I'm a little surprised they didn't make a crack about Sylvia somewhere in there. Probably for the best though, Malistaire might have some issues with that, and rule #1 for working with someone who is or was an evil over-lord is never piss them off, they will most likely kill you.
Oh... And guys Malistaire won't be returning... This has been confirmed by Malistaire himself (in the game) and Artorious (Lead W101 Writer). If anything there's a 1% chance (in my opinion) we might see him as an NPC...
Which begs the question- Where's Morganthe?? Shouldn't s I als don't think Malistaire is like Morganthe. Malistaire was characterized as a villain just because what he was doing put the Spiral at risk. His motive was his love for Sylvia, but his refusal to let go resulted in him having to die by our hands (which brings up a few issues story-wise to the combat system in Wizard101). On the other hand, Morganthe's problem could've been solved easily without having her fall INTO SPACE. She felt like the pace that her teachers were going with her was too slow, resulting in her trying to advance on her own, completely unbeknownst or ignorant of the risks, which caused her to lose her deck and wand at expulsion, shattering her and her morals. She tried to get ahold of any magic she could because of that, and she was going through dangerous measures as well, causing the Players to intervene. There, I identified the cause of Morganthe's and Malistaire's villanization, and found a solution to Morganthe's problem. #Nonviolent (mostly)
now maybe if malistaire came back as a shadow/death professor or so in nightside would brighten the game a bit some people think mal is better than dworgyn
