- Join me, CollidingPlanets as I talk look around Death row. It's an abandoned polluted street. Apparently it's the most polluted street in Wales. Residents had to give up their homes as it was affecting their health. #pollution #abandonedstreet #deathrow
I’ve driven past these houses plenty of times and wondered why they were all abandoned. . . . .now I know so thanks for that:) Looked like one hell of a tough work out for you, soooooo many stairs😩
Yes, they were a killer...3 flights of stairs. I was only too glad that there were only 3 houses open. cheers Darren.
First time I've seen a video with the person exploring shouting out "hello" just in case. That was more respectful than a lot of those i have seen from this road. My mum was one of those that had to move, she was happy to, though she forgot some curtains lol. I did see someone actually go into my former home which was very distressing for me, even though I hadn't actually lived there for over 25 years. It was like an invasion of privacy. I understand the curiosity of people though. It's still very sad going up and down that road and not seeing the houses. Nice respectful video, well done.
Great video mate.im surprised you got in so many of them.loved the last houses fireplace.take care going on your own
Thanks for watching
Probably weren't polluted at all - they had to be gone to make way for a new road!!
The weird thing is when I am watching this the houses have been knocked down ☹️ - Why they are polluted - They are polluted because the trees are tall so they are trapping in fuel which is bad to breathe in so nobody can live in them☹️😔
That first house is my old house. The xbox things on top of the door were mine!
Great video Wayne, I really need to get out and about, and this is my type of place.
Yes, I don't blame you. This lockdown is doing my head in. You should go and check it out.
The last house with the red brick conservatory was ours for 45 years,
the authorities got rid of the victims instead of the problem as usual.
Alan & Sandra.
Unbelievable, have people got nothing better to do than smash these places up? That road can get very very busy at times, lorries backed up, it is a bottleneck, so yea the pollution must have been bad. When I’ve driven past, the roads proximity to the properties is very close, I’d imagine a few of those places have been hit in the past. Nice you got to the end of the Terrace, I can’t blame your wife for not going down, it looked steep. Thanks Wayne for showing us this. 👍
Lol, yes Roger, stepping out of your door could be your last. Thanks for watching
About 20 years ago I was going to Bey one it was a beautiful house but we were told not to because all were coming down the back garden was lovely you could pay cash but not mortgage you had to be fit to live there lots of old people were still living there just over a year ago
Wow that's mad. Thanks for watching
I am not too far away from here and I saw Abanos video where he also went into a couple of houses. I went here about a month ago and I found the house he went in but it was secured,he went in around the front by the road so I had to be careful. There was a metal plate on the door,it was annoying as I could see in but could not get access in.I was going to come back for a better look but your video has shown everything I wanted to see.I don't think I would go in the houses now as there does seem to be a lot of black mould and dodgy floors .It is amazing how quickly a house can fall into disrepair after such a short time,I think people were still in those houses this time last year. Thanks for uploading.
I was surprisedly the mould as well. As soon as the heat goes out of these houses the damp comes out. Thanks for watching
Very nice fireplace, squatters were scared away because of the bloody noise i guess, think it was a planning error aswel. Very nice explore Wayne.
Yes, you are probably right Rolf. Thanks for watching
I didn't think it would be long before you ended up here. I went past there today and thought that someone must have got in there by now to make a video!! The council bought all the houses and they are due to be demolished anytime soon and there are no plans to rebuild.
Yes, I was expecting a lot more of the houses to be open but sadly not yet. I can imagine they all look the same.
Thanks, how sad all those memories 😢. Keep safe 👍.
Thank you, I will.
Very pretty homes i like the gardens
Thanks Arnoud hope your feeling better mate.
ty Wayne. Good to see you back. Great vid.
Great to hear from you. Thanks for watching
I bet it's not due pollution, they look like they're sliding down the hill
Did anyone find out why the pollution only likes one side of the road?
Exactly. Lol.
Is the pollution from the traffic or something seeping from the soil?
Passed this many times with work. Thanks for the mooch as it saves me a wasted journey...
Very welcome!
I’m amazed at the poor planning of the roads. Just plain strange. Thanks for the video Wayne 😊. Thumbs up from me 👍😁
You and me both! Thanks for watching
Must have been heartbreaking for previous owners
I knew this had been talked about for a few years but didn't realise that they were actually empty now
Fabulous video! How sad that the air pollution is so high especially when the gardens backed onto a river which should actually help move the pollutants in the air 😔
Thanks for watching
@@collidingplanetsexploring6630 my pleasure, you've been missed! 😊
Sold because of Traffic/Noise pollution, apparently over 21,000 vehicles pass through a day. The ones on the other side are higher up so are ok apparently.
YOU'RE BACK BABY!!!!
Yes lol, don't know how long for though. I will have to follow you around.😂
About 20 years ago didn't they want to widen the road but the people wouldn't sell their houses so the plans got blocked.
Hi this is my first time watching your videos as you go upstairs and walk in the room you start to walk towards the window as you are going near it I see an eye blinking infact I think it’s before you get to the window I think it’s a cat in the cupboard but not sure but definitely a small eye blinked
I think they are just up from crumlin ,I think I drove past them almost every ,going back to pontypool in my Bailey's coal lorry 1977.
They have been demolished now.
It was because of pollution my friends nan lived in one of the houses, she got forced to move out but they’re meant to be knocking them down but they haven’t been able too because there was bats and then slow worms and they’re protected species so it keeps getting postponed
no wonder they all move out health problem.why was a main road like that built so close to houses.
Thanks for the mention 😀
No problem 👍
thank you for the shoutout, thx to anyone to comes and subscribes to me, it means so much!
This hill is a nightmare when it snows
Omg that is crazy fab video tho x
Thanks for watching
The modern day curse of motor traffic.
Is this just above crumlin on the way to pontypool.
Yes it is.Thanks for watching
Nice video Wayne. Just uploaded a video there myself
You got in to more houses than me anyway I only got in one of them they’ve sealed more of them since then
Thank you Sam.
Great video. Very informative. New sub from me 👍
Thank you.
I broke down in a bus on that road not long after l starting driving for stagecoach
Is this the so called 'Great Britain' , what a Shame.....
what a shame
Thanks for watching.x
One of my friends used to live on this street
Go and check it out Leo.
I presume the pollution is road related? all seems a bit suspicious why they would use tax payers money to buy all these homes and move people out when they could have dealt with the road by bypass or redirecting the road?
Typical council.Thanks for watching
My thoughts exactly
Cost about 4 million to purchase the homes, by pass would probably be over 40 million.
What a waste of good housing stock.
Thanks for watching
16:40 probably would scare them too
Lol.Thanks for watching
We’re to is it
