Questions and comments are extremely welcomed and I will try to get back to you as quickly as possible if you have a question.
UPDATE: I will try to make another nightmare mode run sometime in the future. I have found a couple of strats that may save maybe about 1 minute. I'm very impressed with this run either way, didn't think I would break my older time which was 1:35:xx.

Can we take a minute to talk about these graphics? I remember back in the day that I was amazed the first time I played because it was miles ahead of the other games' graphics. The shadows, the water, the cutscenes... amazing.
Parasite Eve 2 is easily in my Top 10 of all time. This game is a gem.

Scared me the first time when I heard it but after a while it just got annoying because I was stuck, wasn`t sure what to do, game was Japanese version, so most of the dialog was in Japanese. I was about 10 at the time. Love this game so much.

Man these pre rendered backgrounds are something else. This was the best looking game back when I played it and it still looks absolutely stunning today.

ProBearFister I'm gonna be honest, I hate this game. I was a HUGE fan of the first game, but the changes in this game felt so stupid and poorly thought out.

Both games are awesome though, just different.
Alluring Agony It's an RPG. What does realtime have to do with anything? The story, setting, everything was more compelling in the first game. It actually felt unique and genuinely unnerving. PE2 was Resident Evil with RPG elements.

ProBearFister one of the best Playstation games I ever played. 2001 was a good year for me just because of the memories I have of playing this with my buddies watching.
The utilization of all the items done right in this game is what differentiates RE titles and PE. This is true _survival_ horror.
Back when it was really fun to play a survival horror game. This game deserves more credit than it gets.

Parasite Eve II is the only game that ever could stop me playin Resident Evil 3.

I tried it again some years ago too, but the tank controls felt so bad, dunno how I played it so much as a kid w/o a problem. Guess I got soft over the years lol.

This speedrun is too awesome even the monsters can't keep up lol. I was nervous & laughing at the same time, the thrill turns into comedy by simply ignoring the creepers! Haha

same, yesterday I died at least 3 times because that annoying attack but now I know how to beat out the crap of Brahman.
This game is the only reason why i´m keeping my PS2 to play it once a year those were the times when games would be fully developed and not rushed for money. I am praying that they remake this but not change it to drastictly the combat system was fun. In the army times we were playing this or RE series Tomb Raider of course Silent Hill … ok i´m brabbling. Great run absolutely intense running around with 3 hp !!!
When I saw "not rushed for money" just suddenly realize how low standard of game industry become today

Just found a glitch of the M4 Javelin attached, if you press pause when shooting the laser, then the laser shot will be judged as the same as the normal shot, which is doing very high damage because laser do multiple hits with one shot each. But if you haven't put any bullets in the clip before, this glitch will be invalid because you'll see the laser shot doing zero damage after that. I've tried it already in the final boss fight, and in fact the laser basically did the same damage as the M249 machine gun if you use the glitch, so if you give up the M249, it probably gonna save about 2 mins, just try it on and see if it works :)
BTW, still haven't reached supergamer yet.... : (
TKMO 月光 yea. i know that glitch already. the problem is getting enough bp for the m4 and defeating the enemy that drops it. glitch isnt viable for a speedrun but otherwise could be fun to use or watch in a regular playthrough

After the final fantasy’s of that era this is my favorite ps1 game of all time, that piece of music that starts at 0:43 is dreamlike
Wow, I thought I played this game a lot. Between this, RE3, and SH1, the PS1 was the greatest console generation ever. PE2 has such a cool atmosphere, great flavor text, and tight/ nuanced gameplay. The graphics are also still pretty good in my opinion thanks to the art direction.

omg disc 1 is so short, I loved this game and went for everything it had to offer me, grinding out tons of kills. never realized how little content there was on the first disc, wow lol
Yea grinding kills is were i messed up i had low ammo and the lab was filled with them so I got ammo went to military and they killed them and I just got the migoose so clear it all up before you go far
1 hour and 30+ min...the first time i played this, it took at least over hour for the 1st level, when i mindless check everything and interact everything, you already finish the game bro 😂
What if games were this good in 2023?
i love the fucking Dryfield Area, it is one of the best haunting area's that i definitely enjoy more

Keyboard or controller? This game's a nightmare with a keyboard in this mode. Really annoying. Its clunky controls really stick out like a sore thumb in this one.

Great run! I need to know, how do you instant drop from knight golem and take no damage?! I have to mash up on d-pad to get loose and still take good damage.
@@sgggoldrnjr4967 If you do get grabbed from those golem enemies, yes you mash that dpad as fast as you can. It also helps to mash the controls as well like X and circle buttons but will have less of an impact, doesn't hurt to try. If done right you'll always struggle off without taking any damage. Doesn't matter if you're at full or low health, it's the same amount of button presses.
OH MY GOOOSH the DAMAGE, I didn't know Berserker was this useful. I thought it was only for PE benefits. 1:32:41 Even Eve was pissed off cause she tried to bitch slap you and then tried to tag in her ghost so she could catch a break. XD

How did you not get hit by flames vs burner? The animations are going right through you, and I just tried to replicate your positioning but still got hit by his flame “hiccups” right before the necrosis proc interrupts
Depends on burner's position. When you're in the corridor, you want to let him move more to the right side of the screen by not shooting him. If you keep shooting him while he's moving you may interrupt his movement causing him to stop prematurely. Also you need to stand as close to the left side of the wall as possible.

So many times you just like...perfect frame evade certain death. Did you invent all these tricks/timings yourself?
Some of them I found from watching gameplay and some of them I improve upon. I do a few tricks for evasion no one uses throughout the run but only because I feel comfortable with it.

@@aznxknight just noticed that your HP goes down by 2 after every shot when you induced Berserk. Will the M249 get you to 2 HP after like 44 rounds?
@@le-jaunemorgan6563 Guns with low rate of fire deal 2 damage per shot/burst. Guns with high fire rate like m249, mp5a5, m950 just to name a few will do 2 damage every time you press the R1 button. But of course with these guns you just hold them down so you only lose 2 hp ONCE and still get to fire as many shots you like until you stop or run out of ammo.

I still don't understand the Exhausted and Sick Condition. Can anyone explain it to me? I don't wanna play Scavenger and Nightmare mode, so any explanation is appreciated 😅
Ignore what it says. It's just a fancy way of saying you get less mp (scavenger mode) or less hp (nightmare mode), you do less damage and you take more damage. Has nothing to do with the character being sick or getting exhausted.

In min. 37:46 does the bullet force them to use their ram atack, or why do you shot them before you evade them?
If you agro them they start attacking. So yes i shoot them to get their attention faster than just wait.

Somebody please tell me how to open the SCAVENGER MODE exactly in this game??? I've tried a lot of solution for that but nothing worked so far! :(((

Technically it seems like I need to beat bounty mode many many times not just 7-8 times like I did so far!

You only need to beat bounty mode once as long as you have near 100% kills. You can check your progress for the game at the phones under Play Data>Exterminated.

A few weeks ago I started to play PE2 again on ePSXe emulator and I've just reached 69,230 EXP points!
I am playing Nightmare mode atm I am not saying it's really hard but it's frustrating when it's in your mind that u make one mistake and you are dead!
Gotta keep practicing a lot cos I wanna make a NO DEATH game-play in it!

Any tips on how to recreate the glitch at 31:53? The fire attack passes right through you without damage.
Not a glitch. You shoot burner right before he shoots his fire breath attack. Poison tick from Necrosis resets his attack animation making this easier to do. And you stay as close to the left wall as possible.

I liked this game and Dino Crisis which was similar in play.
My pyrokinesis never hits the left arm of the final ANMC after inflict the 700 hp damage, i also tried moving and aiming 😕
Make sure you're on the same platform level as it. Also the best chance to ignite the arm is when it stops moving. If pyro doesn't work just use inferno or combustion (level 2 or 3) for an easy chance at hitting the arm. It's tricky when you use pyro though because the body is so big you'll just hit some other part.

The scores under 50min seem some unrealistic thing to do without cheat, teleport glitch or some shit like that.
Exactamente aunque yo ya de por si con este video dudo que algunos jefes como Chaser y Waste Emperor tengan tan poca vida (Minimo Chaser necesita 2 explosiones para pasar a la segunda batalla) pero quiza estoy juzgando mal o no sabria decir.

The real one makes a sound when they appear. The fake one doesn't. It helps to turn off music or at the very least keep it low.

Also i believe the MP changing when you leave the firing range is because Aya no longer has the holster?

Yes the holster adds 20 mp but you can't take it with you out of the firing range.
The "sickness" part is just a description that the game tells you, it just makes you start with 50 hp instead of 100.
