Noah Lyles, I could not have said it better myself! As in every other sport, to play with the Pro’s, you have to be signed and certified as a Pro Athlete! And you are right, there need to be a standard when it comes to track & field. High school is high school collegiate is collegiate and pros are pros!
I think accessibility could be improved upon. Sure, running itself is accessible, but track and field/athletics, not so much. Imagine if free, public tracks were as common in cities as, say, parks for instance. Imagine if timing yourself, timing others, racing (a set distance on a track), etc. were as ubiquitous as going to a basketball court with friends. Field events are even less accessible, so implementing some elements of field events on tracks open to the public (I imagine) would be advantageous to the sport's growth. Additionally, I believe many schools under-invest in their 'athletics' programs, which consequently leaves them to dry. Just some food for thought; God bless!
Separate Pro Track Meets Exclusively. It would mean more money will have to be allocated towards Marketing/ Promotion to make it make sense on an advertising perspective. Getting networks involved would mean paying for time slots for the duration of the track meet, especially when it’s LIVE. The Season for Track and Field is Hot 🥵 and ticket sales would require facilities that make the audience feel comfortable. Sponsors would be expecting Pre- Graphs (Gross Percentages over amount invested ) 📊 Estimates. Numbers for staff, promoting 3/6 months in advance Finding locations to host parties and events for the athletes to gather when competing in a city. Finalist in all lanes should receive something for their work.
