They definitely took a step backwards in term of design/aesthetics.

Yes this one look like it came from a beginners box-set.

Be interesting to compare it to the new superhybrid. I currently game the 3 superhyrid 2021 and an apex 5 hybrid. Both with custom length shafts (but different shafts in each) that ate both superb. Another factor for golfers to consider is how you like the club to look and sit for your swing. In my case i went the route i did even over the paradyms because the sit more upright and suit me better that a fairway type shape and lie.

Could you test the new Callaway Paradym Super Hybrid and the Paradym Star Hybrid? It’s the product line of Callaway Hybrids are now very confusing for me.😂

This is a very special club. If it works is money, but is not for everyone. Please compare it with previous version

Great review, fellas. I'm very happy this is out, because hopefully the prior gen used prices will drop! I took 3-wood and 5-wood out of the bag a while back and got a 4-wood (17º) and a 7-wood (21º) and it's been a great fit for me. But I'd still love to try one of these out for a few rounds.

I read that the newer (2024) version is a little more forgiving

Great video and I hope to test this new model soon, I had the original version in 17 degrees but it was low launching and super low spinning so it was tough to get it to launch high enough to get sufficient carry, when I got it measured it had a static loft of only 15.1 degrees so that explains why it launched so low.

What would y’all bag with the 19 degree to fill in the gap between my 5 iron and 19 UW?

I have the prior year model and love it. Honestly, is it a definitive upgrade or not necessary?

Data proves that the harder he try to hit the more spin it produces to avoid any hot shot! This is great club

How’s it compare to the previous model in terms of forgiveness and ease of use

I picked up a prior version UW 17 degree with the hope of using it as a 3 wood and play between driver and a g410 17 hybrid. Maybe I need to test it more but I feel like I hit my hybrid just as long as the UW and can use it better out of deep rough. Hit low punchy shots etc. I'm interested to see the new super hybrid. I almost got a used one based on how many people loved the original and now I'm hoping the new super hybrid would either replaced the Og UW or replace my g410 17 hybrid.

How do you find the UW compare to the g410 2 hybrid? Distance, forgiveness, dispersion?

    • @dubbs1923
      @dubbs1923 10 месяцев назад +1

Like I said in my original comment. G410 can be as long or a bit shorter (10-15 yds) in carry distance than UW 17 but G410 is a lot more forgiving. It's the one club I can confidentially grab when I'm not hitting driver well, when hitting in tight fairway of the tee or even in those long par 4, approach shot on long par 5 trying to reach green in 2. I will need to test a bit more with the UW or most likely will replace with something like a the paradyme super epic hybrid.

Update: I have put some time learning to hit more down on the UW and it’s now my go to club off the tee in most holes instead of my driver when I need to keep it in the fairway. When well struck, i get about the same distance or 10 yds shorter than those using driver. It’s such a fun club to hit off the tee and I think anyone who prefers a smaller head than a traditional 3 wood or even driver would do well with this club. It just takes some time to get used to but once you learn to hit it, you will love this club.

I’m glad I have the older one. It’s slightly open at address. This one is square. The older ones are starting to disappear! They keep turning up in tour bags. If everyone knew how good these weee. They’d sell out!

Especially since 2nd Swing has access to and sells older models, these videos really should have the older model along side for side by side and shot to shot comparisons

They do those videos as well, usually if a product is new they do a solo video of that said product first.

They mention in the video they are using the Full Swing Launch Monitor app. They used to use Trackman. Don't know what happened to it.
