Regarding the mine below Tarrey town: In Botw, before you start building the town, there is already a goddess statue. It wouldn't make sense to have a goddess in the middle of nowhere, so maybe there was an important monument/building in that location
In BotW, in the waters surrounding Terry Town, there are decayed structures of old buildings just below the surface (similar to the Great Tree Stump in West Hyrule Field). There are also old structures in the low lands West of Terry Town, which is further explored in TotK.
That's straight up disinformation. Nowhere in the diary in Japanese does it state that they live together. Feel free to provide evidence in Japanese if you claim otherwise, I'm a native Japanese speaker. She only ever refers to the house as "家" (house), nothing more. Also, there's no way Nintendo would do that. Cohabitation before marriage is heavily stigmatized and frowned up in Japanese culture, and Nintendo as a company is very conservative. (as is most of Japan) If there's any chance of pushing the whole "Link and Zelda are living together", it's the English localization team taking too much liberty. Also it's not Japanese "translation"; that's the original language that the game was written in. All other languages are a translation FROM Japanese.
Here’s a really cool location for you to check out: There is a bear den located just southwest of Crenel Peak(coordinates 1110,231 on the surface). It’s almost completely surrounded by a cliff and has some trees, a small pond, and even a cave entrance that leads to a shrine. It’s amazing how secluded it is even though it’s right off the road and most people go right past without even knowing it’s there.
5:51 this chasm is really interesting to me because i’m pretty sure it has just straight up been open this whole time. the fact that there was a sheikah tower directly ascending all the way from there in botw really does imply that there were still zonai around by the time of calamity ganon (which. is canon anyways but) even if they were different from rauru and mineru and there was also collaboration with the sheikah beyond just the sheikah being inspired by older zonai technology
I think the importance of Tarrey Town or rather the mine beneath it stems from the fact that the sky islands above Akkala include one that is called the "Sky Mine" and several NPCs (even Yiga) comment on how during the Upheaval more Zonai parts rained down on Akkala than anywhere else in Hyrule. It seems the Akkala region was rather important during the Zonai age which would explain the mine down there even though Tarrey Town is rather young.
Inside the Great Deku Tree, stand near the cooking pot and use Ascend. You reach a secret room inside the Great Deku Tree with no physical exits. A korok is there and will give you a simple quest. You need to use Ascend to exit. Not sure how you would even know this existed without a strategy guide, or (like me) just want a quick route to the top of the Great Deku Tree.
if you talk to some of the koroks in the forest, they will complain about their friend Peeks hiding in the mouth of the Deku Tree. that's how I found out about it
Favorite Zelda game of all time. ❤ I spent 2 years playing it on and off because it’s so overwhelming, and I’m down to finding the last 5 Bublefrogs. It’s getting harder to find them. So much to do in this game!
Yes. Somehow "on & off" playstyle works so well with TOTK better than any game ever made. I picked it back up after 6 months (LOL) and I'm realizing now it's one of the greatest games ever made
There's a possible fourth dark skeleton that isn't labeled as one, and the head is missing, (or is it?) under the Faron region, by the Construct Factory. The body of the skeleton also appears to line up with the carved Zonai dragon head on the surface (The spring of courage), and the carved head matches in size to the other dark skeleton heads. Interesting little detail to put in the game.
Rist mine is a spiral mine in the dephts on the northeast of the map. It’s like a mini dungeon where you have to fight enemies until you arrive at the mine, it is so cool. It is right next to the tarrey town mine.
One of the best games off all time imo, I like the sky island in the bottom right of the map with the King Gleeok because you get a beautiful view of the mainland.
An ordinary apple will do for Satori. It doesn't need to be golden. As far as the dragons go, being immortal doesn't always mean one can't die from other causes such as illness or injury. It means one can't die of old age. The Lord of the Rings is a good example for this since elves are immortal but can still be killed.
I have a location for you, Zonaite Forge Island. It is located in the sky above Fort Hateno. The only ways to access it (that I know of) are by jumping off the easternmost part of the Great Sky Island, or by jumping in a southern or southwestern direction from the little island above the Lanayru Road Lake. I highly encourage you to check this place out.
Also, the island you're talking about is a good place to get to the Light Dragon. No deku tree quest, any amount of stamina required, and no need for Tulin's power.
The North Akkala Beach Cave is a pretty interesting place. It's a little southwest of Rasiwak Shrine (around 4645, 3207, 0009), and it's actually a tunnel that goes under the ocean and takes you all the way to Lomei Island! There are some enemies there, including a Black Hinox, and it takes you into the chamber with the chasm and Gloom Hands. But switch it around, and you can use the cave as an escape from the Gloom Hands if you need it...just at the cost of facing a Black Hinox instead, lol.
Before zelda went back to the past they were exploring hyrule after the events of the calamity from botw which in canon link had helped build terry town, it’s possible Zelda could have suggested a mine where terry town stands as she knew that’s where terry town would be in the present day
The cave from the thumbnail is such a cool little place. And the tiny area with the deep, dark water behind the gate in there is pretty terrifying, even though nothing is in there (well nothing we can see, anyway...) Also, you don't need to offer a golden apple to the Satori cherry blossoms, just any kind of fruit at all will work.
There is a really interesting unknown spot under "mountain crow" island from one of your other videos. You can see on the map, mountain crow island is connecting to the Island to the south of it in the depths. I don't have the exact co-ords, but there is a hidden cave with a chasm in it in the southwest hill on this island. It will take you to the area below which has nothing but blue-white frox. Without a lightroot, many people overlook this place. There is a similar island on the other side of hyrule castle that does has a lightroot, as well as another blue-white frox. The cave entrance should be just above the water on the southwest coast of the island. these areas are very easy to take note of and grind for frox fangs as you need 15 total to max out the depths armor. I deliberately searched for these chasms for ages to no avail. Also I think this is the only point on the map in the depths with a chasm with not lightroot (besides the tingle island chain, but that one is more obvious)
The dragons are immortal, not invincible. They’ll live forever naturally, but if you do enough physical damage to ‘em, they’ll drop from the sky for good.
one of my favorite spots on the whole map is lake ferona cave. the entrance is at the northwest corner of lake ferona (the western hot spring at the maw of death mountain). it’s just a cave with a hot spring inside, but something about it is very nice- no monsters, no treasure, nothing there but a bubbulfrog in a cavern behind some breakable rocks to the right of the entrance. no quest or puzzle. just a really pretty cave, especially when the sun or moon shines through the entrance above the little island in the spring. the coordinates of the entrance are 1929, 1276, 0128. i think it’s really pretty :) edit: the light shines through a big hole in the ceiling, which is another entrance! i was mistaken there haha
For the Mine under Tarrey Town, it probably has that name because it didn’t have a known name. The zonai from back then definitely had names for the mines but they’re not the ones we see as soon as we enter the area. Okay, so I found an island next to Hyrule Castle where you can get arrows. They it stacked exactly where you'd think it is on the map. It is exactly 082805-60028. It's not that far. From Harold Castle you can get unlimited arrows here they respond every blood moon
Tenoko Island in the necluda sea is a beautiful place to look at the sunset. But also it is the only spot to find the Lurelin village boats. It's part of the: Way to trade, washed away. Side quest.
In botw tarry town starts with a bunch of rock piles and a goddess statue. Maybe the botw goddess statue is the only thing remaining of an older settlement. Could be? That would be why the mine is there. Also there are ruins underwater in the lake - I about forgot that. That's definitely sign of an older settlement. It's close enough. Cool Video!
If you haven't done this one already, you should do the kakariko village well! There's these maze like Zonai ruins inside of it, as well as a small garden, and an old notebook belonging to Dorian's wife.
That book was odd. It talks about the kids favorite foods, so I went out and made them, but there doesn't seem to be any way to give them to the kids or anything.
@@SteveMcSteveson Yeah, I did the same thing and couldn't find a way to give it to them either. I guess it's just a sad little reference to those who knew of her fate from botw. @@eaglejunior That would have been a really cool reference to OoT, actually. I'm surprised they didn't do something like that! I know Gibdos seem to be more native to the Gerudo region in this game, but even some of them down there would've been neat too.
The gate in the Upland Zorana road is a sluice gate, designed for holding back water. Seems likely that it was built there as a relief for the amount of water that flows through Zora's Domain.
My favorite location is the highest point in the game, it’s the flower above lookout landing, it’s so pretty, you can literally see PAST the map. I love to chill up there sometimes Edit: I recommend going at sunset it’s 📸📸
@@gracefrances2110I’d recommend going from the top of the Room of Awakening island. Then fly close to where it is on the map and just go up. It’s close to the top of the skybox and is basically invisible until you get close.
I’ve got to I don’t think you have talked about yet. One is in the tiny Forest next to Fort Hateno there is a hut stockpiled with basic items. It also has one of the few free beds that you can sleep in. I personally sleep there when I want a free way to heal up between fights and don’t want to use food. Not as big of a deal, but I enjoy the apple orchard next to the Sonapan shrine. It is also on the satori mountain and you could easily gather 50 Apples by visiting that location.
So I don’t remember the name of the mine but it is very cool. If you remember the spiral just outside of tarrey town, where is a long mine version of it in the depths. Just go down the closest pit. Also beware of the little frox.
3:33 the only special thing about the dark skeletons is that the heads contain a treasure from old maps that you find. The first I found was the one in eldin and it made me think of Dodongo from OoT.
6:40 interesting fact: I always believed it had to be a golden apple, but then I tried a normal apple and got the exact same result! Saw some video later that stated that any fruit will do, and if you happen to be out of one then you can use the endura carrot that always grows in the vicinity of these trees.
Lightcast island is a great sky island to visit. It’s in the tabantha sky archipelago and is really big. There is a shrine and a piece of armour located inside amd the atmosphere of the place is really cool.
Tarry town and its statue... Headcanon is that it's built on the site of the North Palace from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. A defensible island with a single entryway must have been used many, many times throughout history, and later abandoned when peace breaks out and it is just remote and hard to access. By the way, Hudson has solved that problem in TotK.
Directly north of the Rasinaduk Lightroot (-4152, -2086, -0496) in the gerudo desert underground, just south of the karusa valley above ground, are some holes filled with gloom. Now these do align with some of the pillars north of the linked shrine. There are no tie-ins or so, just seemed interesting to me.
Lightcast Island, It is a medium island above the mountain where the Tabantha tower was in botw. A shrine is tied to it, but I think most people don't know about it
Bro the black dragons were killed by the ancient heroes (ancient links) AND I HAVE A PROOF ! : You said that there were a chest in they’re mouth with an armor gear ! These are the armors of the other heroes !!!!!!!!! Loving your vids continue like that bro❤
I mean, the place the Tarry Town is ultimately built on is such a eye catching place now (as in BotW-ToTK timeline) that I’m doubtful that it wasn’t so during the Zonai Age. The idea is not far fetched either, just search for prehistoric settlements and religious sites in Europe and you will find a few of them at least and for quite a few of them the reasoning the archeologists come up with to explain that was exactly geographical (things like near fresh water, hills, naturally protected enclosures and so on).
The cave with the gate has a piece of miskos treasure, i can't remember what but i think it was climbing gear. After draining the water behind one of the staircases is a hidden entrance leading to the treasure.
Regarding the Dark Skeletons, there is at least one Old Map that has a Dark Skeleton treasure as the purpose of the old map quest. Old Maps are found in the sky islands, and they are not that easy to find without help, just like the Sage's Wills. Good luck everyone, explore, be bold, and get experienced! I totally dig the Depths of this game! LOL
3:40 To be fair Ganondorf had his Secret Stone implanted into his forehead which was why when he ripped it out his head started releasing some tar-like substance which carried over to his Demon Dragon form. Guess the transformation doesn't fix any wounds you have prior.
Maybe the Dark Skeletons were foils to the elemental dragons, as Dragon Gannon was to the Light Dragon. Maybe something the Ancient Hero had to deal with.
Gerudo Desert Ancient Altar Ruins -2580 -3718 0001 In one of the sand pits. Big underground area with an armor piece and a bunch of electric enemies as well as just being a cool cave.
Maybe the Great skeletons were rulers and protectors of their respective region and so were the dark skeletons but they were attacked during the first calamity. That could’ve been what killed them. Cause since they were so big and presumably powerful they were seen as a threat. I don’t really know if this area has been talked about yet but the cave behind eventide island is a cool little area with how it’s hidden behind the cliff and used as a pirate hideout at the end of the quest for the island
Rutile Lake (near Satori Mountain) is a beautiful place with lots of collectibles, including rare beetles, Endura Carrots, Silent Princess, Coarser Honey and different kinds of fish. It's a forested area with a lake. I put a Travel Medallion on top of a hill filled with flowers!
@@IdkWhatImGonnaPutTbhOk, maybe I missed that one. I know he's done another lake near Satori Mountain. The one full of animals. But that's a different one.
there is a cool hidden chest under where vah ruta was. you have to go down a hole that goes below the water on a zonai structure that fell from the sky and use ascend to reach the chest Edit: it's where vah ruta stood once it took aim at hyrule castle
Pretty sure that, in the context of the Dragons "immortal" means they don't die of old age, not that they are fully deathless. Also, pretty sure they're the "dark" skeletons because they reside in the darkness of the depths.
Theres a tiny cave behind a hotspring in the hebra region. And whenn you follow it and go throu some hidden pasages you can find an ice cave with a lot of different mushrooms
Another location is Tenoko Island. (Idk if I spelled it right) It is tied to a side quest, but on the small island you can find lots of Lurilein Village style boats. Makes me wonder how they got there. (Oh! And you can use these boats for building too.)
you know the monument that hold stone tablets in the sky that look like a star on the mini map? well the one above lookout landing is very high up and it has a amazing view of hyrule
the dragon skeletons in the depths arent dragons. they are much bigger than farosh, dinraal, naydra, and the light dragon. it just says 'dark skeleton', and look extremely similar to the leviathan bones. it still raises a bunch of questions of how the leviathan bones got on 2 layers of the earth, but arent dragons
I HAVE LOCATION PEOPLE MIGHT OF MISSED RIGHT UNDER ARBITTERS GROUNDS IN THE DEPTHS OF GERUDO DESERT IT IS CALL THE GERUDO SEMETERI .(SORRY I can't spell)
Zelda turns into the Light Dragon, which is eternal, but, in my opinion, her doing that is the exception. The other dead dragons, in my opinion, lie in the land of fire, Eldin, land of lightning, Gerudo region, and ice, land of Rito as the precursors to the current three elemental dragons. I think the trinity is the purpose, ie the triforce, for those that look for references to the triforce, ie the trinity, are the most loyal Zelda fans. Loyal is royal, serve honorably!
I found this cave(forgot the name)somewhere in north in Akkala, had a camp of monsters in it and a chest below the camp giving you 100 rupees after you beat the camp. Also Beedle totally destroyed the Dark Skeletons smh.
7:29 I have a theory: after zelda went back in time she told all the ancient zonai about the new hyrule, which includes tarrey town, and so that’s why there’s an abandoned mine under there

Have you seen/talked about blupee burrow?? It's so cool! Right under satori mountain in the depths
Yeah, I always thought the fact that the Tarrey Town Mine was there. I had the exact same reasoning as you
The gate in the Upland Zorana road is a sluice gate, designed for holding back water. Seems likely that it was built there as a relief for the amount of water that flows through Zora's Domain.
Congrats. Every single location you told me I already knew and discovered almost 5 months ago. Really hoped to see cooler
My favorite location is the highest point in the game, it’s the flower above lookout landing, it’s so pretty, you can literally see PAST the map. I love to chill up there sometimes
Edit: I recommend going at sunset it’s 📸📸
i saw and wondered about that spot. how do you get up there?
@@gracefrances2110I’d recommend going from the top of the Room of Awakening island. Then fly close to where it is on the map and just go up. It’s close to the top of the skybox and is basically invisible until you get close.

If you stand near the Riogok shrine on the Great Plateau you can see it with the scope and put a pin on it
I’ve got to I don’t think you have talked about yet.
Is it the rist mine?
WHAT A KILLER INTRO SOUNDTRACK!😫
Hyrule Castle is a pretty unknown & neat location, its floating in Central Hyrule!
You are not funny.
Rist peninsula mine it can be found in the depths and it’s easy to miss
3:33 the only special thing about the dark skeletons is that the heads contain a treasure from old maps that you find. The first I found was the one in eldin and it made me think of Dodongo from OoT.
Unless the Golden apples make it permanent, any fruit works for the cherry trees
Zorana Byroad cave's configuration reminds of the Hyrule Castle's underground dungeon in Twilight Princess
A place I love the vibes of is the waterfall section just south of the rakakudaj Shrine.
6:40 interesting fact: I always believed it had to be a golden apple, but then I tried a normal apple and got the exact same result! Saw some video later that stated that any fruit will do, and if you happen to be out of one then you can use the endura carrot that always grows in the vicinity of these trees.
You can let the trees show you the locations of caves with regular apples too, you don't have to offer a golden one.
Hey, love the channel. Thanks
Ha. I like that
Directly north of the Rasinaduk Lightroot (-4152, -2086, -0496) in the gerudo desert underground, just south of the karusa valley above ground, are some holes filled with gloom. Now these do align with some of the pillars north of the linked shrine.
There are no tie-ins or so, just seemed interesting to me.
Lightcast Island, It is a medium island above the mountain where the Tabantha tower was in botw. A shrine is tied to it, but I think most people don't know about it
I stumbled across that. It has a rad light Puzzle
7:00 Tarrey Town may be new, but there was always a prayer spot there so it must have had importance centuries ago.
Birida lookout chasm is in the same place where gerudo tower was in botw. That finally answers the question of what’s down there.
No one’s going to miss it. It’s a big hole on the map.
If you go to the East Akkala Stable Well and break the rock wall inside, there’s an area where you can go into with 2 fairies and a goddess statue
In the Ruined sage temple, there is a stone monument in the cave under the ruins that mention a sword and the Thyphlo ruins.
Yes, that is supposed to lead you to the Thyphlo Ruins quest. (which can only be done with all the sages)
Doesn't need to be a golden apple or even a apple
Upland Zorana Bypass was LITERALLY the last cave I found in the game. I don't know how I kept missing it
The cave with the gate has a piece of miskos treasure, i can't remember what but i think it was climbing gear.
LOL
Wintre Island is in the middle of lanayru bay and you get a great view of Horon Lagoon and potentially Naydra
Gerudo Desert
Ancient Altar Ruins
-2580 -3718 0001
In one of the sand pits.
6:28 Just a tip: you don’t need to give a golden apple. You can use any piece of fruit.
I think he put that already
@@IdkWhatImGonnaPutTbhOk, maybe I missed that one. I know he's done another lake near Satori Mountain. The one full of animals. But that's a different one.
Whoops you're right. I missed an episode, my bad!
6:36 no, any fruit will do, don’t waste your golden apple. (I tend to leave the fruit at the altar, I know it’s kinda dumb)
You should check out the sky island above lookout landing, it is there if you go up high enough
there is a cool hidden chest under where vah ruta was. you have to go down a hole that goes below the water on a zonai structure that fell from the sky and use ascend to reach the chest
Edit: it's where vah ruta stood once it took aim at hyrule castle
what are you chatting about? the ancient zora waterworks? if so then that isn’t missable at all, the sidon quest requires you to go there
@paulrance5445 no. It's where vah Ruta stood once it took aim at hyrule castle

o
thank u, those are great
Pretty sure that, in the context of the Dragons "immortal" means they don't die of old age, not that they are fully deathless. Also, pretty sure they're the "dark" skeletons because they reside in the darkness of the depths.
Theres a tiny cave behind a hotspring in the hebra region. And whenn you follow it and go throu some hidden pasages you can find an ice cave with a lot of different mushrooms
I remember that spot. I thought "man I gotta come back here" but I never did lol
Another location is Tenoko Island. (Idk if I spelled it right)
It is tied to a side quest, but on the small island you can find lots of Lurilein Village style boats. Makes me wonder how they got there. (Oh! And you can use these boats for building too.)
I’ve definitely gota to more in the depths
you know the monument that hold stone tablets in the sky that look like a star on the mini map? well the one above lookout landing is very high up and it has a amazing view of hyrule
East biron snowshelf cave -3555 3088 0274 its like a tunnel that was meant for shield surfing
Keep up the good work
Immortal may only mean that they are unable to age, or get diseases things like that. Not necessarily that they can’t die
the dragon skeletons in the depths arent dragons. they are much bigger than farosh, dinraal, naydra, and the light dragon. it just says 'dark skeleton', and look extremely similar to the leviathan bones. it still raises a bunch of questions of how the leviathan bones got on 2 layers of the earth, but arent dragons
“They are much bigger”
Umm, so is the Demon Dragon and he’s still a dragon, just he’s friggin like 5x the size of the others
@@catalyst539 but its still not compared to the leviathan bones
I HAVE LOCATION PEOPLE MIGHT OF MISSED RIGHT UNDER ARBITTERS GROUNDS IN THE DEPTHS OF GERUDO DESERT IT IS CALL THE GERUDO SEMETERI .(SORRY I can't spell)
I like how the chasm He mentioned he didn't mention that was the hole of the tower from botw that kept going
You got me with the whole "secret dungeon" thing in the title. 😶
The Dark Skeletons each have a piece of the armor of the wilds set.
Btw the abandoned terry mine tunnel covered with gloom THERES A SECOND ENTRANCE ABOVE IT ALSO A LITTLE LIP ON THE CLIFF U CAN WALK ALL THE WAY THERE 😊
4:00 my theory is the next zelda wil cover the story of the hero aspect and we'll kill these 3 dragons in the depth back when it was full of life
7:29 I have a theory: after zelda went back in time she told all the ancient zonai about the new hyrule, which includes tarrey town, and so that’s why there’s an abandoned mine under there
If you are having trouble finding caves, try offering some fruit to a cherry tree. Doing so will reveal ALL cave entrances nearby for a decent amount of time.
definitely not all. Most actually important caves, or quest related caves will not appear to my knowledge
@@TheBlueElephant111 uhhh, no. ALL nearby cave entrances are revealed. The beams can be hard to see depending on terrain though.
@@doge229 Are you sure? I noticed that was corrected on the wiki
@@TheBlueElephant111 not sure what you're referencing, but most of my info comes from dataminers and a LOT of time gathering info by myself and from others on the discord. I'm 99.99% sure that the trees work how I stated.
@@doge229 fair enough. I activated the cherry tree in hebra and tried to use it to find the cave for the white birds guidance quest, but ended up walking in circles around the mountain for like half an hour until I found it. also regarding the wiki, I noticed how some pages say the cherry trees reveal some caves while others say all and I figured one was a mistake. I trust you tho I'm not some kind of sweat lmao
Skyward Sword explained that although dragons have eternal life normally, they can die of a disease or an illness.
