This location was given to me by another great explorer - TJ Explores. I would like to respect the privacy of the location that I have been given. This pub has just stopped trading and literally shut their doors and left it open to the elements. The only residents here now are the spiders and mould. You won't believe your eyes when you see the perfect condition of this place. Join me and Charlea as we explore.

A village without a pub is a soulless no place and I wouldn't want to live in one,. Use it or lose it, remember landlords come and go pubs just go.
Horrible for the owners of these places that they're being invaded then internet knows they're empty...
Okay Karen, I bet that you're fun at parties! Nothing wrong with a little urbex explore....
This was my local , been closed for 6/7 years . was a very busy place .
Spent many happy night in this pub. Good friends of ours used to run the place in the mid 2000’s. Such a shame to see it in this condition now 😢. It started to decline when the adjacent RAF Lyneham started to wind down. Sad sight 😞😞
Epic find Wayne. I’m glad the place is still in a relatively good condition. It’s a shame really, I bet that pub was the busy hub of the local community. It’s sad sometimes how these rural pubs are gradually closing. Thanks both. RgY 👍💯
Yes, I think it;'s because it's very dated and probably would have cost too much to re-do. They are probably planning to build houses on there as it's quite a big plot of land.
Amazing. Stark contrast between the public bar area and the kitchen - I'll have a salmonella sandwich please with me pint please...
Lol, there was plenty of that about.
😂🤣
I work as a cleaner by trade - SOMEBODY is certainly maintaining at least the public area of the bar, perhaps to make people think it's still in use ?
My local, just down the street, was just sold, and the new owners wanted to update it to something more "modern". Most days, it's almost empty now.
Ok this one was a complete WOWSER, so much left sitting like they closed up one night and thought they would open again the next night. Beautiful, the lack of vandalism just really makes this place above and beyond.
Thank you to T.J. for being such a great part of the Exploring community.
Yes CF, This place was so intact it was too good to be true. Definitely yes thanks to TJ for the location.
Hi Wayne shame traditional pubs are closing down nice explore though virtually untouched should have pulled yourself a pint lol 😁👍
Yeh lol. I think I may have ended up with the trots after drinking that.
How lovely and its not destroyed it must have been a nice place for people to meet up what a shame left to the ghost good video
Nice to see a place in such good condition.Bizarre all that stuff let behind.Great explore.x
There's some old tools there, lot of collectors for them, amazingly they're still there!
A sign of the time’s with high business rates/rents/snaking ban, price of beer also due to high rents, people drinking at home, happening more and more.
Who is going to afford £4.00 plus for a pint of water??? The licencing trade needs to get real.
Three pints a night which were by no means uncommon for regular pubgoers amounts to £84/week.
How does that equate to someone with a family or on a pension?
This coupled with the smoking ban is a no-brainer.
That’s a nice place. There hard to find good pubs left abandoned now
Such an amazing place Wayne such a pristine condition
Thanks Sam, yes, it's unbelievably intact.
soooo cool.
Good to see charlea with you again mate. Great location
Thanks Arnoud. You would probably see a lot more of her but every time I take her I can't get in...she's jinxed...lol.
They should have had a bit of rumpy pumpy on that bed!
Nice video Wayne. Funny you found a smartie chocolate hen too 😂😂
Great vid, bizarre that its just left open to the elements. Looking so good in there i'd be nervous of going in!
Yeh, believe me Pete I was very nervous going in. I was expecting people to be sat there. It must have been shut at least a year.
Thank you, Wayne, for the explore!
Thank you fro watching.
Nice one Wayne
Thanks Phil.
shut down by the local health authority by the look of that kitchen
Amazing find mate
Nice to see a lot of stuff left
Brilliant video Wayne 👍
Thanks Finn.
Nice to see somewhere that isn't smashed up. All those unopened drinks cans and sweets too.
This looks as though it could still be occupied. It must not have been abandoned long. How did you get in? Surely, it's just not open to the elements or vandals would have destroyed it already. Best wishes.
No, I don't think it has been closed long but it was easily accessible.
Hi Wayne, a great location, lets hope idiots don't find out where it is with their 1 brain cell. xx
I hope not it's a respected area.
HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS ON THE KITCHEN DOOR....ENETER KITCHEN 😱😱😱😱😂😂😂 THANK YOU FOR SHARING
A kitchen nightmare...lol
My pleasure buddy
Thanks TJ.
to expensive thats why thousands of pubs have gone broke, crap expensive lager, awful expensive food
There will be a lot more pubs closed now with this corona virissuch a sad sight i used to enjoy a trip to the pub
Obviously all the cleaning and money went into keeping the front of house looking good, that cooker looked Filthy and maybe the reason it closed down! Sad to see the pub like that when it looks like patrons could just drop in again 😞 Nice find 😊
Yes, that kitchen was a sorry state, I can only imagine it looked like that when it was open.
Awesome video!!
Thank you mate.
Anybody tell why the owners leave every thing behind when they leave and why they don’t have an auction ????
Or even a yard sale😮😮😮😊
Id call that a snap top! 😂
A very nice place you can make it run again no problem and have a nice party you wont taste that the beer is a bit off after few lol
You're not wrong there Rolf.
I don't think it's been abandoned. They just need to send in a cleaning crew to sanitize everything. Then they can spruce everything up with some window cleaner, wood polish and some paint here and there. If this is the place I think it is, their website says : Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we are closed as a pub and for dine-in food. However, we are operating as a takeaway on Thursday’s - Sunday’s. With our ever-changing, delicious menu’s there’ll be something new and exciting every week! Make sure you follow our social media to keep up to date with our latest menu’s. Also, when you take the lid off of a tin of a poker game, put the lid back on as you found it. LOL WTH? Thanks for the trip to the old pub. People will go there again when it opens!
@yossarian - I know. However you missed the main point. Re-read it. I saw all of that on their recent website. It is what is on their website right now. Why is that information on their website right now? It means they are not abandoned. Why were they closed when those two were in there? Ask the village pub owners!
Pleased its trading again
@@Wise-Lady-La-Aura incorrect website.
This place has been closed since January 2018, was sold in 2020 and a planning application for 5 houses in the car park was refused in October 2021.
No news since.
@@hardcore2thecore definitely not trading again.
@@nsbmiller - Oh, wow. Thank you for the information. It looked like it was in business. The website I found made me think they were coming back as soon as possible. That's too bad that it was sold, but nothing is presently going on there. There is no business there yet. It looks like a great place for people to go to have a drink and a meal together. I hope someone can make a business of it and be successful there again. It sounds like someone wants to build some private houses there. When you find out , if they are building the houses or bringing the business back, please let us know. Thanks again. Blessings to you!
It’s just closed down, not abandoned, it’s someone’s property. Keep out.
Where is this would love to explore
Looked like a new housing development opposite..hopefully the pub will be saved ..unless a marston inn purchased the place ..then it will be bulldozed..sad state ..good find
Pub was purchased in 2020 and planning application put in for "Demolition of part of the existing public house and erection of five dwellings and associated works, including extensions to the existing public house".... permission was refused in October 2021. Can't see any further attempts.
nothing in the safe that's a shame you should not be in their routing it's private prop get out trespassing hope you get caught by the police hope that camera works trespassing or a german shepperd comes around the corner trespassers get out and stop routing around stuff get out trespassing people
🤣
Amazing explore! New sub! You can thank Darren (Stare) for that. 😊👍
Lol. Thank you.
Maybe they couldn't pay the TV license and they were shut down.
Your videos are always really fascinating!
But something keeps bugging me. Your voice sounds really familiar 🤔 You haven't lived in Newport at all have you?
No sorry.
@@collidingplanetsexploring6630 ah okay no worries 😂

if the pub is abandoned as such... the village must be as well? Sad.
Thriving Indian Restaurant next door.
Any calendars or paperwork visible to give a clue on how long it was shut down? No notices on the door of closure / landlord lockout / tax seizure ??
On Google Streetview it's still open in August 2016... closed by the next image in 2021, but we know that because this video is from 2019.
No sign of it re-opening. October 2022 Streetview looks very overgrown and uncared for :-(
WhatPub says it closed January 2018. Sold 2020. Planning application for development refused October 2021. Guess it's a case of "watch this space".
Could be closed because of The Virus! Take care.
So exactly how did you gain access to the pub?
The door was held shut with a piece of wood.
Next time check the dates on the drinks ffs :(
Lol will do.
Any in Surrey?
Dieting required.
Isn't that the one in Porth Kerry sorry for asking
This place most definitely belonged to someone at the time of filming.
