@@thenae8572 I love it. I have had it hung ever since it came in. It's way more comfortable than my Eno. Plenty of room and the shelf for storing things is nice. I got the Whoopie suspension. It's infinitely adjustable. You'll love yours.

Could I just loop the tree strap around the tree and then through the loop at the end of the tree strap, or do I need to use a hook or carabiner?
I've been doing that, but wonder if I am making a mistake.

I just bought an Eldorado. It's great so far.. But unless you use a Marlon Spike you need 4 fish hooks. You should state this on your website. I just bought what you recommended. Now I am 2 fishhooks short and you guys are a half a world away.

Some more easily acquired carabiners could be used for the tree straps, too, but I agree.

You want your whoopie sling around the marlin spike NOT the toggle!

Why does this seem like a needless pain in the ass?
    Strap around tree
Clip carabiner built into the hammock
    Boom!
    Done!
    What's the point?
Watching more vids on this topic.
Maybe I'll find what I'm missing.

Sounds like you're talking about a daisy chain webbing setup where you clip a biner into the different built in loops for adjustment...whoopies would be a lighter more compact option than that for people concerned about packweight or packed bulk. for a super easy suspension option see our webbing/buckles option. Clip around the tree and just pull to tighten, easy enough to do with gloves on

      Yea!
Aside from maybe weight I still do not see the benefit of using a complicated string with hooks and straps and metal chopsticks.
When you can carry 2 straps that loop around a tree and hang your rig.

    • @warbonnetoutdoors211

@@jymmydkid5633 How do you adjust the length of your strap? The whoopie adjusts pretty darn quickly with no knots required, that is the main point of it, but it is certainly one option of many that you have. If you like tying knots or using daisy chain and carabiners those can be good options too depending on your preferences, but some people want a light, low bulk suspension and others want something knot free. A whoopie sling is probably one of the lightest knot free solutions out there and it's pretty easy to adjust once you know how to use it.

      I can see weight factor.
I have to loop straps and a hammock.
      That's it.
I adjust as you would with any loop straps.
      No knots.
      I get a 30% sag.
Even though I prefer my feet be lower than my head.
Just the vids I've watched on the topic seem to have too many parts (too lose) as well as weak spots for breakage.
I had a VW bus free roll right through my ENO.
Snapped the rope ends and bent the carabiners.
      Didn't harm Mallo-me straps.
      Restrung the ENO.
Installed a set of nite-ize S-biners and I was back in biz.

Besides feeding the hobby addiction of trying various things, it is super lightweight, easy to connect, disconnect, and adjust, packs up into a very compact size, and the tail of the whoopie under the tarp makes a fine water break. My complete suspension system weighs 5 ounces. No downside to this system at all. I carry two toggles in case the hang is really tight, but otherwise have the whoopie fixed loop larks headed through one of the strap loops, with the hook attached on the adjustable loop end to the hammock continiuos loop.

incredibly confusing --- if this video is for people who DON'T know how to do all this stuff you should take it from the top and be a little more simple about things. It's strange to say but too many suspension options is confusing. Keep it simple with straps and buckles.

Does it bother anyone else that Warbonnet has a logo of a Native American with a Native American head dress and it's owned by a white man? I bought an underquilt from this company and when I saw the logo I had to send it back and they charged me a 20% restocking fee but I could not stomach the cultural appropriation by this company.

Nope as a quarter Cherokee it doesn't bother me at all, it's pretty nice I think actually to see Brandon Waddy honoring the Ute tribe by using a picture of one of the cheifs from Colorado. I don't why you people get your panties in a bunch at anything that honors native Americans . By the way Brandon isn't native American at all he just felt the need to honor the sky tribe because that's where he builds them.

Absolutely love that the chief looks like a Ute Indian. What does bother me though is they renamed a football team that we had zero issues with either so some democrat could use it for more nonsense to protest about.
