Well, I hate that no one's told you this already, but you're _not_ supposed to brush curly hair. You unknowingly damaged your own hair, dude.
As for making the headaches worse, you were tying your hair too tightly.
It's not that your hair isn't meant to be long. It's just that you had no idea how to properly take care of it. Sadly, you can't just simply ignore it as it grows out.
WRAITH, I'm sorry to tell you but you arent the first one to tell me that buddy. And brushing it was the only way I was able to keep it from getting tangled up badly. I tried using many different sized combs and none worked on me. As far as tying goes, I was not tying it tight at all, in this video the barber had done it tight in order to save the pony tail. Asaide from that I literally never wore my hair in a pony tail, I only ever put in pony tails for these videos to show you guys. I always wore my hair in really loose low hanging buns, and even then I still go headaches. The real reason my hair was in the bad condition that it was, is because I did not get trims as frequently as I should have, which was wrong on my end but it was for reasons I didn't share. Regardless if it would have been in good condition or not, the fact of the matter is that I would get terrible headaches, and I did not look good at all with long hair in my opinion at least. So, I do know how to take care of it, its just that for reasons that are out of my control it's not very logical for me to have long hair. But, I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and actually hearing what I had to say about it, thanks man! 👍

Daniel, well basically I cut it because I didnt look good with long hair at all and it was getting very annoying specially with my hobbies cuz I like to work on cars alot and build different things, so its always getting dirty and messed up. Also, my hair was very unhealthy and i had really bad split ends, and i could never wear my hair down because it would instantly get messed up with any little wind so I always had to have it tied up and it gave me alot of headaches always having it tied up. So its not really that i gave up on growing my hair its that it just wasent really ment to be long i guess you can say. But yeah those are pretty much the main reasons. Thanks for watching my vids. Also i explained in the vid how ill keep making more videos, about my different projects, so if you're interested keep tuned and check them out once i post them.

It was great to join you on your growing journey - a real accomplishment! Being an Aussie, I've heard of Florida's hot humid weather which wouldn't be conducive to really long hair. At least you kept the beard. I've grown quite long beards over the years, and like long hair, they need constant maintenance, shampooing, etc. which is always time consuming! Bet it feels weird not having the extra weight around your head/shoulders. You can always grow it out again if and when your circumstances, hobbies change.
James Fife, yeah I mean the beard hasent ever really bordered me at all, I actually really like it. And yeah haha it felt extremely weird after I cut it, and it still does tbh 😂

All u needed was some coconut oil. Ur hair will be soft. I’ve been growing out my hair for 3 years. I got a fade and cut the sides and back. Have the top tho but it’s not 3 years long anymore cuz I trimmed to shoulder length. I regret shaving the sides. My hair was literally like an inch shorter than yours. Growing back the sides tho now. All u needed was some good hair products, even me. But I use coconut oil now. It’s not that expensive and it’s the best.
Jihad Owais, i had used coconut oil in the past but it still didn't chabge the fact that my hair was really curly and puffy and hard to maintain it was just time you know
Nice vid bro I got a question when you grew your beard did you grow it for 3 years with out trims or did you trim it while growing your hair thanks.
Jack Winston, if you look at my timelapse vids you'll see how I actually cut it off completely a few times in the first year, then the rest I did trim it often.

I have a question: when you had long hair, did you lose them a bit? Because always after combing I'm leaving a little of them on my brush and I'm worried. I do not use any supplements, only shampoo every two days.

I've got another question. I'm in 20 month of growing up my hair, but ends of my hair are split. I don't know what to do. Cut them (at the hairdresser or myself?) or just let them grow?
Iron Black, just go to a hairdresser and get them cut, do not cut them yourself.
Good result. Be a lot easier to maintain.

I can understand...sadly. I had long hair once and had it almost shaved. While I missed (and still do) my long hair, I LOVE the convenience of the buzz....it's awesome. But long hair on a man is sexy.

Rufet Gozelov, how many centimeters is my beard? I dont know in centimeters but in inches is like 2.5-3 inches if you straighten the hair. And in terms of time look at my timelapse vid for that, you should be able to get an idea.
