Those IRs sound phenomenal!!
I came here for the review I know I can always trust. Thanks for the insight! This helps me make the decision if I'll be picking this up.
Sounds great! Just picked this up!
The riffage is just ever so sick, good sir
Idk what it is about this particular pack but it certainly perked my ears right up. Definitely going to be picking this up. This will be my first ggd product.
Your videos always make me very happy ❤ Thanks for being part of this release!
Thanks a lot man! I'm stoked about it too! You did a wonderful job!
I’ve been mixing the MAR-TV with the AV or the Friedman together and putting in the Orange for some extra thick low/low mids as a go-to. Its crazy how easy and fast it is to dial in head splitting tones!
The Mar-TV and AV have been my favorites for the rhythm tone so far. Honestly, probably one of my favorites in the GGD IR lineup. Overall, all of their IRs work in different ways and can make it fit in different ways.
🔥
These sound cool but I’m 100% happy with my Ownhammer Rock Box packs. I have the Lynch, Scumback, EVH and Vintage 30. I’m in Dad Rock heaven. 😂👍
Fantastic video review Jon, already bought it... what's annoying is the volume drop when solo one of the cabinets. Also have all the other GGD Studio Cabs plugins and all of them have that same "issue". Sometimes that keeps me away from using them against any other IR loader solutions. Such a shame they are not concerned about fixing this. The product is excellent.
We are concerned and we always listen. There are some limitations in the current engine that doesn’t allow us to implement that easily, although it’s just how faders normally work in a DAW.
BUT, I do get your point, so I implemented a “solo exclusive” feature in this product that permits to solo tracks individually by doing option+click on each ‘Solo’ button for easy and fast auditions and comparisons. When doing so, volume is stable.
Apart from it, the .wav export function allows people to use the IRs outside of the plugin, so you can easily do that as well
We will revamp the engine to include normalized output regardless
@@FrancescoFiligoi Thanks so much Francesco for your tournaround solutions in the meantime you work in fixing this. What is weird is the volume doesn't bump in the same obvious way nor levels when any new cabinet is added, but it's very obvious when any cabinet is muted/soloed, so that's the point about my "criticism" of this feature. This is obviously a real problem in a mixing situation when gain staging should be preserved. The solo exclusive is a very nice addition, thanks so much for this... so I suggest it should be also included in previous GGD Studio Cabs plugins. The IRs on this one sounds beyond marvelous. Bravo. For Contenders Round 2, I would kindly suggest to include room/ambient mics also. Keep up the good work man!
I reported the solo volume issue over a year ago to GGD support and they responded. "

Hi Ray,
Thank you for the extra clarification.
We are looking into fixing this on a future update.
Please let me know if you have any further feedback on the issue. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
Thanks,
GGD Support."
That amp!!!!

How do these compare to the Rockbox IRs ? I’ve considered getting 1 of the GGD plugins just to have the option to blend in a room mic with my favorite IRs even if I don’t like theirs as much. I’ve heard the room mics in the gold pack was really good
It's always difficult to explain differences like that with words. The cab and speaker specimens are different, shot by different people, different room etc so it's just all different flavors
Surprised not to see a mesa OS
Right, isn’t that Nollys favorite?
@@stevierylifts9652 yes but they have an entire plugin suite with 8 different mesa OS enclosures with V30s lol
PLEASE! GGD contenders vs ML Reflex Cabs
Never happen, sponsored by ML.
I have all GGD cabs. But this one i think is a little bit bright
Well, keep in mind that I used the 57 for most of the video. A lot of the included mixes and other mics are warmer
@@SonicDriveStudio oh. Got it
Half the cabs are 16 ohm which are brighter than 8 ohm cabs.
@@RayFerretti okay man
Let's not overcomplicate things. If you like dark tones just use a darker mic and set the pot below the channel to the darker position. Easypeasy
