I prefer it when a director is honest about "Hey, tits are fun, let's have some!". It always feels far sleazier when their motive is clearly "horny", but they have to spin excuses about no, it's totally central to the plot, or an artistic metaphor.

We need a Part 3 BUT give zack the budget of a fan film, because that’s basically all these are anyway. Take away all the fancy tools and see how far it gets.
So your telling me it's Jupiter ascending all over again.
At least Jupiter Ascending had Eddie Redmayne throwing subtlety into space.
Rebel Moon didn't have a memorable acting performance.
Don't you dare to mock Jupiter Ascending like that. Those 2 bumbling idiot lead have more chemistry than whatever the hell is in Rebel Moon.
Except Cara is hot in that, even if she can't act. Rebel moon doesn't even have eye candy.
I can't... I legit cannot watch sex stuff in movies or series or whatever. I always just skip it... I am not a prude but it just doesn't do anything for me because I know it's fake and sometimes like you said, not tastefully done.
"how'd you get those answers" "it's a loooong story"
*sees antlers on the ground* "neat"
For the pokemon suizide and an entertaining hour, so I don't have to watch the movies!
His best movie is DAWN OF THE DEAD written by James Gunn.
Agree it was also his first movie.
It's Watchmen, but that's largely thanks to Alan Moore's writing.
"It was so bad I canceled my sister's subscription"
You guys say white chick's was a bad movie? Lost me there folks🎉
Alex's face at the start says it all.
I genuinely think this is the worst movie of the year. I got more enjoyment out of Madame Web and Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate. I’m dead serious. A bootleg SnyderCut with a shit and manufactured hype cycle and none of the debated charm. I see why Zack has earned the nickname “Hack Snyder” now. And I think he’s aware of all of this. The benefit of the doubt is gone
The violence was definitely improved. But most of the extended exposition and story beats just make it seem even more ridiculous, and the movies are worse for it.
rebel moon has so much potential to be something new but instead feels like every generic space opera ever made
I feel like Apple is the only sci-fi creativity left. Their sci-fi shows are so good. Foundation is great science fiction. Sad that Joe doesn't review them.
What other scifi shows do they have like foundation on apple?
@@cecollins68 For All Mankind is one of their really big ones. It's an alternate earth where the space race never fizzled out. Severance is the other one. Silo and Dark Matter are well enough regarded.

AJ - What’s this chicks name?
OJ - Yes.
😂😂😂😂
oh God it's like an anti- dune pt 1/2 or furiosa/fury road double feature... i never watched the og versions because I was waiting for this... idk if I can get thru 3+ hrs each version in one go. I'm gonna wait till I can get some edibles lol
Just a sad reminder that if Henry Cavill's Amazon WH40K series doesn't pan out, this will be the closest we'll get to a 40K adaptation, because Snyder ripped off so damn much from the IP.
And other IP’s too.
Do not worry
I haven't no fucking idea how my dad loved watching these movies
Early Dementia?
because at the very least theyre a visual feast and the action is consitently fantastic minus the overuse fo slow mo. The writings bad but who expects good writing from a snyder movie
Snyder has a consistent track record for making sex scenes awkward and weird. Watchmen has one of the worst sex scenes I've ever witnessed. The Amy Adams bathtub scene comes out of nowhere and just feels awkward.
I prefer it when a director is honest about "Hey, tits are fun, let's have some!". It always feels far sleazier when their motive is clearly "horny", but they have to spin excuses about no, it's totally central to the plot, or an artistic metaphor.
6 hrs straight? Y’all need raises. 💰
Six movies planned??? Yikes, if there is ANYTHING Netflix should scrap….and they scrap so many good shows
Good news: Army Of The Dead was canned. Rebel Moon is next.
@@fulcrum6760 And Army of the Dead at least was more entertaining than this mess
Even if this was the Director’s Cut, why couldn’t this be original Versions of the Film, because nobody asked for this, Zach doesn’t have the Capability to create a Franchise when all he does is planning too ahead instead of focusing on One Movie, but all we got is another Soulless and Heartless Franchise that Other Companies did the Right Thing for Regret Snyder since the Late 90s.
Netflix basically wanted their own Syder Cut because they saw how successful it was for HBO max. So they basically paid Zack Snyder to make a PG-13 version and a R rated director’s cut for both films.
The robot ran away in the movie after reading the script
Better you guys than me. If you're still giving Zack Snyder a directors chair in 2024, you deserve it.
Violence without blood is violence without consequence.
I will never watch it, I’m here to laugh with AJ and the team at this garbage.
Still want the crossover between Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead so the time traveling Terminator robot zombie can finally be explained.
Im telling yall
Removing Snyder from the DCEU was the best choice and this was the proof if you allow Snyder go 100% creative freedom
Nahhhh that ain't it. This is like a all star QB going to another team and ending up worse, along with the team that had him.
They both needed each other.
his only hit was 300 and i believe he totally fluked it with that one
Watchmen is his best movie IMO
I actually like the Snyder Cut a decent bit, its not great but I’d watch it again
@@ganggang3788watchmen was pulled straight from the comics, exactly the same story.
@@BiggusDingus325 300 was a shot for shot of the comic as well.
I liked Watchmen a lot. Also, as far as his director's cuts go, the longer version of Batman vs Superman was like a completely different movie.
Rebel Moon Parts 1 and 2 caused Joe and the gang to Rebel Yell at these movies for an hour.
Zach Snyder should be banned from using slow motion in any of his films from now on. Also, this directors cut evoked zero emotions from me. At least i got angry from the original version. The directors cut felt like beating a dead horse.
I agree with Alex. Snyder needs to stay away from movies that he has full creative control over. Stick to directing only and give the writing, producing, and cinematography to people who are much better at those jobs. Dawn of the Dead 2004 is still one of the best zombie movies out there because James Gunn wrote the script while Snyder directed.
Even directing, he needs to be reigned in
@@famousthaneus9810"Zach, are all these slow-me scenes necessary? This is excessive. You know what? You only get 2 slow-mo scenes. MAX! So make'em count. No more than 5-10 seconds each. Got that? If you don't, we're cutting 1 million dollars from your budget for every extra second of slow motion on screen."
Do I want a Part 3 or End Immediately?
I want time travel so they never exist.
Snyder is hack and incapable of filming a tight narrative under 2 hours. He shot 6 hours plus of film and still it’s a mess. If Im a studio Im telling him he has a strict budget and 2 hour run time to work with and he must hire writers. Deadpool recently was 2 hours and 5-7 minutes yet told a beautiful story and a 3 act structure and left you satisfied. We didn’t need a 4 hour plus directors cut from Reynolds to better understand him and Logans motives.
@AustinGriffin-s1d I did
@AustinGriffin-s1d Snyder fanboy
‘Remember when I told you I was the adopted daughter of Belasarrious?’ How can we forgot you remind us every scene 😂
Snyder proves yet again that the longer his movie, the stupider it gets 😎😅
I also love how robot Anthony Hopkins tells a story about how the princess was going to usher in an era of peace and compassion. Then a couple minutes later we get dialogue from Kora about how she idolized the first princess for "slaying her foes with grace." This movie loves contradicting itself 😅
Or when Kora says love wasn't a thing in the First Order and yet she was somehow encouraged to find a lover to fight for.
I like how in this version it's way better acknowledged that the establishment of this insanely war-like society would find a rule of peace and compassion to be bullshit and would naturally do whatever they can to stop it.
I purposely waited to watch the Director’s cuts and watched Part 1 over the weekend. Overall me and gf enjoyed it. Especially all of the gratuitous blood
And gore. Still need to see part 2. Im an unapologetic fan of Snyder’s extended cuts. Y’all are way too harsh.
I love how Joe says vignettes
Does he do that on purpose, or does he genuinely not know how to pronounce it?
People need to stop giving Zack Szyder money
Alex's face in the first 5 seconds says it all.
Why is there even a director's cut? Why not just release this version in the first place? It's Netflix, not the theaters
because netflix wanted a big family hit for christmas day that could be targeted at as broad an audience as possible just like "star wars". His DC is just the films he wanted to make originally
Why does the cult want Synder back at DC?
Because nobody wants James Gunn's twink poolboy as Superman.
@@TheManOfTheHourEveryHourGunn is a million times better writer than Snyder lol. He knows how to write and create lovable characters. Guardians were unknown before he took over and made them one of the best IPs.
@@jakeoriental8847 you can love his poolboy in a baggy Superman suit all you want. That's your weird, fetishist perogative.
Because they think Snyder was the answer to Disney’s IP like Star Wars and especially Marvel
Banish them to the eternal void!
Has Zach Snyder ever written any books? Because his stories sound more suited to novel format than a movie one.
Bro....6 hours?!!!!!!!
Yup
@@BehuraStudio dude...
Holy shit, that’s longer then Gods and Generals lol
@@flippedoutkyrii like I feel for Joe,OJ and Alex almost 2 hours of this junk was brain rot enough but 6?! I fear the level of brain rot they were exposed to is terminal
Pt 1 was 3hrs 21 mins
Pt 2 was 2 hours 53 mins
I actually would have lowered the rating somewhat just because I now have to sit through an equally shit movie for even LONGER.
I was done with Snyder after Batman V Superman (Extended Version)! No film maker in history made 2-3 versions of the same film to be good, (Director's Cut is different!) and he is NOT a good film maker!
Tbh only good movies he has made is Man of Steel and 300
@@mysteriousknight8050 Yeah! Agreed! The guy is not good in telling unique stories and a good character arc, just experiments with cinematography!
