You gotta think that Britney Spears could’ve took her own life but she didn’t, she fought so hard, went through many court battles and HER own personal battles and finally, things are looking up for her. That takes a lot of guts. Glad she pulls it through.
She did try to commit suicide once after her divorce from Kevin federline. Glad she fought back. And won.
I think her kids are the ones that kept her going, the thought of leaving them alone to be exploited by her family. They already use them as probs in pictures. The sister has tons of pictures of them in social media but her own kids are rarely shown.
They wouldn't have allowed it.
With all the control the people had over her and 24/7 surveillance, I highly doubt she would have been able to commit suicide even if she really wanted to. If I were in her position, I would have killed the dad and ran. Sounds extreme, but he would have totally deserved it.

I'm so shocked by how she was treated. As someone whose never really followed celebrity news, I still can't believed I knew none of this was going on. Because for someone that famous, it's the sort of thing you'd expect everyone to hear about. Shows how much things were hidden. I do think there's a strong case that her father should face a criminal trial but I highly doubt it will happen because then the powers to be must admit their own faults.

I can understand and agree with the sentiment, but she was first a human before she became a person. We all are/were. Persons are slaves to the U.S. corporation. When we were all born, our parents unknowingly signed our birth certificates and checked the box for “U.S. Citizen” thinking it was the right thing to do. This in turn assigned us a SSN and allowed the U.S. corporation to legally require taxes be collected and that we follow their system of laws. Conservatorships are nothing new and actually the norm for persons involved in the entertainment industry. Entertainers are crucial to the system for programming/controlling the masses by micro-managing their looks, persona, morals, values, down to the very lyrics of their songs and messaging. If you speak out of line or try and expose the system they will punish and destroy you. They will make an example of you. This is why Britney’s conservatorship has lasted so disgustingly long, but they’ve underestimated her strength of spirit and resolve and ultimately she is a powder keg that is going nuclear and exposing all their evil.

Her family (lead by Jaime) using her postpartum depression to trap her into a conservatorship is beyond cruel. Britney needed compassion, empathy, and support but instead people saw it as weakness and took advantage of the system to use her mental health against her. Britney Spears is so strong and smart, she will be free!

It’s so nice to see postpartum depression being brought up in regard to Britney now. It’s a normal thing a lot of us mothers experience & recover from. With the right support system, we go on to live happy lives with our kids & that’s all Britney needed. She just needed love.
I don’t believe she should still be in a conservatorship but it’s clearly more than postpartum depression. She exhibited the behaviour of someone who was suffering from a very specific bi polar disorder and perhaps even more. Even now, her posts indicate that there’s something not mentally right however that’s not to say she shouldn’t be able to make her own decisions. I think ignoring the severity of her mental illness is detrimental when it comes to discussing future cases.

Considering the director has said she hopes Britney likes it and that she tried to reach out to Britney however, couldn’t. Of course, she’s still trapped conservatorship so they’re going to deny any light shed on the Free Britney movement. I completely agree with you about using and trying to get views on what’s big right now. Netflix has been doing that a lot lately. I want people to be aware of the situation worldwide and Netflix will give that opportunity because the other documentary was more aimed towards America but as far as budget wise and using her goes, as much as this seems good intentioned she will benefit only by reaching more audience and hopefully freeing her once in for all this fall other than that, financially speaking or using this situation for clout it is not in Britney’s favour. I’m more interested in Britney being free finally, and that people involved in this are charged. This documentary is said to not speak about Britney’s 2007 breakdown but more so the situation around the conservatorship. After, when she’s able to own her money again and finally gets her life back that’s when finance should be of concern unless her lawyer finds a way to charge everyone for money laundering and get her money back somehow. I don’t even know if that’s possible.

THIRTEEN YEARS is longer than most Prison Sentences for actually committing a crime, and in this case, the crime was committed against Britney and she has paid for it in more ways than one. To be frank, most conservatorships are not designed to help people, but used as a means for others to control/use their money. Notice how few fight to keep others in a conservatorship unless they are using their money to pay for it. The fact that Jamie Spears was making a percentage of Britney's earnings, is utterly vile.

He was worse for her than anything she might or might not have been doing to herself, keeping in mind that her parents were primarily responsible for her getting into the business in the first place. well, this was filmed before and during the lawsuit. because the conservatorship was still going on, they still had the power to decide who she can speak to or not. there are a lot of legal things around this we don´t understand unless you went to law school. Regardless of that, she is not able to choose her doctors, buy whatever she wants at the grocery store or buy coffee without permission. Simple things we take for granted, basically.

She was bullied for years by the media, her family, and the so call celebrities that tried to remain relevant out of her suffering. This people are responsible for pushing Britney's emotions out of her limits, and dragging her to a conservatorship that she never needed. She needed time to recover, she needed to be left alone. I will openly admit that when the free Britney movement started, I was not aware of what a conservatorship was. I was 15 when she was put under Jaime’s thumb legally. I didn’t understand. And for a while, I didn’t believe that someone so high profile could be a victim like this.

I've never understood how you can legally bind someone to a conservatorship without setting out an exit strategy from the beginning.
There's no exit strategy bc there is no good intention from the start ! Initially conservatorships were created to be used on people who were in such bad shape that they would never even need an exit strategy but it has morphed into a way to turn young female celebrities into slaves. The article written by Ronan Farrow for the NYT on Britney's case revealed that Lindsay Lohan and Courtney Love were both seriously threatened with a conservatorship as well, and there are probably others out there too it's nuts...
Because I expect it's like a Deprivation of Liberty in the UK, in that you have people acutely unwell with little to no chance of getting their capacity to manage their lives back before they die. There's no backstop or exit strategy because for the usual cases, there's never any need. What's happening with Britney Spears is horrifying.

The makers of this documentary did an incredible job. The research, and the people interviewed make for compelling listening, and makes you wonder how someone so well known could be subjected to such an ordeal in the 21sr century. It's truly horrific how Britney has been psychologically abused by her own family.
Even though the music I listen to is mainly rock and electronic, I've always had a soft spot for Britney. She's a terrific entertainer, and I enjoy many of her songs. I have nothing but respect for her and hope she finds freedom, peace and happiness at last.
i remember when i was 11, 12, 13 years old and britney had her public breakdown, how my friends and i would make fun of how "crazy" she was ...
i am so apologetic for that, even though i was a kid who didn't know better about her situation at the time. she was clearly controlled and manipulated into that breakdown, and drugged against her wishes, from what i hear. i can't stand when people make someone out to be crazy in order to get control over them. narcissistic abuse.
Post partum depression is a "thing" but our male dominated culture at that time only focused on here losing her S. Maybe she needed help for a couple of years, but once she recovered, it was slavery. Her father got very, very rich off of her and her earnings. May he rot.

That is possible, however, they provided no proof to the court. To this day there still isn’t a capacity declaration filed. There are so many red flags with the court documents and filings alone.
Also, the dementia like symptoms would stop after those certain medications stop.
