As a man who loves sweet things like your beautiful lecture I think a little sweet drink like lemonade or a small piece of fruit and read the story again always makes a even sweeter version at least that is how I did well in my studies and be well rested because you seem tired. In Psalm 81.11 we read: "I the Eternal, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will satisfy you"
So if Yakov's descendants prayed, after reciting the above verse in Hebrew, will they be heard and answered for sure?
Psalm of the Mitsvots
May I be the first (Avraham), on the day of redemption to fulfill Thy Mitsvot.
May I have wealth in abundance (Yitschak) to practice Tzedakah to the poor of Your people and thus fulfill Your most precious Mitsvots.
May I have powerful physical and spiritual forces (Yaakov) to take away from me everything that prevents me from practicing Thy Mitsvots.
May I have Your right hand at my side to overcome my enemies (ISRAEL) who are Your enemies who reject Your Mitsvots.
May I have perfect health, longevity (Moshé Rabeinu) to preach the lessons of Thy Mitsvot to the world.
May I hear Your voice (Shmuel) waking me up to fulfill Your Mitsvot.
May I be invincible in war (David) and followed in Peace (Moshiach) so that everyone can fulfill Your Mitsvot Amén

Would you be able to explain Ellizer and the priest of baal.The story truly makes no sense. Why after challenging baal and proving baal was a false g-ds and Hashem was the true G-D he ran away like a scared rabbit.He was fearless in challenge them and made fun of them and when Hashem proved him right then he ran away?
David, that is simple. The prophets of baal were dependent upon the monarch for their sustenance, and the monarch was angered by the exposure of her servants as foolish people. She therefore put out a decree against the true prophet, and he fled for his life. But he was protected by YHWH, and he survived the evil doers. In fact he went up and yet is not dead, but rather a totally perfect man who conquered all of his fears and lower self. Eliyahu will testify at the final judgment and justice will be done for all.
I can be persuaded to agree with all these spiritualistic and highly metaphorical interpretations, since any literal interpretation is untenable on the face of reason. However, I see a pattern of advocating a blind submission to a very needy God who always wants, desires, needs, demands, expects, craves (even drools over) and consumes our obedience, service and even love with no regard whatsoever for our own desires or aspirations. I don't see an iota of reasonable questioning of this overly-zealous God who seems to be concerned only with himself and his desires at our expense. Any thoughts?
Why was Ovadia in debt? I know it was a noble reason but don’t remember why.

So why would you need a Moshiach, surely if the power is in our own souls to know our Creator, a Moshiach would not be needed. Where is the problem, unbelief, self control, or somewhere else. Well we know the way of the world, but it is the way that leads to destruction, so would a Moshiach stop this rampant destruction of our G-d given home, as you know G-d could do that, but could that sort of power be given to a modern human individual who could not be corrupted by it. Food for thought, I'll stop there.

@Devorah Abrahamsdotter You mean only the TaNakh section, commonly known in english as the old Testament. disregarding the Brit Chadashah, known in english as the New Testament; assume you are not talking about Isaiah 53, as I was under the impression that chapter is skipped nowadays in teaching. Would you care to share the chapter in Isaiah, though I could find it, it saves a bit of time.
Another problem is the Masoretic alterations, though that is overcome by diverting back to the LXX.
@Devorah Abrahamsdotter Thank you. This time of peace, is also spoken about in the book of Revelation, but it only lasts for a millenium, then there is a massive war, which destroys everything, and a New Heaven and Earth are created. That's a basic outline as it goes over several chapters.
@Devorah Abrahamsdotter I don't claim to be a Christian, the term Christ is from Koine Greek, meaning annointed one, and I don't plan to convert to any belief system, I believe G-d created us, and the universe. It's personal, there are many gods in this world, but there is only one true G-d in reality, and He will do as He wills to do. But mankind is currently destroying the planet, and species are disappearing at an alarming rate, I know this because I am a member of Greenpeace, and I get regular updates by post, so news channels may skew facts, but the evidence is mounting, you look for the Moshiach to come, I await his return, but that a Christian doesn't make me, because the Moshiach was/ is a Jew, by his mother.And a son of G-d, by his Father. Not my words, but the words of the witnessed evidence, did not G-d call Israel His son, but what did Israel do to be dissapated from the Northern Kingdom.... And what do most worldly people do, in regard to objects.... They certainly didn't/don't worship G-d, and no other.

At the beginning of the Book of Genesis of Rashi it is written in comment 1.1 "Gd created the world for the Torah ....proverbs 8.22 .... and, for Yisrael ...... Jeremiah 2.3We conclude from this prophetic passage that it will not make sense to find intelligent life on other planets outside the EARTH because that is where the origin and stability of the existence of the world live: TORAH AND YISRAEL!
Therefore, we have already witnessed man unveiling space at distances of thousands and thousands of light years and the father of psychoanalysis J.G. Yung debunking the flying saucer myth calling them "a modern myth" and it is time to spread it amongall nations because the professions dictate that at the end of time foreign nations will bow down to the Eternal (Jeremiah 8.23)

The story always made plenty of sense. It is the Holy Spirit that brings light to a person’s soul. Your insights always contain an element of adding to the Word of God something that is not there, but you decide to pass on as a commandment, precept or statute.
If you only knew what they really did in a kjv or any greek western translation...you christians would/will be having your jaws hit the floor!!
@@hanialhalaluyahuah222 I am Jewish, but am aware that several Christian translations are lacking and/or unfaithful. What I am talking about is taking a tradition and turning it into a commandment, or making a commandment out of something some sage said way back when.
