I am a junior doctor in India and came across this poisoning case today. The patient looked cheerful and very stable, but my medicine consultant kept saying it was a grave prognosis. I just had to come here and learn more about it to understand the prognosis; very well-made video thank you.
Thank you for your feedback. In poisoning cases, appearances can be deceiving, and clinical stability does not always correlate with prognosis. Stay vigilant and always trust comprehensive clinical assessments.
The person who commented this is mentioning about the 'Sharon raj murder case' where a 22 year old woman greeshma poisend her long term boyfriend Sharon raj due to disturbing reasons
I work at a government emergency centre in India as a Junior Resident, We get 1-2 patients with paraquat poisoning every week, sometimes more, Most of the nursing staff assumes the patient to soon pass away or have poor prognosis as soon as they come to know its paraquat poisoning.
My grandpa used to use all kinds of jacked up chemicals in sprayers and would spray on a tractor that didn't have an enclosed cab he was the kinda guy that if it didn't make him sick immediately he didn't worry about it but long story short he developed a rare form of Parkinson's and had to take levadopa in his later years after he sold the farm he was dead in 7 years at 86 years old. I have kept a few jugs of what was left over in his barn bc I am convinced that it's the reason for early demise. Also worries me bc as a kid I would crawl around in those tanks and play on the tractor and implements as a little kid lol
@jabroski69 I’m really sorry to hear about your grandpa and the concerns you’re having. Exposure to harmful chemicals, especially pesticides and herbicides, has been linked to certain health conditions, including Parkinson's disease. While it's difficult to pinpoint a direct cause in any individual case, it's understandable that you're worried about the potential impact it may have had on him, and even on you as a child. It’s always a good idea to take precautions when handling old chemicals or anything that might pose health risks. If you're feeling concerned about your own health, it could be helpful to talk to a healthcare professional who can offer guidance and reassurance. It's important to prioritize your well-being and avoid unnecessary exposure to hazardous substances.
@MzClementine Dopamine toxicity can refer to an excess of dopamine in the brain, which can occur due to various reasons, including substance use, medication side effects, or even certain mental health conditions. Dopamine plays a key role in mood regulation, reward, and motivation, so too much dopamine can lead to symptoms like anxiety, agitation, increased energy, impulsivity, or even psychosis in extreme cases. If you believe you’re experiencing dopamine toxicity or any other mental health or neurological concern, it’s really important to consult a healthcare provider. A doctor or mental health professional can assess your situation, evaluate any medications or lifestyle factors, and help you with a proper treatment plan to restore balance and prevent further complications. Make sure you take care of yourself, and don't hesitate to reach out for help. It's great that you're seeking answers, but professional guidance is the best way to navigate these complex issues.
Yeah I read. It blocks thiamine production. And wears out our dopamine receptor. So then the brain becomes absolutely toxic with it. Paraquat and glyphosate both give the same effect. Interesting 🤔 not good
