Joe. As a weather enthuthiast, you can absolutely tell when a tornado is about to form, when its about to die or "rope out" and wether or not itll express deviant motion. You can tell the strength without even seeing it (by looking at storm relative velocity). You can see the precip type and intensity, the wind and direction. Its not a super power, its something any severe weather fanatic (or storm chaser) can do
Saw this a few days ago, yeah its dumb, but the original one was dumb, but its bloody enjoyable, its not just good disaster porn, its well acted disaster porn that's genuinely enjoyable to watch. Twister is a movie I can watch again and again, and i'm sure it'll be the same once I can buy Twisters.
I dont know if anyone else had this experience, but this movie "twister" is an old movie relating to gathering data in a tornado. I actually saw the original through microwave society, so its surreal to see this movie come out
So true. But from what I have read she was offered. The movie centered around Kate her Gran daughter. She refused the role and changes were made. If she was in it it would receive an A grade from me in any capacity. Huge missed opportunity. But I don't know who is truly to blame. Maybe Helen isn't feeling well?
Chung said he didn't even think about hiring her in a The Wrap interview. Elsewhere it said She wanted to be a producer, if they wanted her in the film, but was denied. Only Hunt knows why her character was denied.
I liked the movie but didn’t care for the fact that this has been marketed as the sequel to Twister for a year and there’s literally nothing about it that was a sequel. “Into the Storm” was as much a sequel as this.
This movie sucked. Why make the main characters similar to the original main characters if they're not related in any way? Tyler is basically Bill and Kate is Jo.

24:00 The counting miles thing is true BUT the calculation is 5 seconds per mile, not one second. So 5 seconds between flash and thunder means it's only a mile away, making it much closer than you previously thought
I sense a bit of ManCrush or Jealousy if so. I actually didn't think Glen clicked for like 10 minutes into the film. HIs introduction was not strong for my taste. He did reel it in so to speak and logged a strong performance overall from my perspective.
I mean....people are welcome to hate unwanted sequels, but Twisters was a fun movie to watch. It was a simple, straightforward, and goofy movie that didn't bring up wokeness, political messages, or what gender the twister sisters were. Twisters is a solid 7. I'd give it a 9 for recent movies being released but I've been watching movies for 40 years now. I'm a little biased against modern movies at this point. "BacK in MY DaY...."
During the peak tornado season, especially outbreaks (like the one that happened in the movie) there will quite literally be tons of tornadoes in one night. This year we actually had three separate tornadoes hit one town in one night. It feels ridiculous until you realize it’s not. These chasers are watching outlooks for the next day and chasing cells, that’s why you see so many tornadoes in this movie. I do agree tho, everyone has a weather app, nobody would have been caught off guard like they were in the rodeo scene, but some people straight up ignore warning until the storm is right on them.
You dont have to see the original to see this movie, or so they keep saying. If however you see this movie you absolutely have to see the original. Maybe then you'll know what a good action moovie looks like. Youll get to know what on screen chemistry looks like.
this movie i think is based around or at least has the 2011 super outbreak in mind while making the tornadoes except for the last huge tornado which is obviously a reference to the 2013 el reno tornado, they said theres a tornado outbreak in the movie so thats why im assuming there was so many tornadoes
I really love your videos and reviews. I really wish you guys could post the audio at spotify or any other platforms. I work at a warehouse and can only listen to you guys.
No this movie is not realistic but its a lot of fun and worthy of a cinema ticket for sure. There were plenty of throw backs to the original, I saw and heart loads that got me all giddy. I am glad I decided to watch it on a big screen.
Quite charming, great CGI, simple but effective, perfectly chosen cast, in 4X it was a fkn blast. BTW Record No.of tornado's in 24 hours is 175 on the 27-28 April '11 USA.
As an Oklahoman, my only gripe is the idea that people don't know what to do if a tornado is coming. Yeah, in a tornado warning we're not running to shelter, but we're ready to make a move.
The drama from the two groups was one was trying to help the people, the other was trying to take advantage of the tornado victims.. also just for the record, I live in Oklahoma, we do not play sports out in tornado weather.. there are tons or warnings no matter how small the town..

I like the movie, I thought it was great. No political messages, no Mary sues, a little romance, some character growth, fun intense action sequences, I recommend it.
This is the right kind of throwback film. It doesn’t lean much on its inspiration, only alludes to here from time to time. It doesn’t ridicule or lampoon the sillier aspects of the original, it embraces it fully. Like, there could have been a scene where our two mains are running from a Tornado, fine a well pipe and say “that would never work!” and keep running… that’s what most throwback films these days do. This is a movie that, if you didn’t have modern technology and CGI in it, feels like it could’ve been made a year or two after Twister. Could they have made a more scientifically sound film? Sure. But if that’s what you want, you’re missing the point. Just have fun.
Whistling diesel is a RUclipsr and he decided to go help out a town that was hit very hard in a snowstorm, he used his own equipment and plowed through the snow to help people that needed food and water and such, so it’s not far fetched at all with RUclipsrs helping.
Literally fell asleep around the second time the cowboy dude was going for doing the fireworks again. Feels like a C-grade VHS movie redone today. Almost sharknado without the selfaware camp.
I completely disagree with the boys here on this one. I thought the movie was fantastic. It could be over the top sometimes but they mention in the film that they are chasing a tornado outbreak and to give you an idea. I've seen tornado outbreaks produce tons of tornados from just from one storm. Just this year in Nebraska I saw a livestream of a storm near Omaha produce 4 tornados one right after another and they were strong. But idk I loved it as much as the original and I enjoyed how sincere they were with the movie as well. This movie was much more serious in tone than the original too and it does well.
Yeah me and my wife went and saw it on our anniversary day. Expected it to be a 5/10 movie but was really pleasant ly surprised afterwards. Great effects and surprisingly intriguing story. But think it really needs to be watch in a cinema to get the greatness from the tornados :) otherwise i think u will get a 5/10 experience most likely on a regular tv setup :p
In this movie, we start off more or less on the side of the bad guys from the first film. Remember Carey Elwes? Those guys. We’re on their team now. The rag tags show up being all obnoxious, which was previously endearing when Phillip Seymour Hoffman is shouting like an idiot. Midway through, our totally-not-Helen-Hunt defects to the rag tags because Doug Dimmadome (minus the hat) is the embodiment of corporate evil and yet while all this is happening nobody seems to realize that the technology to NEUTRALIZE TORNADOS would be IMMENSELY PROFITABLE ON ITS OWN RIGHT 😂
The tornado frequency complaint is extremely misplaced. Hell Nebraska had 7 in one day back in May, with 17 in a week span. The movie had ~5 in 4 days.
Me and my friends had a blast watching Twisters…. Our theater was packed and it was such a fun experience seeing it in the cinema with a bunch of people all enjoying themselves! Going to see it again tonight! 🌪️
For what it was supposed to be.. This movie was Dope AF.. People are to just to jaded and cynical. And for the Music.. Its Oklahoma.. What do you expect.
I liked the music. I am more of a hard rock guy but I like all kinds of music. It was nice to see a movie without a rap beat to all the music, made it feel like OK to me (I lived there for a bit in the 90s)
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I did see the original movie 10+ times in the theater. The real life Tornado chaser "larger then life" Reed Timmer, chases almost every day on RUclips. They usually start streaming around 3pm each day, traveling to where the storms are in the US almost everyday. Tim Samaris was killed by the El Reno tornado May 31rst 2013. He was the original real life chaser that would put instruments "like Dorothy" in front of tornados!:)
I love the first "Twister", it has SO MUCH nostalgia for me, but having watched it recently... all the characters EXCEPT for the main three are obnoxious as all get out (Bill Paxton and Phillip Seymour SUCK ZONE Hoffman R.I.P.). The fact that people are getting their pants twisted (pun intended?) due to some of these characters and scenarios need to remember the original story. I loved this movie!!! It gave me the updated sci-fi tornado chaser Hollywood blockbuster I fell in love with back in the '90s. The opening sequence though... dang. THAT was traumatic.
Real tornado chasers use things similar to augers that drill into the ground to prevent from being rolled. Reed Timmer has spikes on his Dominator vehicle that shoot into the ground.

1:50 “It brought me back to the 90s destruction era” Good, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. 🌪️
I actually saw the original through microwave society, so its surreal to see this movie come out
Helen Hunt shoulda been the new Aunt for a new group. missed opportunity
She probably demanded way too many $$$
Nah, she wanted to make a much more woke movie. It’s better off being the apolitical popcorn flick that it is.
Absolutely not. Constant callbacks are overrated. This is its own movie.
The Helen Hunt white tank-top returned; that was a memberberry 😂
I liked the movie but didn’t care for the fact that this has been marketed as the sequel to Twister for a year and there’s literally nothing about it that was a sequel. “Into the Storm” was as much a sequel as this.
This movie sucked. Why make the main characters similar to the original main characters if they're not related in any way? Tyler is basically Bill and Kate is Jo.
A VHS player is called a VCR. Jeez.
Actually it's a VCP They had those in the 80s. These units didn't have a record feature and were primarily designed to be rented.
I thought it was horrible. Just watch the original. I would have been pissed If I watched this in theaters.
Joe!
We gotta go, Julia, we got Joe review!
suspension of disbelief is like salt, just the right amount and you wont notice it and makes the food taste better, too much makes it noticeable and taste bad....
I'm both excited and, obviously, caught some nostalgia bait. Yet, I'm not really watching until the hype dies down. I'm broke, so it's better to wait and watch it myself.
The ticket prices for me and my dad were only 6 dollars and I really enjoyed it def deserved to be seen on the big screen for your first watch👍
24:00
The counting miles thing is true BUT the calculation is 5 seconds per mile, not one second.
So 5 seconds between flash and thunder means it's only a mile away, making it much closer than you previously thought
This is the Glen Powell show. YEEEEE - JeremyJahns
I sense a bit of ManCrush or Jealousy if so. I actually didn't think Glen clicked for like 10 minutes into the film. HIs introduction was not strong for my taste. He did reel it in so to speak and logged a strong performance overall from my perspective.
Glen Powell the bringer of the YEEEEs. Lots of YEEEEEs.
How did that reporter survive being blown away by one of the tornados?
I mean....people are welcome to hate unwanted sequels, but Twisters was a fun movie to watch. It was a simple, straightforward, and goofy movie that didn't bring up wokeness, political messages, or what gender the twister sisters were.
Twisters is a solid 7. I'd give it a 9 for recent movies being released but I've been watching movies for 40 years now. I'm a little biased against modern movies at this point.
"BacK in MY DaY...."
The character Javi is the new Melissa let that sink in lol 😂
My daughter and I watched this earlier today. She LOVED it. It wasn't terrible. It's a tornado movie. Let's not take it that serious, guys.
What
It was absolutely terrible
Girlboss jedi powers storm watcher
Who is as good as his male counterpart which is made clear in their first scene together @@HeathenActual500
Just got back from seeing this movie. It felt like a 90s blockbuster with a 2024 budget 8/10 😊
I thought the writing was cringeeeee lol agree mega tropey

Aren't those screws just gonna dig up the dirt? They aren't going to sink into the ground and get a grip. Probably way too short as well.
I need that Catnado review
this movie i think is based around or at least has the 2011 super outbreak in mind while making the tornadoes except for the last huge tornado which is obviously a reference to the 2013 el reno tornado, they said theres a tornado outbreak in the movie so thats why im assuming there was so many tornadoes
THE POWELL ACTOR IS DEFINITELY AN S-TIER ACTOR I THINK THE MOVIE WOULDVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY BORING IF HE WERENT IN IT KUDOS TO HIM
I really love your videos and reviews.
That was a hang up for me. Sure some people will panic but there is SOME education on emergencies after all.
The drama from the two groups was one was trying to help the people, the other was trying to take advantage of the tornado victims.. also just for the record, I live in Oklahoma, we do not play sports out in tornado weather.. there are tons or warnings no matter how small the town..
I can't get over that the climax or the movie is literally, "Let's control mother nature by shooting micro plastic chemicals into the atmosphere."
It was used to stop the tornado
Twister?
I barely know her!
They actually Kiss in the end of the movie. They kissed on Set but they cut it out of the end. I have the video if you want its behind the scenes
there is a behind scene ?
@@creatorsfreedom6734 yes do u want me to post it
I LOVE THIS REVIEW! Stoked to see you guys vibe a movie after this last eight weeks of unanimous and well deserved hate about the series that shall not be named. Watching the boys laugh and talk about Budweiser is refreshing. Had a good time at the drive in watching this movie with the boys during a thunderstorm next to a trailer park this weekend. Legendary night. Killer review, love you dudes
The reason they didn’t like javi’s group wasn’t that they were competitors. It was because of the “owner” or the rich guy that buys people’s land after the storms
I hope it was good , I loved the first one !
Both were terrible
Thats your opinion, and you are entitled to it, doesn't make it a fact for every person though bud.@@DR.DisInfect
weII I didnt expect anything, I Iove the 90s Twister, and this one was good too.
@@anthonygregory6797 Why do you people bother coming through making the most obvious comments to these trolls? Are you people that stiff in the brain? Just shut up and let the troll rot. You're just as bad.
@@BaschBarrage I personally loved the first, haven't seen this new one just due to bad reboots over the years, once it hits blu ray I'll definitely give it a watch.
I saw it today and I enjoyed it
It didn’t feel like a sequel to Twister directly but to me it was kind of a sequel with the spirit of twister
It’s not a sequel I think it’s it’s own thing
"there's a tornado every 3 seconds!"
I just watched a Reed Timmer video where they followed 1 storm that dropped 7 tornados one right after the other.
Just got home from seeing Twisters AND I'm SO glad this is the first review I clicked on. Y'all's take on this was SO hilarious. I totally agreed with everything y'all said! Bravo boys! 🤣👏🍻
I like the movie,
I thought it was great. No political messages, no Mary sues, a little romance, some character growth, fun intense action sequences, I recommend it.
Y'all know exactly what review everyone is waiting on .....
I like the film, old school cheesy fun with a likable cast. How long since we had one of those?
Also - Glen Powell = Steve Rogers?
Glen Powell could be Steve Rogers. I am a big Chris Evans fan (as Cap), but Glen could do.
This movie is stupid fun. Why did it take 40 + minutes to review this popcorn flick?
Because some people like long-form content
He put that truck in ultra park at the airport
lol that was funny that got a laugh from me
They couldn't tow him but they sure could ticket him.
Is it fun to watch? Kinda. Like yeeehaww. Is it worth it the movie ticket? No. Should’ve been on a streaming service.
Me and my friends had a blast watching Twisters…. Our theater was packed and it was such a fun experience seeing it in the cinema with a bunch of people all enjoying themselves! Going to see it again tonight! 🌪️
Just saw it last night and really liked it
AJ: ok I let you guys give some comment on this movie
OJ: *say 1 word
AJ: Im gonna stop you right there
Most unrealistic part is backing up a 40ft trailer on a ball hitch at speed without jack knifing it.
Went through my head as well. "No, there's no way he's trying to back up FAST with a big trailer behind him." LOL
4.5/10 shit was bad
HALO GOT CANCELLED ON PARAMOUNT+!!! YAY!!!
For what it was supposed to be.. This movie was Dope AF.. People are to just to jaded and cynical. And for the Music.. Its Oklahoma.. What do you expect.
I liked it
I liked the music.
As someone who’s lived in Oklahoma my whole life, people outside during big storms/tornadoes is 1000% accurate lol
I always thought every second was a mile too. Turns out it's every 5 seconds is one mile so oftentimes that lightning is a lot closer.
My friend saw this last night in 4d she Said it was sick wind blowing and chair shaking when the twisters were around even some water spraying lol.
Reed Timmer has spikes on his Dominator vehicle that shoot into the ground.
the first one has lots of schlock. so im not suprised.
also this is shot on 35 just like the first one. so that is a reason for me to see it.
Cinefile
What schlock was in the first one? It's a pretty straightforward movie
