I'm sitting here and I have to say how proud all of you make me. It probably makes no sense that a 63 year old woman would be so proud of people I don't know.. I am. I never had the chance to finish college. I started work at 19 or so and had to keep it moving. I missed out on so much that makes us who we are. Proud Strong...I lost so much of this that all of you will carry for the rest of your lives, through to your children a strong Heritage of us! I wasn't able to have children so it's me and my husband. Go on! Go on! Go on! Brought tears of happiness and pride to my eyes and heart! Thank you
I think that you and I must be related! I feel exactly the SAME way that you feel even down to being "proud" of people that I don't even know! I think that you and I maybe just respect the kraft because it's definitely not as easy as some may think that it is! I only said that we're related because if we had been the same age, I would have sworn that we were twins! 😊
GB is right. It's never too late. I sent three young people of my own to college. I went to college at same time my youngest started. I was 47. I met men and women in their 60s and 70s. If you want it do it.
The Drum Majors were working their magic, and the camera was showing me the young ladies who were only strutting and sashaying. I love the work of the drum majors. Sorry I missed most of their show.
My son was in band in high school and college and the discipline and commitment involved is intense. Great respect and admiration for all these students
These guys killed it. I get chills every time I watch them come out of the tunnel marching. A force to be reckoned with. Good shit A&M. I took drum(set) lessons from an incredible drum teacher who, appropriately, was on A&M’s drum core in college. When I first started lessons it was not what I expected. I soon learned his vision for molding a drummer was methodically and meticulously developing a level of technique and perfection I didn’t know could exist. Oh and attitude. The first lesson he told me the difference between an average drummer and a good drummer playing the same groove is the attitude. Markus Pope, greatest percussion teacher in Huntsville and probably Alabama haha.
Was a majorette also but my director would have never allowed us to be objectives like that he had daughters and mama would have snatched me out of that line .I am thankful that they cared!
Yes, look up Alabama State videos here for the years following his Jeff Davis HS graduation in 2020. There's certainly quite a few taken of his time in the ASU lineup with the other great DMs in that group, who are just as good as our boy. (But excellence is always inspired and grown in the presence of other excellence, so I think these amazing performers all greatly inspirit each other as they work...and make even more excellence.) Justin's fun to watch, no question, but the best part of having caught the tail of his coat from discovering him back in 2019 on TV is that it made me start watching HBCU marching bands. So investing my mind in him as a white guy doing this, honoring the high art of high-stepping HBCU band marching, made this old white lady interested in all the people who built and perform the art! He helped educate me to look for more, to find the foundation of it. I wouldn't be surprised if he became a teacher.
Drum majors ah BEAST ,, the Horns definitely was blowing !!! They can't do nothing with the Jackson 5 !!! U have to compare the 2 being into music and Marching !!! Overall they did Good 💯
I have to ask, only because I don’t know. I’ve watched plenty of these band videos, how come HBCU bands have so many people always walking in front of them, cutting between the lines and from what it seems in the way? Let them do their thing and get out of the way
@BDE Handicapping You stated just what I was thinking! Seems like there should ONLY be elected videographers/camera crews positioned to film these bands. It was, to me, too many people in the way with their camera phones. This band is outstanding!
I am a 65 year old white grandma and greatly enjoy watching these HBCU bands. It is obvious these band member's skills were developed over many years long before they entered college. And IMO, just their athletic abilities rival the athletes they support on the playing field. Just curious, are these band members recruited by these colleges while still in HS and are they awarded scholarships like some sports athletes are ?
My first comment wasn't recorded but..here goes...a lot of those people are affiliated with the band and should know better...especially them knowing the band is being professionally filmed...like sister gurl carrying coats, purses, etc. I believe she believes this is her moment as well...
I have had and still do family members who have been a part of HBCU bands and I'm going to say that if people don't get out of the way of these bands, they are in for a rude awakening, they will stomp you, they will not stop, so you better just move out of their way.
I'm still waiting on that A&M and ASU joint performance or something like it. Yea it will need a lot of organization and coordination but who said it can't be done.
@@bunnyman6321 A better look than lead dude int he center all up in the one girl's ass to the right of him. At least the last guy was being respectful of the girl that was in front of him.
As much as I enjoy watching them perform, I truly hate when people are walking and cutting in the middle of everything. That ruins their performance. These people are so talented and that just takes away from their routines.😮
Frfr the entire band was a No No it’s dull no one into it and the dancer’s are definitely No No none of it is entertaining!! Naaah hard pass I can go to sleep in the stands
Those majorettes are beautifully dressed, but where is their security on both sides walking with them? This is a no no in the Sip. No security no dancers.
@@glamrcatzpb Maybe back in the seventies and sixties. In the 21st century and since the 20th century, at minimum many majorettes do not twirl batons. If your region does then its regional. In the Dirty South, not all of our majorettes twirl.

Because they are rude, damn shame they should stop these walkout without police barricades

I received my Associate Degree in Applied Sciences when I was 67. I'm also a Navy veteran. I was always told it's never too late to learn.
Nothing like these bands anywhere else in the world. They thrill me
❤😊
Drum Majors are Great !!
The Dancers are Absolutely Awesome !!
The Drum Majors were working their magic, and the camera was showing me the young ladies who were only strutting and sashaying. I love the work of the drum majors. Sorry I missed most of their show.
My thoughts exactly
My son was in band in high school and college and the discipline and commitment involved is intense. Great respect and admiration for all these students
I’m just now realizing how hard and strenuous the work is. My hat is off to their dedication and giving me great entertainment.
The cymbal players were killing it in the tunnel. Overall magnificent! ❤👏🏾 The Drum Majors always turn it out.
I love the entrance, the drummajors give me the chills.
I get the chills each time they come in with Backstabbers....every year. ❤

My grandmother was a majorette for them way, waaaaaay back in the day! ♥️
I can truthfully say that 50 yrs ago marching bands were nerds. I know, I was one of them!
Other bands made it to their seats, we still in the tunnel cut’n up😎
Them damn DIVAS! I can’t stop saying it.
Beautiful and confident ladies!
Black excellence. I am so proud of these kings and queens.

Backstabber sounded good! The dancers looked good and gave you sex appeal marching in on their routine on Backstabbers!
To me, best part of games are the drum lines, bands, and dancers!!!

This sponsors want to get there video time also. And social media right and so many channels are dedicated to the HBCU marching bands.
As a former HBCU band member, they bettet not walk in-between the band or tbey were going to be stomped.

I love their outfits!!!
They are tighttttttttttt…Lovvvvvvving this
These band students are truly amazing ambassadors for their university.
The best part is when the bands and majorettes March in after that then the game
I prefer the excitement of HBCU bands to other college bands. So much fun to watch.

Nice concept on the dancers...
dang this is legion field, which is in birmingham AL 😲my band played there for a high school game once, idk why but it was sickk
I ain gone lie I saw a couple folks that kept breaking the lines they woulda got trampled and stomped on at NCAT💯🤣
Same thing when I marched at TSU (AOB) back in the late 80's!!! We would have stumped their asses out!!! These folks today are just disrespectful!!!
Oh oh. I think I spoke too soon in my first post. The guys are awesome
WE ROCKIN WITH MARKKKKK YESSSSS
That back stabber song the truth

When did Aamu start snares start sound like that..
A FEW years back
If the ball players were forced to watch these marching bands pre-game they would all play harder.
Awesome
Go famu and go famu Seminoles ! It's homecoming time in Tallahassee FL y'all !
This is Alabama A&M. FAMU is the Rattlers, not the Seminoles.

All bands look OK. Get rid of the excess people on the sides you will become the BEST!
That’s for ALL bands
