Enjoyed that, very informative. Thank you 👍
I still don’t know your name because you slur it at the beginning of all your videos, but I keep coming back because I dig how complete your data sets are…. Helps me a boatload. 🤙🏻

Sorry its Jay Smith 🙂 I get so used to saying the same thing, it rolls off the tongue probably a bit too fast. Glad you like the content though 👍
Enjoying the new reviews. Ive been doing some off season reading into driving irons and higher lofted woods like a 7w to help that part of my bag. Im one of those goes left hybrid guys. Saw some suggestions for the UW so im excited for this review.
Definitely doesn't have a problem going left for me so it absolutely has a more neutral CG and the lie angles are sensible 👍🏻
@@AskGolfNut loving the performance off the toe as a slight OTT cut player. If you were going to play a club almost exclusively off the tee, would you prefer a driving iron or the UW after your last 2 reviews?
@adambarnes4191 Absolutely the UW for the versatility of the club, wind into or down wind I can easily alter the flight, drawing the UT is more difficult for me, so the UW has the most options 👍🏻
I have a 19 and 21 degree of the original and they are great clubs. I never got along with the taller face of a hybrid and the shaft length of a fairway wood led to larger misses left and right. The shaft length is perfect and the launch is very strong and penetrating
I love the Apex UW - both the last generation and this new one (which in my observation so far spins a touch more). The ball speed is crazy, so as a lefty, it caused me some gapping issues - the 19 degree was too close to 3W and the 21 degree is only available for righties. That’s why I ended up taking the previous generation UW out of the bag.
This time, the solution I found is that if you call and ask, Callaway can bend this head a degree weak. With my 3W at 14 degrees and Apex UW at 20 degrees, the gapping is better with my limited testing so far.
They can also bend it a degree flat or a degree upright.
I think most club builders can build your wood a degree weak or flatten/raise the lie
which is more forgiving the UW or the UT. ? ....thx for your review....cheers from Canada
UW for sure, the UT is very good at what it does but isn't the most forgiving iron in the world that's for sure 👍🏻
@@AskGolfNut awesome thx
I was really looking at this club but can't find one to demo.... I would also like to see your review of the Cobra King TEC Hybrid - interesting with the 3 adjustable weights.
Great video Jay, I have last years model in 17 degree bent to 16, I use it on short and tight par 4`s, , 275 carry 295 total, It's amazing how easy it is to launch it , and with low spin !!, keep the good content coming Jay !!
You should compare to a Titleist 818 h1 very similar but Titleist is cheaper and adjustable
It’s not a good comparison, uw is more a much more penetrating ball flight. I can’t remember who did a review on it, but they were getting 20-25 yards more out of the uw vs another bigger hybrid. In my experience, I think of it more along the lines of a lower launching 3 wood/5 wood depending on what loft your hitting.
How it compares with a 7 wood (Rogue)? Lower ball flight?
I would say yes, the Rogue fairway 7 Wood is a bigger head, lower CG and longer shaft 👍🏻
did they copy the wilson launchpad2 fybrid?
So we can dial in the loft and the lie angle
Callaway may be able to bend by a degree or so but unfortunately with the fixed neck, what you see is what you get 👍
Seems like this is higher spinning and launching than the original uw. The original has been a godsend for me, it removed my 3 wood and my 2/3 irons out of my bag. I can hit it low to mid window on command, and it’s always a very piercing flight.
This is the 21 degree, it would be fun to see how far the 17 degree goes 😊👍🏻
I put a ventus black 7x in it, it’s very easy to keep under the wind. I’ve never tested ball speeds or anything like that but I get it out the 260 yards regularly, and playing in the wind it’s my go to, I leave the driver at home on those days
I know it’s off topic but could you do a head to head with 2024 apex pro irons vs Cobra king tour? I know the apex is hollow but I think it would be a good comparison video.
I'll definitely place it on the list to do 👍🏻
I really appreciate it.
Great video as usual Jay! Could be in the bag #callaway
Works so well, especially after doing it straight after the YT Driving Iron 😊
@@AskGolfNut I think this or an Paradym fairway wood probably. Or I might wait for the new stuff in February. Might be in the market for different fairway woods; at the moment 5wd en 7wd from Cobra (Speedzone). My fitter does have Mizuno, Titleist, Cobra and Taylormade
Is this you deliberately hitting off-centre shots in this way, or did you just hit a gazillion shots and looking at the miss hits when your humanity kicked in? 🤔
I normally do a large dataset of hitting normal shots and then intersperse them with purpose miss hits so not to affect the larger dataset. Takes a long time to learn how to purposely miss hit a club as its totally counterintuitive 👍🏻
@@AskGolfNut Oh, I dunno, I can miss hit 99 out of 100 no problems..👍
And every single one of them will be unique...
