At firsl when I saw Cotten was in this I was going to pass right by.... but he wasn't acting like a complete buffoon in this show, which was refreshing. Great episode, you can never go wrong with Foxbody content

I commented that it 60 footed like it had hwy gears in it but after reading your comment and realising it only stalled to 3200 its so slow out of the hole because of both I think. Even with a miserable 3200 stall it should get moving faster than even a heavily modified N/A 302 with the N/A LS and especially once they stuck basically any supercharger on it. Maybe with 4:00 plus gears and a turbo 400 instead of a glide the 3200 stall converter would be a decent option for a street/strip car but a car with that cage and other race car mods isn't really a “street” car in my mind. In saying that I know that “street/strip” isn't truly definable in the “world of boost” anyway. It was kinda of interesting watching them do a “budget build” in that faster-paced format but it lost all its cool factor when they didn't make sure it could get off the line (it served no purpose ordering such a nice Powerglide without a higher stall converter) and left out the supercharger install and information about the supercharger details (brand, size, or even configuration although one could easily figure out it wasn't a roots style after hearing the plans for the intake and throttle body. So its almost a cool show and could easily be fixed.
You are not beating Lyle Barnett with your combo. Ever. Ditch that supercharger and build a solid 427 with twins and with a lot of testing you may be close.
That thing looked like it still has hwy gears in it. I'd think even naturally aspirated it would 60 foot better than that looked on video at least. Maybe I'm accustomed to seeing manual notchbacks so often I'm wrong on that. Idk

@the318pop no its not... I have a 2019 5.0 that is all stock naturally aspirated full interior with 19 inch DOT tires that runs 10.50s@133mph in the 1/4 and 6.60 @106 in the 8th ... you will never see a chevy engine do that
@@bigsausagepizzamedia4491 silly to suggest brand makes any difference really. Jam a late lt into something light enough and it will go fast. But that's not the point. 10.50s doesn't keep up with a proper boosted build.
I would really be interested in watching more of theses if you are going to keep trying to get closer to Lyle!

Put a coyote with boost l have seen run in the sevens in a new model mustang which is 3800 to 4000 pounds your car is probably 26 to 2800 pounds
