It makes me happy that both Challenge coins I have given Granger made this episode! It’s nice to know that these mean something to y’all! #StormTrooper
My husband passed away last year and had many challenge coins. My daughter took them home with her because she's building a big shadowbox for each of her siblings and herself and wanted to put some in each. Along with some other mementos of his. Thank you Granger for going over to the middle east for the troops. I know they appreciated it. I love how you explain important things like that to your children! God bless you all 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@MrsAlmaTrumble yes. She's very good at that sort of thing and I thought it was a special thing for them to each have something. God bless Mrs Alma 🙏🤗🙏🤗
The "Ninja star" coin is an Air Force coin and the points sticking out are actually vertical stabilizers from different types of aircraft. I don't know who's coin it is, but I did recognize an F-16, A-10, F-15, and one other I know, but can't recall. Old age is a blessing. LOL Love the videos of the family and the kids. Our grandkids are just a bit south of y'all in Pflugerville but we haven't seen them in a couple of Christmases. We keep praying for that to change though. Love y'all.
They are all amazing but the FDNY was probably one of my favorites. Been a volunteer firefighter since July 2002, I'm 36 now and wouldn't give it up for anything, once it's in your blood your hooked, lol. God Bless and so thankful for all our amazing veterans/armed forces active and inactive, and all emergency personnel.
Those would be beautiful against a black background, enclosed in a glass case. You made a difference in order for those men and women to give these to you. ❤
Awesome! An that your son is learning the appreciation of our men an women that serve us 💕 an your daughter also appreciates! Dad an son time!! Blessed
Grainger , thank you for all you have done for the vets and serving person's military and civilian . I just watched this video where you showed your older boy your collection of your challenge coins . Some I recognize and some I actually have but as I watched you and your son I could actually hear your voice catch as you described to your son where they came from and what they mean to you . Thank you for sharing this with us !...!...!
Thanks for sharing the challenge coins with us. It was so special watching you and Lincoln enjoy them. Amber, I'm glad you were able to get some time away with your friend. You deserve it. Hope Granger is feeling better. Blessings. ❤🙏
Granger, that that is the most awesome challenge coin collection I have ever seen. I didn’t know about challenge coins until about a couple months ago. My dad served in world war ll, my brother was in Vietnam. I was number 12 on the draft and one week before my physical I was hit by a train. I did not pass my physical because my knee was messed up from the train wreck. I still believe today that God had other plans for me other than the army and maybe go to Vietnam myself. Thank you Granger for serving our country. God bless you and your family. 🙏🇺🇸
True happiness is to enjoy the present without overthinking the future or dwelling on past memories. Be happy and feel your present right from this Thursday! Have a Beautiful and Blessed evening/ day and weekend. See you next video. Stay safe and healthy. God Bless.
So awesome of Granger to show Lincoln his collection of keepsakes. Those were really nice. It's a hoot to watch Maverick and I see we have a couple of bottom teeth. Oh Amber that was a nice place for a short outing. So much fun watching. Love y'all
Good job dad in teaching what priceless means..... those coins mean so much to the people that gave them to you, and it's so incredible that those people felt honored to share a small snippet of their life with you and your family.
Granger, such a sweet lesson to share with Lincoln. Sentimental things are so much better than money!!!! Amber, that hotel looked so neat. Glad you were able to get away. I hope you're feeling better Granger. Maverick is such a little sweetheart. His little smile makes my day. Ya'll are the sweetest family. :)
Wow! That's a lot of cc. My son collects them. We bought cool little plastic stands they sit in and arrange them on a night stand. So beautiful to see monarch butterflies.... they've disappeared from our area in New England.
Appreciate those barn updates. Thank you for taking us along on that journey. Love the challenge coin collection. Seeing the collection was great, but I think I enjoyed seeing you spending time and explaining things to Lincoln more. Glad Amber got to have a fun trip. #YeeYee
I have never heard of Challenge Coins. They are beautiful& truly priceless. Hotel Lucy is adorable! So glad you & your BFF got some time alone, Amber. Maverick waving & saying hi is soo cute!
The challenge coin collection is priceless. PLEASE keep them all, you are so right each one is someone you met along the way. each person that transferred that coin to you is special. What a great honor all of those individual people bestowed upon you!! Amber-Hotel Lucy looks amazing and I have already recommended it to some of my friends that are in that area. Maverick is so adorable.
MY SON IS A FIREMAN AND HAS BEEN SENCE HE WAS IN THE 6TH GRADE, HE IS NOW 44. HE ALSO DOES WILD LAND FIRES SO HE GOES ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, HE HAS BEEN TO TEXAS A FEW TIMES. I LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND THE VALUES YOU TEACH YOUR CHILDREN. AMBERS VIDEO ABOUT RIVERS KIDNEY HAD ME IN TEARS. GOD BLESS YOU ALL HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND A SAFE NEW YEARS.
The badge you (Lincoln) picked up that looks like the ninja star is from the 57 Maintenance Group (57 mxg) at Nellis AFB, NV (near Las Vegas). The insignia on the front of the coin are (what looks like) the maintenance and munitions badge (9 level - has oak leaves). I had one of these without the oak leaves around the star (7 level). The the rank for Colonel and Chief Master Sergeant. What looks like the blades of the star are the tail of the different aircraft they service. Looks like The A-10 (square looking tail), F-22(?) (trapezoid shaped tail), F-15s (the have the straight back with the thingy at the top), F-16s 'appear' to be the rest. The letters on the tail represent the base the plane is from, my list is old but "WA" is Nellis AFB, "OT" may be Cannon AFB, NM. Not sure on the back of the back of the coin. It may represent the weapons loaders. The men and women that load the stuff that goes BOOM on the aircraft. An old chief I worked with that was in the USAF during Vietnam called them BB stackers. 😆
Thank you for all of these details! It really is incredible how much of a snapshot of their challenge award is in each challenge coin. Very interesting, thank you.
Those challenge coins are great. I actually saw one of Granger's concerts in Ramadi, Iraq in 2008. It was on a small stage next to a Green Beans coffee stand, I think it was around Christmas and New Year. I didn't know who Granger Smith was, but if he was willing to come to us, I wanted to make sure I attended his concert. I remember it being a great time of relaxing and sipping on coffee.
Amber you do so much for your family and everyone else. You deserved a quick getaway with your bestie. Everyone needs time to just reset your clock and pamper yourself. Happy Birthday ladies and may all of your wishes come true. Hope you feel better soon Granger. God Bless y’all and your families. Happy Holiday Season and Merry Christmas.
Granger you should think about building a case to display all of your challenge coins. That could be a good winter project for you and Lincoln to work on. You are an amazing father.
The challenge coins!! I remember when you brought those out for London and Lincoln at the last house at the dining room table! So cool! The barn progress is looking amazing! I really really hope (I’ve been praying) that I’ll be a guest in the Smith barn! What a fun night for Christina and Amber at the Lucy Hotel! Loved the episode (sorry, I’m so behind on commenting but I have watched all the episodes)!
I have to say that your Challenge Coins are extremely special. It brought tears to my eyes when you were teaching Lincoln how you receive a Challenge Coin and about them. Sentimental value is worth way more than any money. Maybe you can take each one, going from design and write down when and where you received it. This information will be so useful for your children and you one day. Hopefully you can store them where you can see the front and back of each one. They’re all just amazing and special. 🇺🇸 Maverick is just so cute. I’m so happy Amber that you took time for yourself and celebrated with best friend. The place where y’all stayed was so darn cute. Hope Granger is feeling better and no one else catches it. This was a great video. Thank you for sharing this with us. 🦋🎈🏎️🦖❤️
These challenge coins are awesome!!! I wish I had half of them!!! My grandpa started a non profit organization to start an airshow in Monroe, NC to preserve history and teach the younger generations the sacrifices made to live in a free country. He has since passed, but one day I intend to take over after school and continue his legacy! We also have a challenge coin! Warriors and Warbirds (his organization) operates and maintains one of the only flying C-46’s in the world. So the challenge coin has the organization logo on one side and the “Tinker Belle” C-46 on the other!

Hey Smiths ❤️ seeing the whole family is doing well. Because of you & Amber I see now how a marriage is supposed to be working together on all parts of life. 📣 MOONRISE MOVIE COUNTDOWN 📣 🎬 TWO WEEKS, FOURTEEN DAYS 🎬 FYI. In This House would make a great intro tune for your next intro for The Smith's. The guest barn is coming along. I wish we all could have a turn spending the night there with you all. Maverick is so mobile now. I kinda chuckled when he was going in the dryer. My son is 5 and still does that sometimes. They are super explorers at this age. Have a great weekend Smith Family. #YEEYEE 🤠 #LIVELIKERIV 🎈 #MoonriseMovie 📽️
I'm pretty sure if you wanted to take London to the hotel they would allow it since you're her mother . I think the 18 and up means to actually rent a room. It is lovely though but I would take her ! #motherdaughterouting

📣 MOONRISE MOVIE COUNTDOWN 📣
🎬 TWO WEEKS, FOURTEEN DAYS 🎬
FYI.

That’s so awesome you have that amazing coin from Kirkuk my husband was stationed there on that air force base.
I'm pretty sure if you wanted to take London to the hotel they would allow it since you're her mother . I think the 18 and up means to actually rent a room. It is lovely though but I would take her ! #motherdaughterouting
There are no kids or pets allowed on the property, but they have a house down the street that allows it and it’s just as cute!
@@TheSmithsTV well shucks, you can take her when she's 18 then, I've never heard a place be like that, interesting though
This is so awesome! 👌
What is a challenge coin
