I’ve been searching Google and RUclips for over an hour and finally found this video, which is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for posting this. Information on replacing the old Y hose with the separate hoses are nowhere to be found, until I came across your video.
Ordering the two piece hose set now.

Hi there does it do anything with gear selection as the gear doesn't select any more also It has check engine and very bad idle please if u know anything about it help me 🙏
Gear selection is done elsewhere and you may have a bad gear selector switch. If you have a 6HP gearbox those things are a bit on the expensive side. Given the fact it is the problem and not something else. Like a blown gearbox where you can select a gear (position LED moves as you move the lever) but nothing happens physically. Might be just low on fluid but might be also a lot worse. But it has nothing to do with your idle. That is a separate issue. Best if you take your car to someone who knows how to do the job or else you'll be throwing money at it with no real solution and then you'll be just sad.
What else triggers po300
p0300 means multiple misfires you probably need new ignition coils but if you didn’t get the #cylinder code try checking your crankshaft sensor or mass airflow sensor I had that p0300 code so I changed all my spark plugs, ignition coils & the crank shaft sensor and it cleared on its own
