The 1000 is really so tiny, I thought the camera car was a Commodore wagon. Only car smaller is the 1000 utility. The tacho only goes to 7000 rpm, by the way. Really lovely job on the restoration.

Just about to do the maddat disc conversion myself! would love to see some pics of the cross member and engine mounts etc, as i've been told the A15 sits taller that the A10/A12 and requires a few mods here and there to fit
No clue if it is possible though would love a Datsun 1000 coupe with a modified A16 engine as a daily. Curious though given the relation between the A and E OHC engines, whether there was enough scope in the A engine for it to be further stretched from an A15 to an A16 by Nissan itself without the redesign that led the E OHC? Also understand a OHC head and other parts of the E engine can be made to fit the A engine.
