Where can I watch the x men'97 all episodes, I'm interested pls.
God, they did Cyclops so right in these two episodes. This has been the best interpretation of Cyclops in other forms of media outside of the comic books.
Its 90s Cyclops which is the best incarnation of the character. I hope the writing team continues to keep that in mind.

They just copied the MCU formula and made an arrogant overconfident white guy. It’s the same thing they have been doing since the Iron Man formula worked. Nothing special about that.
I really hope the whole deal with the "Jeans" won't undermine him badly and still show him as the ultimate badass with memorable moments for the rest of the season.

Props too go to Scott using his optic blasts to soften his landing, even with managing to freefall while Storm, Morph, and Rogue got anyone who couldn't fly.

It was actually pretty darn dumb that he's softened the landing this way - if his laser beam would've worked like this, he would push his eyes to the back of his head, or at least slide each time he uses it horizontally on the ground, lol.

@dillbert4084 I remember in the comics. When Dark Beast from Age of Apocalypse came to the main universe, pretending to be Beast. Even Dark Beast was saying how much work and roles the team made Beast performed for the group.
🤣 Apocalypse was a better manager he at least gave Beast some days off during the week.

No one gonna talk about how even his character personality was done right also. He made sure that everyone else was secured before worrying about himself. Scott has always been a leader much to his humble beginnings. Love that he is still portrayed as he always was back then.
That was a great small detail, also the fact that everyone else knew he had no problem.
You could even read one step further into it. As a child, Scott lost his family in a plane crash (at least as far as he knew for many years) and suffered a wound that made his mutant powers go out of control. Now, his smile as the plane comes apart is so powerful - he’s utterly in control, and trusts himself and the team to keep his new family safe. Great stuff!

When Storm gave Rogue that look, you know they have that sequence locked in their minds. The team already know how to act if the bird gets taken down and they probably trained in the danger room.
The details of this show are making a big difference. The writers know, of course they would have trained for a scenario like this.

Even though the original voice actor for “Cyclops” Norm Spencer passed away I gotta admit, Ray Chase is slaying his role. He sounds very similar to Norm and his expressions are on point.

I love the little detail of Storm nodding to Rogue. A non verbal "remeber what we practiced". If you missed it details like this make rewatching the episodes that much better.

A round-house to the face followed up with a short-ranged wide optic blast, somer-sault into a long ranged focused blast... with how nimble he is portrayed i cannot wait for him to be on the big screen. Well, as a kid, he did fall from an airplane and a faulty parachute and bonked his head really badly. Hence he can't control his optic blasts and needs the glasses and visor. Now he's evolved from that trauma in the coolest way possible.
If you listen very carefully you can hear kids of the 90s crying tears of Joy
Dude, I was in my early/mid twenties when that came out and I STILL thought it was dope. Yeah, it was a little bit TOO geared towqrds a younger audience for my taste at times - but that's what I'm diggin' so much about this revival: the show's story-telling style has matured along with its original fan's tastes.
The detail that Rogue and Storm knew Cyclops didn't need to be rescued
Wolverine didn’t need it either, forge could have just let him fall down to the ground, after the X-men gather around cyclops we would see wolverine crawl out of his crater and walk over to them for the group shot. That would have been badass.

That was a great little callback. In case anyone didn't watch the Dark Phoenix saga (part 3) of the original show, Rogue said the same thing when she kept catching her teammates after they literally kept getting tossed around by the Dark Phoenix.

He can control the amount of pressure coming out of his optic blast, enough not to punch a hole on the ground.
This is one of the dopest things Cyclops has ever done.
One of them, see the fight against the FOH, him sliding through the floor using the Optic Blast to avoid hits, and counter is so freaking cool.

Funny thing is that Logan didn't need saving, so Morph turning into Archangel was more to have Logan avoid pain and the time for him to heal. Would had been funny though, all of the X-Men land and pose, and Wolverine crashes at the end, then he raises his hand and says "I'm alright bub, you all go on ahead, I'll be right behind ya."

@@jonjones3841 Hugh Jackman's Wolverine was way better than Marsden's Cyclops and Berry's Storm though. Would you have even wanted to see either of their solo movies?
Patrick Stewart, Ian McCallum and Hugh Jackman were in a league of their own compared to the rest of the cast imo. From a production standpoint if you have something that works that well, you run with it.
That's why Robert Downy Jr.'s Iron Man was sort of the center-piece of the Avengers even though in the comics it's always either Captain America or Captain Marvel. His version of Iron Man was just too good to side-line.

People are justifiably impressed with Cyclops new showcased fighting moves, but you haven't seen Wolverine get dirty yet. He's a hundred year old immortal Irish samurai and ninja that did time as a CIA super soldier with even more fight training than Cyclops. He wields 6 unbreakable swords, and any of his wounds heal in moments. He engages a "berserker" mode if he's badly outnumbered. It's going to be bananas.

Because they just had to make a franchise about a TEAM be about the bad boy side character that fought hulk once,instead of either focusing on the team dynamic or at least have the MC be cyclops,as he is the leader.
Because it was all about Wolverine. To Singer's credit he promised Marsden that after X2 the next film was going to solely be his story. Fox being petty didn't want to wait for Singer to return and shafted Cyclops even more in retaliation.

I loved this scene! I loved watching X-Men growing up - the animation show, along with Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk and Iron Man introduced me to Marvel and superheroes as a whole! Watching this scene was cool and Cyclops truly is showing an example of the leader he's always been written as in the comics. The moment he says "To me, my X-Men". Loved that moment!
