  • As a follow up to part one of our HTV Showdown video, after washing the shirt twice in different real-life situations, Felicia checks all the heat transfer vinyl from her prior testing to see if there’s any problems with any of the HTV vinyl, and if she can determine which one is the best. #htv #htvront #cricut
    We compared five of the top HTV (heat transfer vinyl) brands including Cricut, HTVRont, Teckwrap, Michaels and Hobby Lobby to see which one has the best durability. Watch as Felicia cuts, weeds, and applies each of these HTV’s. Which brand do you think is best? We created a blog post for those who prefer to read here: www.freshandfe...

    Thanks so much for this. After watching both videos one thought to share. There was room for one more and while there are lots out there I would have loved if you had added Siser to the test as it is a popular brand. If you ever do another would you add that to the mix, please

      Thanks for sharing! And, yes, I think another test with Siser included would be great. Stay tuned...

    Teckwrap seems like the easiest to weed and faster times. Teckwrap is more expensive per square foot than the other HTV. HTVRont is the hardest to weed but the cheapest per square foot. My question is using Teckwrap HTV and pressing it for 25-30 seconds and see if it makes a difference, what do you think, just curious?

      I’d follow the directions on the package for each on time and temp but you can experiment with scrap material or old tshirts. I do that all the time

    Hi, Great video!
    Do you by chance have any updates after further washes?

    • @FamilyUnit
      @FamilyUnit  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes! We did not record these, but we have washed and dried the test shirt 10 times, and all the vinyl looks great! We kinda dropped the project after that - moved on to LASER CUTTERS! Have you seen those amazing machines?

      Bummer! Check your temperature, time and pressure. Maybe one or all are off. Hope it works better next time.

      I’ve used HTVRont on many shirts. Have washed many times and still hasn’t peeled

      Hmm I’m sorry that’s happened. I haven’t had any issues with HTVront just yet

      I use Htvront 95% of the time. Been washing these same shirts for a year now and they have never peeled. I press at 300 for 15 seconds. Then after I press my design down I go back and press for another 10 seconds. Try that and see if that helps. I'm not sure what my pressure is... (it's just a knob on my machine) just got started heat pressing a year ago. Randomly picked a vinyl and it worked out for me.😁
