My grandson & the family have Nerf gun wars all the time. He hides his ammo around the house & then it’s every man & Memaw for themselves. He has a pegboard wall of nerf guns & buckets full of darts. He’s autistic & honestly I never thought I would have these play time opportunities with him. The day my daughter & family moved onto the property was a good day!!!. God has blessed us.

I smiled along to the whole video. MAV is precious. I have to thank both Amber and Granger. Your story provided me hope. Weve suffered multiple miscarriages, im now 42yo. My 4yo came at 30 weeks with a very difficult pregnancy. You showed me how positivity can lead to great things and having a grateful heart continues to provide blessings. Again, Im 42 and just found out im now 7 weeks preggo. Id love for you to share your prayers and well wishes on us just down the road! You are an inspiration to providing a loving and fulfilling lifw to my husband and children. Thank you for sharing your lives! Its often a bright spot thru the difficulties of everyday life.

Watching this video of your beautiful son Maverick turning one years old reminds me of how terribly fast time goes. It seems like just yesterday that Amber was pregnant. Fast forward and here you are celebrating Mav's 1st Birthday. Congratulations and Happy Birthday little man. The love in this family is unbelievable and a reminder for all of us that family is first last and everything in between.
Those who know me from FB and the music business know that I am a writer and I generally have something special for every occasion. I did not realize that I have nothing for Birthdays. I have a new life quotes book being published in the spring so I went through all my recent quotes that will be in the book and found this quote that reminded me of the Smith family. I hope you like it as I am dedicating it to Maverick and the Smith family when my book is released. If that is something you don't want just tell me and I will just send you a framed copy for your home. Love you guys and hope that the coming year will bring you joy, happiness and above all Gods abundant love. Thank you for the Christian values you live every day and the example you set!
It is easy to become cynical in a world that often seems to test us both mentally and physically, to challenge our beliefs and to set us on a course of personal and collective destruction. But it is my hope that despite all the negativity and adversity that surrounds us, we might rise above it all and greet each new day with a sense of optimism and hope. I am reminded of an old Chinese proverb that best describes these daily trials: "A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials" Adversity is a fact of life. It can't be controlled. What we can control however is how we react to it. After all the roots of a tree and its weakness are only revealed after the storm has passed!
