I'm actually glad Markiplier returned to his scary games that he played a lot in the past. Felix has lost his mind and Jack cant make up his mind, but Mark likes to scare and horrify his, and we love him for it.

I don't agree. Felix has always had a crazy sense of humor, he was just too shy to express it before. Jack just really loves games and wants to play a wide variety on his channel. There's nothing wrong with that. However, I am happy that Mark is getting back to his roots and playing a lot of horror games while he's away. I think it's really fun and I especially love the videos he made with his mom they were really cute and funny and I'm glad they're willing to share part of their life with us.

I don't mind if Markiplier posts other stuff but as long as he posts horror games here and there, I'm always in. It sounds kind of harsh in a way but at the end of the day it's why I enjoy watching his content. I hope he continues to enjoy the horror content though.
This is why I give props to people who play horror games. It's one thing to play a game with a monster stalking you, but it's a totally different thing to have to solve puzzles while a monster is stalking you.

i learned morse in the early 2000's when in school one of our phone's got a text message and the teacher went did u know thats morse and we had a few lessons on it how it was used by the military and how we could use it to send sneaky private texts to eachother and what not :D

After practiing for about 30 minutes I was able to memorize all the letters in morse code. First look up and memorize the chart and then practice writing down the alphabet in morse code over and over.

Okay, what I've worked out about the game is that it's probably about a shattered family. The whole thing about players needing to rely on other plays to actually complete the game, then there being a lot about mirror and how reflections aren't all that they seem plus the fact that they can be shattered. Also in reference to the shattered family is the tapes. They go through the affections of a child to a father. First off Daddy, then Dad, then Father and finally f*cker. It's showing how one's relationship with someone changes and what you think of them name wise changes with it, reflecting that loss of affection for them. It's a truly amazing and in lots of ways deep game that is not only a great horror game but also requires lateral thinking.

Aside from that, I loved the video! Always looked forward to an episode of Mirror Layers. I agree with Mark: The concept is clever and interesting! Especially one for a horror game.

It seems that a RUclipsr, the bigger they are the more of a different variety of audience they will get, and there will be some vocal ones that will make unnecessary comments. Like stating the obvious, or falling for a scam trap. Now they're going to look like dumbasses on the internet and probably the real world because they're going to express their nonstop absolute hatred for Mark because they think he brought them to get a virus. And a lot have fell for it, despite every video for the past year have some kind of scam comment and all of them have a warning on it. But people still fall for it . . .

Maybe the monster in the game represented the father, and it was on the other side of the mirror, another side of the father. The person hanging to which you gave body parts was the mother, and you were trying to help her, piece by peice.

I don't think it's overthinking. I often tend to think of the aesthetic of horror games (not always but often) as representing abuse. So if the father is a bastard, maybe abusive? And at one point the woman hanging had blood in her genital area (I noticed this and winced)... Maybe sexual abuse

There's a scammer in the comment section that's pretending to be Markiplier. You can identify it easily because the real mark would have a check mark next to the name, but if you're not sure you can place your mouse over the name and you'll see that it has no subscribers or videos. Don't click the link in the comment. And i'm writing this because i've seen comments like that in the past (in Mark's channel), but this time i saw at least six in a row, in this video.

I am horrified of the dark, I feel anxious when surrounded by silence and the idea of being in a closed enviroment freaks me out! like the end of a map in any games. I think that the monster in the game was the fathers son(you), well your past self. I looked into the files and found that they all had what looked like random numbers it them. I remembered that when I was on the in game computer that I'd you typed a letter you got a different letter, symbol, or number out of it. I started to apply that to the files and got this out of the tapes and keys: "Please, let me live near your world I only want to touch your warm body because mine is cold and shattered"
Mark showed us part that was already decoded in the frasi file that was attached to the keys. That made me think that the monster was your past self. What made me think that more was what I got out of the book files. It's not in perfect order but I managed to put it together so it made more sense. "A boy, his mother and his father found a little red box. The little red box would grant every wish But only the one you truly desire. Power, riches and fame the father wanted But didn't think about the true liar. They were happy when he'd rather Change everything amock. Happiness faded as the father Changed their lives with the box. Power he had, while the mother died and the son would despare in shock. The son got older and that made him stronger But not enough to finish off his father." That made me think even more that the monster was the son trying to get to his future self(you) to get away from the hell and torture of his past.
So then at the end that was the sons future self(you) getting rid of your past self/your past. But that's just my theory and it might not be true but I guess it's up to the player to find out what they think happened. I have to admit that this is definitely one of my favorite games.
This is a good theory and it makes a lot of sense. I believe it.

Maybe the player is in coma, and winning is the only way to escape? I wonder if there is any significance to the puzzles themselves. Like in one of the books, there was a clown. Maybe those books represented something such as fear. And the location on the map? Maybe that's where he is? I don't know, I feel like this game can be interpreted in other ways. It's interesting

this game is cool, the enemy is scary, the concept is cool, the level design is cool, the music is scary and fitting, the puzzles are creative, however the game terrifies my because we need to rely on other download files and converting the items to files us all great but it is extremely dangerous because who the hell knows what you've downloaded until you open it, and that comes with risks, so if a game dev can do this what's stopping a hacker fron sterling whatever the fuck with a game with the same concept
