They're acting like the guy passed away, Artie is still alive lol
Seriously! I was so confused
I was about to google if he had died 😂
bro i was gunna say that like wtf 😅
only way they could get people talk nicely of Artie Lange was to tell people he was dead. WIsh i could see the look on their faces when they were told he was actually still alive
I didn't even know he was sick
The dramatization of Artie doing coke with the prosthetic pig nose played straight is the funniest fucking thing in the world
Right! 😂😂😂
Listening to how Debra speaks about Artie it is so clear how much love and respect she still has for him.
Absolutely, that part was heartbreaking to hear. I've seen a lot of comments and interviews from her over the years, and she absolutely has a big heart. Heart. I just wish Artie loved himself as much as other people love him
Remember that bit where Deborah’s titty just pops out
I was just thinking she's a good ass friend.
She’s humble and eminently talented.
Will Sasso was one of my favorites from Mad Tv. Loved that guy.

Hi I'm Kenny Rogers and this is jackass
the sassman
MadTV is something we need today; a comedy show that pushes boundaries, and helps us laugh together about things that we think are ridiculous but maybe afraid to say how ludicrous they are in daily life. The slapstick nature of the show for me was a spiritual successors to "In Living Color" in that they pushed the limits and were always on the edge of comedy.
They tried to bring it back but the reception wasnt the same. For obvious reasons. Everything on the show when it was in its heyday is considered offensive now. And thats no longer allowed.
People need to get over themselves. They were over the top funny and that was reality tv not this crap nowadays they call reality tv
People like to say that on forums, but there is no audience for that, which is why it died. It seems like it was detrimental to it's cast members who didn't seem to need it so...
@@magica1355that's kind of a side effect of comedy. Things age. Some well. Some not so much.
It ain’t that deep
Madtv is so much more funnier than SNL
Old snl was mediocre at best.
New snl is trash
No matter how bad SNL has been, this trash was much worse. Unfunny and corny as hell
I liked both shows and would just flip back and forth between them. They both had their ups and downs.
😂😂 I see what you did here.. 😂
Depends on the era of SNL
When Aries Spears brought out the Shaq impersonations for the first time were legendary🔥🔥
Debra's passion for her friend is beautiful. I see her compelled to express to the world How wonderful This man was despite The flaws we are being shown. ❤
Someone should tell debrah he’s still alive 😂
exactly what I was thinking lol
@@Kinpica 😂
I loved this show when i was a kid😂
MadTV was better than SNL during its entire run. Period.
You weren't alive in the 90s. Snl used to be funny. Mad tv has never ever been funny.
No it wasn't
SNL doesn't actually have any MODERN comedic elements, it's just back-to-back doomsday warnings made by jesters (with the jesters being wealthier and less uncivilized than most of the viewers).
It damages psychosocial well-being.
@@billnyethesciencedenier1516 Mad TV and In Living Color are still superior to SNL. SNL is afraid to hurt feelings that aren't Republican.
Except for the Chris Farley era
"When Babies Attack" will always be one of my favorite Mad TV skits.
I’m Fran dreshaaa…
I still think of that clip where they pan back to the babysitter with all those babies on her...omfg it was the funniest scariest thing ever, those little fangs
Debra Wilson was always funny she’s so passionate I’m a huge fan of hers and happy where she is now in her career, you can tell she really cared about all her friends and co workers
Madtv had some heavyweight talents, Debra was one of them for sure. 👍
Sexy too. Probably one of my first faps.
She is the GOAT (for females, anyway). The other women on Mad TV (90's and early 2000's) were also amazing.
@@justacup8676 She, the 3 Nicoles, Krista, Mo, and many others, and possibly the funniest of them all, the zany Stephanie Weir! That's some serious female talent!!!
She does so much voice over work, she stays booked and paid.
You can tell Debra Wilson genuinely cared for Artie
She did looking like RuPaul lil sister
Saying that wtf happened to her she was hot and now she's not
@@reycesarcarino4653 She went woke. Check out her appearance on the Andrew Dice Clay episode, they demonize that man as if he held anti-woman rallies.

But she was still doing cocaine with him
I miss MadTV just like I miss Celebrity Deathmatch. 😢💔
The Artie years on Stern were the greatest.
In Living Color and MADtv were a thousand times better than SNL.
I love Debra. She always comes off as genuine and good hearted.
I want more of a behind the story of MadTV.
Artie’s still alive and this was light compared to the rest of his stories.
The young middle schooler in me knew Mad was funnier than snl. Respected snl, but could see.
That Kenny rogers skit almost killed me. Never forgot how hard I laughed that night
You aren't the only one... I woke my mom up because I was laughing so hard
Keep bringing the Madtv content Vice !!!! I grew up on mad and would honestly love a doc on the series. Also, WAY better than SNL.
They've been trying to dethrone that show for years!
I grew up on Mad TV. And for that... I'm so friggin grateful. 🎉
they talk about Artie as if he is dead.
I thought he was 😭 I had to look it up
He basically is dead
That's what I'm thinking lol the video ended and I'm like.... Is he dead? He's not dead?
I remember watching the first season of MadTV when I was really young I had to be 4 or 5 years old, and I vividly remember being disturbed by the babewatch skit, the other being the office shooter with Jack the UPS guy (Phil Lamar), also CLOPS with the Pillbury doughboy shooting. MadTV in its first 3 seasons was hardcore af.
I got in trouble staying up to watch Mad TV all the time, I loved that first season!
Same!
Based off how Debora Spoke about Artie in te passed tense towards the end had me frantically searching the comments thinking he was dead. Thank god hes not, Ive always really liked Artie not just for his comedy but for his raw honesty and can relate to him quite a bit. What you see is what you get with Artie. Always seemed like a genuinely good guy. Hadnt heard of Deborah Wilson before now but se seems like a truly wonderful friend to have in your corner.
Artie. What a talented comic. If you want to know if someone is funny or not, see how Norm Macdonald feels about them. Norm and Artie were best friends. Also Artie is what made me fall in love with the Howard Stern Show.
MadTV cast taking exception to being made fun of in skits is comedy gold in and of itself 😂 They were hilarious
I thought this was about Madtv in general, not just Artie Lange. He wasn't the best cast member, just the most drug addicted. Will Sasso is way more memorable and funny from Madtv, do a piece on him next for me
Keep these incredible stories coming VICE !!!!👍🏻
The crazy part is that Artie lived longer than Norm.
what do you mean lived hes not dead now
I'm watching the show as a child in the 90s not knowing that Phil Lamar would be the greatest voice actor of all time
We need a full documentary on the history of MADtv.
As a Stern fan, this was a treat but nothing more than we already knew. Hope he sees this.
Mad tv definitely mad underrated they should get way more credit 💪🏽💪🏽
Arties a wild man, gotta love him, hope hes doin good. Last time i saw him his nose was falling off 😢
ok ill rewatch all the mad tv episodes LOL
I have such fond memories watching this show as a kid when I was a kid way back in 97 id try some of the jokes in school it be a hit and miss but i loved this shows early years😢
Madtv was my favorite show to watch on Saturday night in he 90s
I started watching as a child when I was staying up till midnight to watch tales from the crypt mad TV and
Americas most wanted
He was the MadTV Chris Farley.
Mad TV was my thing on a Saturday night Chicago Illinois you get to watch your mad TV on Fox then you change the channel to 26 then you get to watch ECW and WCW Saturday night good times😊 as a 90's kid
I will always love every actror/comedian from that show.
Even Bryan Callen?
Debra Wilson is still incredibly beautiful!!!
First, Glad Artie finally got cleaned up. Both this and Stern didn't do him any good. Also, I love Debra Wilson, she's blown the doors off the VO scene post-MAD TV.
My favorite show growing up 😂🤣
They need to release season 5-6 on DVD. Have the first 4.
Lowered expectations lol
My friends dad worked on Mad TV. On set teacher I believe. RIP Mr Stern
Best sketch show ever!!!!
I still remember the first episode of MadTV. Didn’t know who any of these people were. Now I know all of them.
'dirty work' is a classic
Awesome movie!
I've been listening to nothing but old Stern the past year, never did before, never knew who Artie was, now I'm obsessed with that fucker. This is such a good story to cover honestly. Artie is such a good guy and has lived one hell of a life
Not only are they acting like he passed away, but this is basically what everyone said in the Chris Farley episode
That lady at the end trying to fake cry 😂😂😂
Some people have feelings for people other themselves
Seasons 10, 11, 12 are the best Seasons with the best cast members from Madtv
Younger me had no idea about global politics or t.v. ratings. Popularity had no influence on what i thought as a kid.
I thought SNL was the new show that was for sure going to be canceled because how could it possibly compete with MAD?
I was just thinking about mad tv, crazy 😂😂
I think it's laughable for Orlando to say he didn't like the babewatch skit at the time to seem pious in retrospect, also the whole thing is tone deaf, if you hear Artie tell the babewatch story it's hysterical! They really chose a weird incident to try and articulate the seriousness of his addiction problems.
God I loved this story when Artie told it
Artie telling it is hilarious, but the skit itself was just bad.
Just because the guy performing it didn’t mind it doesn’t mean everybody around it has to be on board. Not sure why you think the one automatically confers the other.
@Stonehorn I just mean him saying that because he thought it was body shaming, like yeah bro I'm sure you thought that was why it was bad at the time
@@courtadbobtail600why you gotta "sure bro" something cuz it seems too woke to be true 🙄 y'all be creating your own world in a flat red pill
Was that really his talking about his ODing/suicide note? If so where did that clip come from
i used to stay up late after the 10 oclock news to watch this
Vice wants Artie to be Chris Farley so badly
My friend and I were just talking about Artie last night, And we had to google to see whether he was alive or not. So glad he is of course
Damn I thought this video was a tribute to his death! What a rollercoaster.
Back when Bryan Callen was still in his 50s
lol hate that guy he thinks he funny but he not
Bobby Lee my fav
I love artie. Ive haven't seen him post anything in awhile. I hope he's doing well and just living
I think about artie all the time. Last I head hes literally working at a gas station and taking care of his mom. cant go near show business cause that means drugs
His face got mangled he’s wrecked
This video makes it sound like he’s already dead 💀 especially the end
yep same i thought he was dead. Was scrolling the comments expecting a bunch of RIP's lol@@MattLuceen
how do you get the title Artie Lange Biographer?
And in 2005 he graduated to heroin which stole his soul and made him into a stuttering and vacant person. With cocaine, he was still Artie (looked and sounded). Since heroin, Artie has left the building (his physical features changed, his cognitive abilities declined, his voice changed, his personality changed, etc). When he got sober pre-covid, it was like the old Artie (pre-2005) was back, but that didn't last.
HOW is this guy still alive??
Absolutely loved this show when I was younger. Debra Wilson, where are you?! Why aren't you everywhere today?!
Omg i remember this show. It was half SNL half sitcom 😂❤
First 2 seasons were awesome. 😊
Michael McDonald, Will Sasso, Debra Wilson, Aries Spears, Mo Collins, Phil Lamar, list goes on and on with talent. Early -mid 2000’s Mad TV was on all cylinders.
I miss Madtv sooooo much
Please bring it back
Love Dave’s narration.
I love the original Madtv did not did not like the reboot
What Series/Episode is this?
Mad TV was crazy always on edge. It was my friend when I was in high school since I hated my school
I became a fan of this show because of Phil Lamar as he was the voice of Vamp in Metal Gear Solid 2!
This really needed to be longer.. So much pain.....
Mad tv great show during its time i used to tune in faithfully
I never watched MADtv or saw a magazine in person but the MAD show on cartoon network was fire. I miss spy vs spy.
I love when videos have happy endings
Artie made faces like Belushi. But i didn't remember his name for some reason bc he was loud like Farley and Belushi
Lookup Artie's face now. His nose collapsed.
Dr Drew is like a MadTV character
What most people don't understand about people that are funny or public people or are always in front of the crowd saying something or being the personality is that we have we have issues that I have to go through that because then what I mean everybody kind of expects one thing for me and I get it you know I have issues and and it turns people off once they see those issues and it's difficult to be that person nobody understands what gets you to be that funny you know you bully people but you are also bullied and I don't know
I think the people who are the funniest, are usually the ones who have the most hurt inside. We get our joy from making other ppl laugh, even at our own expense.
They made a big deal of that pig sketch but as I recall Artie was the one who came up with and pitched that sketch.
Feel bad for the famous guy that can afford his drug habit or else.
Massive Classic
I loved MadTV… I miss you guys 😢
I love Debra so much such a underrated actress/comedian !!
Just reminding me of Chris Farley absolutely sad the demons people battle behind closed doors and are afraid to open up
1:50 Slept King!
I STILL till this day say Mad tv was way funnier than Saturday night live
I loved bobby lee when they did the 24 sketches 😂
why so short?
I love how they're all acting as is if they're perfect angels, never did a bad thing in their lives.. As if they never wrote a fat joke.. Never laughed at a fat person..
'How dare they make fun of Artie's weight'
Piss off!
12 years of Sobriety
First week there Bobby Lee Relapsed...damn
Artie was the best, happy he's doing better now
