I didn’t realize there was a timeline restriction that people had to adhere to when it came to healing from an emotional wound.
I mean for yourself you need to heal. It's not healthy to remain caught up in the past. If you aren't able to heal on your own you need to get help. Being emotionally caught up in a breakup from years and years ago isn't good for you.
They literally broke up like a year-and-a-half ago. Also they dated off and on for 7 years, that's a long time. She also had a lot going on in that time frame, and didn't have time to release new music. Her healing time is pretty healthy.

Some things are hard to get over and I think it's sad that people put pressure on healing time. When I was younger I was in an abusive relationship, it really messed me up. It took me almost 4 years before I could even consider kissing someone. Not because I still had feelings for him but because I knew I wasn't ready mentally to date. My friends knew what happened and would pressure me into dating to "get over it". I don't think he physically hurt her or anything, but it was definitely a toxic relationship. It hasn't even been two years for her, I think she's doing great.
