These precedents are extremely dangerous in the way they open doors to future internet restriction
When you restrict portions of the internet, similar to China's Great Firewall project, you are restricting the possibilities of the internet
And when you restrict topics of discussion, you also restrict free thought over time. As when you no longer have any form of conversation / media to refer to, knowledge disappears.

Even if I don't like tiktok, I don't want to see the Government ban a platform but won't do the same for Facebook, Instagram Twitter that all commit the same privicy issues, If not worse.
It's also a matter of precedent. This "protecting against foreign adversary applications" could affect more than Tiktok.
All around, internet censorship is never a good thing IMHO.
@@RTPTechTips yeah, like normally I think that "what's next" is a lazy argument and we can't make predictions on "feelings" but I will say that this is not the right step in direction. I think tiktok is not so good platform, but I don't think it should be banned .
sick, i hate the app cuz it is sush a trainwreck for society, but the ideas to take it away in order to be able to spy on the own people is just sick. i see this as a hostile move of the us

commenting on youtube has been weird lately, i had commented 3 times on this vid and all of them got shadow banned, after reloading a couple of times all comments are visible, am i seeing things or is YT the issue????
Weird. Seems to happen to certain accounts, and other times certain video topic - but could be random (I mean, I guess!).

That's wack. I have also found this once in a while. Sometimes seemed videos concerning lobbying, and other times, certain innocently rendered (but maybe flagged ) keywords used in comments (or maybe they deleted my comment).
