I LOVE watching Beth work! It reminds me of when I tried my hand at pottery back in high school by hand-sculpting the head of my favourite animal, a fox (which is still my favourite animal because they're graceful, but are known to be tricksters in mythology). Plus, it was the only survivor in a kiln explosion!
EVERYTHING you do is ALWAYS INTERESTING! ...lol, skip the "naughty bits" pushing down the phallic protrusion! It is so nice that you get to experience all these different things! (It is so nice you share the experiences with the rest of us!) ...I think that's your TRUE job in life. (Please accept gratitude!) TY! The world is better because you exist!
Really cool, as always, Beth. I've seen my wife, my mum and my sister having pottery classes and have always thought "I've got to try this some day". But fir some reason I never have. Personally I like the little "flaws" and imperfections in the pieces. It's "what makes them them" as Ysk de Reade said in a comment below and as a famous vocal coach would say! 🤪
Yeah i agree. It is definitely a work of art!!:):):) But i did miss the music from the rightous brothers "unchained melody" (movie ghost) under the vid!:):):) Great respect to all those people who are still making these lovely handmade products. Potters, Smiths, Painters, Furnituremakers, Upholsters, etc, etc. To make something that is of high quality with your own hands is something to be proud of and something to envy!! Ok and now on to bonjour madame et monsiour. Mon nom est Beth et je vais t'etonner!!:):) (of course i looked this up, My french sucks)
So "Little Roar" is your own personal artwork and creation it would seem!!! How cool is that! I'll be searching the background of your videos now in hopes of catching a glimpse of a potted plant or perhaps a snack in progress... That would be a fun "Easter egg" to find!! I've been starting to brainstorm on ideas of crafts, or hobbies, or activities to suggest to you like we do with music reactions. Right now I'm thinking you make a blanket or rug or something on a weavers loom. That, or you take a ride in an acrobatic airplane (or jet if you prefer)!! 😄
I have only gotten to throw pots once, but I absolutely adored it and would love to get to do it again. Thank you for showing us your adventures! Love from Ohio 💜
This really brought back memories. I used to do this with my grandmother when I was a little boy. I wasn't very good but we sure had a lot of fun. You did a great job.
You did a beautiful job with pottery Beth, good control of the wheel. Just the right color for St. Patrick day this Thursday. I enjoy watching you learn new skills. Thank you.
Great job, always fun doing something new. Can’t wait for another adventure lol. Keep that beautiful smile showing, it really brightens my day. Bob in Pennsylvania
Love it, Beth!! Even if they're a bit scrappy, it's amazing how good they look after the kiln. And I loved seeing your struggles on the wheel...LOL. You improved so much in that little time--a few more days and you'd probably be very decent! Anyway, lots of love and can't wait to see what's next!
Very nice and inspiring video. Thanks to you Beth, I now have a new entry to my already quite long list of "things to try" :-) I experienced clay modeling (mostly for character design), back when I was a student in art. Really enjoyed it, it's very relaxing.
First off I hope you're better now ? Good job here (I did some in my infancy & it wasn't easy either, I did later on some stainess-glass like painting on objects, fun to do too). It is not easy indeed & the final result shows the efforts were worth spending some time there (& imho pottery especially feel more genuine with imperfections, irregularities, and a "let go"" feeling especially in the decorative phase....Cheers !
Completely missing the point of the video but I love that highland cow picture you've got! We've got a very similar painting of one in our living room that my grandma did for us. Very cute animals!
I thought I saw you in Perth a while back Bethany. I saw you walking over Smeaton Bridge. I was in my car. Lol. You were smiling to yourself. 🥰 I didn't want to startle you by pressing my horn to say hi though.
That's a real art but I think you will master it Beth. Just think Patrick Swayze is behind you lol. Love all your vids especially when you break down the voice techniques of some of the greatest singers.👍😁
The ways of the mud pie ??? I’m so envious of you . I wish I could overcome my agoraphobia to do things the excite and challenge me but watching someone I admire do it is almost as good 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Hey more metal women lol 😝 I left a great LOVEBITES in discord ….. hint hint Luv ya gurl
In no way I am judging the studio owner - her studio, her choice. But if I were a potter and somebody asked me to make a toilet brush holder, I would say yes in an instant because it would be very amusing. I'd brag about it too for years after.
Well done Beth. Clay/pottery etc seems to appeal to a certain sort of personality. Others can't take to it at all (me for example), despite years of effort.
Hi Beth I really liked your video I always do I am asking you to react to a music video it’s the group steelheart and the song never let you go besides awesome song awesome eye candy I’m pretty sure he still holds the title for highest male voice in his style of music I could be wrong this song is from my time late 80s early90s anyway I promise you will like it
Sorry the reason I put it on here the music request is I am really poor and really tech challenged I only go on RUclips on my tv just learned how to go to my phone do I can comment so other platforms I can’t do and your last reactions didn’t have this sound soo ok I thought this might be the way for you to see it hope I didn’t upset you thank you
I wonder if you would find the time, as a fellow Scot and all, to react to this very rare and unique version, from the original Dexy's Midnight Runners, the soul band that was. Searching For The Young Soul Rebels was an album, almost expunged from that era, due to Kevin Rowland being the son of an Irish family living in the UK during the troubles. He has a unique voice, he once said he didn't want to copy any other voices, and decided he wanted to sing almost as if he was crying. ruclips.net/video/H5tDsR52Yjk/видео.html Dexy's Midnight Runners - I couldn't help if I tried
You need to have the right person sitting behind you, arms reaching around so that his hands cover yours and guide them to the wonderful sounds of Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody so that you can learn how to shape the clay properly.

I love it! You did so well and I had a lot of fun teaching the Ways of the Mud Pie. 😄
Me too...
You make it look so easy!
Literally clicked this just to listen to Beth talk. The accents get me every time lol
They both look great for your first attempt at pottery and I like the asymmetry of the bowl. It gives it a lot of charm.
Aye, asymmetry makes them them. They are unique and beautiful. Good job.
@@yskdereade123 👌 Right on with the "makes them them"!
It's always great to have a Hobbie .I haven't felt like doing any of my Hobbies since my wonderful Wife passed away 4 years ago yesterday .
My favourite vocal couch doing pottery, just beautiful!!!!!
Waaaaaaay back in the 80s when I was studying art, I leaned to throw.
Very cathartic and calming.
I hope you keep with it Beth!
Beth, you make me smile and that's the best part of what you're doing. Thanks so much.
You are so welcome
Yep. Beth = Joy & smiles every time.

Love how you started your video with Beethoven's 2nd movement of his 9th Symphony. Nice touch.

Unfortunately it posed too many issues with the copyright! Had to to stick to the copyright free pieces :) Oui, je hâte de vous montrer les videos!
Hi Beth you always make us smile, all this needed was unchained melody playing behind you
Lovely. Gives me ideas for retirement for my wife and I. We could join a class to just learn and have something fun today. Thank you.
Sounds great!

Hey Beth, you did really well, the mud pies can be very contrary when you first start trying to make them do what you want them to 😃😁😂
I have only gotten to throw pots once, but I absolutely adored it and would love to get to do it again. Thank you for showing us your adventures! Love from Ohio 💜

That is lovely. Thanks for watching. :)
I tried this when was at high school and it was really hard !!
Respect to you hen !!! xx
This is hilarious and adorable. Glad I randomly found this ☺️ I always wanted to try pottery, it’s nice to see someone try it for the first time.

Nice!
Looks great, Beth! I could buy! Especially knowing the artist who did the work!😊
Ah the potter's wheel, very "ghost" like technique. Have a huge ROOOOAAAAR from me for effort & fun involved in your potting adventure 👍😁🤗🤗

Hermoso trabajo Beth !!

But if I were a potter and somebody asked me to make a toilet brush holder, I would say yes in an instant because it would be very amusing. I'd brag about it too for years after.
The potter seems to be a little bit stuck up, which is a shame as it could put a lot of new people off.
@@TheHorrorificPodcast She's not stuck up, believe me.
Beth's feelings "I'd have done better if Patrick Swayze was sitting behind me, helping me."
I could listen to the accents all day. I was disappointed that Unchained Melody didn't play nor the ghost of Patrick Swayze come to help.
As a full time potter I can say that, if u practice for an other 4-5 years, you can be quite good. ;)
Roar
So when are you going on Throwdown? 😁
Hey Beth. watch the movie Ghost. Great pottery scene in it. Great video
Yes, I thought she’d have “Unchained Melody” playing as background music in this one.
Love it
Reminded me of the scene from the movie "Ghost" (y'all know what scene I'm talking about 😜).
Que guay

Isso podia ter dado errado kkkk 😂😅🤣
And Beth becomes a potter. Just without the scar on her head
🤩😘
How cool are you?! I would pay real money for your art.
Come to Sri Lanka
You need to have the right person sitting behind you, arms reaching around so that his hands cover yours and guide them to the wonderful sounds of Bobby Hatfield singing Unchained Melody so that you can learn how to shape the clay properly.
Haha , kinda funny
I wish I was Patrick Swayze from Ghost right there. 😉
can I order a custom made Mug? autographed !!
There's a great idea!
I'm not sure that is quite in my skillset yet! Haha
It’s not very easy, I had a pottery class in high school and I still wasn’t very good at it.
It's not very easy is it? But you made it through.
So there is some violence involved in pottery - kind blows the erotica of it.
🏃 Pᵣₒmₒˢᵐ
This isn't easy for beginners.
