    I agree with Professor x in this situation. He didn't give the school to his enemy, but his best friend, whom he trusted (he was doing a good job of it for a while, too). Scott was thinking about leaving the team in the first place anyway. The problem was that the humans were stupid as h$// and both time and fate were against them.

    In hindsight, Xavier really should had that talked with him before he "died". Yes I know death are unexpected but I mean like given out the Will incase you died unexpectly!

      Not only that but later on is surprised when Scott goes militant. Seriously you not only drill ideals into a guy's head but also put him in charge of a team that repeatedly gets sent on quasi-military operations repeatedly...and you're shocked when he reaches a point where he starts thinking being a hammer to the nail that is the ongoing problems isn't such a bad idea?

    I mean I kind of get where he's coming from but Xavier giving Magneto the school....really had nothing to do with either Genosha or Magneto's response to it. Magneto really didn't do anything wrong when he was acting as the leader of the x-men, only after he was freed from Bastion after Genosha, which I think he'd have done with or without having very briefly led the X men.

    • @lskulski
      @lskulski Месяц назад +7

      Magneto isn’t really in a listening mood right now, so Charles talking it out with him wouldn’t have changed his mind this time. Magneto just barely survived a horrific genocide for the second time in his life, and he is way past talking about it at this point. It would have made stoping bastion easier though, and at least then the X-men might still have rogue and sunspot, at least until magneto got around to pitching his plans to them.

    Onslaught to the xmen and magneto if he shows up: ah here they are, the ungrateful selfish mob that father calls friends, how we hate you all.
    Cyclops: you know nothing about the professor
    Onslaught: dont I boy? I am him (looks at magneto) also a bit of him to be fair but mostly, I am charles xavier pain and anger, the side of himself that he pushed so deep inside till it became the core of his very being. Perhaps you are the one who knows nothing of the man summers. But then again how could you, you always idolized him and treated him like a mentor rather than a person, all of you. He endured the scorn of so many for you, gave you a home when no one wanted you, trained you so you could be prepared for a cruel world but the moment you discovered he allowed himself to be happy for once that was too much to bear uh? Would have been better if he died a martyr right?
