Really great series and a great plugin. You guys working together on this demo was also great. I love the export feature you can find that right cab and export the ir and load it in to an amp sim like ndsp archetype nolly and its fab. And the €40 price tag was much appreciated, I would be happy to pay alot more tbh

Yes, but you would have to still use the actual application to make the IR. You set it to the way you like through either the standalone application or DAW while playing through your Quad Cortex, but with the cab sim turned off in the device. When you find the mix that you like, you can export the IR as a wav file to put it on your Quad Cortex. Do check on what's the requirement though as I believe you can either export the IR in 500ms or 1000ms.
Hey Holly. How are these different from the Cab IRs that you did for your own Archetype Nolly plugin and the other Neural DSP plugins you also created cab IRs for? It seems there's a lot of overlap between those (since some of them seems to also feature AC30 speakers and same sets of mics) and the Cali Oversized, but the Cali has additional flexibility such as loading multiple IRs, the dark/bright and mastering EQ features?
Maybe a silly question but what was being used to send the real amp to the computer? Some kind of two notes device? And is using a real amp really any better than an amp sim with the cali cabs?
The amp head runs into a loadbox into an interface. And like all these things - it depends on all the small variables! But there's something special about a block letter in the flesh!
Nah its a separate piece of software, i use the archetype nolly and then turn off (right click) the cab section of the plugin and then load this new ggd cali cabs under the nolly plugin in my fx chain inside the daw. This plugin is worth the $40.00 for sure.

For this we used the Suhr Reactive Load Box straight into a UA Apollo Interface into Logic!

How do you record just the amp sound without speaker?
You need to run the head into a loadbox!

Damn that doesnt change any where as much as with high gain
less frequencies to change coming out of the amp, the differencs were pretty wild with the high gain
