Exactly but only 3yers relationship. Rest Facebook friends. She was desperate poor thing. I felt for her and believed her story. I hope her cousin rots in hell and have the saddest life ever.
@@rock_stocks_on_the_blocksSadly this happens very often. In fact, they recently uploaded a similar case of a football player who had a promising career but went through something similar and it destroyed his life.
imo she's being dishonest with the private eye story. It's very easy to find out where someone lives. She knew the whole time and probably secretly visited his residence before, but then one day she saw the wife and baby and flipped.
@@rock_stocks_on_the_blocks Nah. I know a woman who was in love with a married man. He told her his marriage was failing and wanted to leave his wife. Of course she fell hook line and sinker for it. They had an affair. He was still with his wife. She was still sleeping with him, on the promise that he'd leave his wife "soon". I can't even tell you how many decades he kept telling her this. And he was still with his wife. Anyway he started chatting to a friend of mine and she got jealous. When my friend went to get her car someone had scratched "Slag" on the back of her car, which in turn made her partner think she had an affair... When you cling to someone who you believe will make your life happy, you want it. It doesn't matter what you tell them, they won't listen to you because love is more important.
She was desperate. Why would you want to marry a man that was sick in hospital? At least give him time to recover before love bombing him. She said at the end that she wonders whether she can still be a mother. Whatever happened to adoption? I hope she gets therapy and learns how to love herself and make healthier decisions. Plus one of the major red flags was that she was with her first boyfriend since she was 18 and he dumped her in her 30s. All of the red flags were there but she never learnt her lesson. 😢
The one thing these shows are missing are psychologists to explain to us why people choose to be in these kind of situations and where it stems from, cause as an adult this makes no sense no matter how you look at it. Edit: I care more about the victim’s mentality more than that of the perpetrator simply because it’s easy or more likely we will be victims than actually acting out as ‘evil’ people. I want preventative measures because I don’t see myself inflicting pain on others easier then pain being inflicted on me. I was not trying to victim blame with my initial comment.
Maybe Dr. Todd Grande will dissect and analyze this case on his Podcast and RUclips channel. Netflix took a sensationalist take. In realty, if one were to dig deeper into the psyche of this woman and her childhood traumas, you'd see a pattern or explanation as to why someone would go 10 years dating someone they've never met in person. It's obsession. Insecure attachment issues at best. This woman isn't right.
Y'all need to listen to the podcast. It wasn't just "Bobby" communicating with her, it was iirc around 40 "people". This was wayyyy elaborate. Yes, she was naive but the scale of the scam just makes it super astonishing.
She lost my sympathy from the start. You saw him in a club and he doesn't recognise you and you mention it years later online. That was Divine intervention ignored.
I think she didn't push it when she met him in person because first of all, Bobby was hot, and IMO above her pay grade in looks as far as a mate. She probably sensed that, was intimidated by him, and consciously or not backed off in fear of being rejected or finding out the truth. But you are correct, that was what I think of as Hand of God stuff she ignored.
Thas why all the law are in favour of women because some women are just dumb. This time you cant blame men. Because the victim and acused both are women.
I kinda understood. She felt too pressured to get married at that age so she probably was too deseprate. I also came from a very pressuring family and society so I understood where that came from.
watched it and completed it just now. how could someone fake it for 8 years?? the fact that she typed messsages to her sister sitting right next to her is horrible. not just kirat but bobby , sanj and their families are huge victims of this case. especially kirat, like the emotional toll on her???? great documentary
No one is a victim. If I decide to turn on the stove burner and put my hand on it.....over and over again, am I a victim. At any point these people could stop taking calls, delete profiles, and end it. They didn't. 10 years??? At someone point, you have to blame yourself.

You have the wrong understanding clearly. It was around 3 years. Doesn't make it much better but that detail is enough to discredit your silly comment.
This was in 2010 and catfishing was a relatively new thing that was happening. People were not as aware as they are now. I still think deep down she knew something was wrong but she didn't want to face it as she was blinded by her dream of love & kids. I wish her well & i hope she finds true happiness someday.
Well, not really. I understood she is 44 now so that makes it closer to 2020, the 3 years of active catfishing would be somewhere between 2015 and 2020. Catfish the tv show premiered in 2012, so people were pretty much already well aware of catfishing by 2015.
@rediettadesse2828 oh no, sorry that happened to you! I think it's so cruel. I hope you're ok now. It can happen to many people so don't blame yourself. All the best. 🕊 😊
I feel for her, definitely rolled my eyes a few times but you can see how the pressure to live her dream life with someone from her close knit community had her acting desperate. If she thought better of herself no way would she accept the crumbs she was given as a form of a relationship. Whether she was naive of not, her cousin is an absolute weirdo for doing that. Its disturbing when u think about it.
This is all because of patriachy which lies to women that they must get married and have children as if women are born ONLY to be s*x and domestic slaves to male for life 😮 Women need to boycott patriachy and man made religions 😮
You are wrong, the crazy thing is he was not from her community as in living wise. I will give her the benefit of doubt that she was obviously for like 6 months to year, but like wtf carry’s out a to year relationship without ever meeting the person obviously obviously there’s something wrong with her. She was also in a 15 year relationship before that didn’t work out so there’s something wrong with her.
Please stop shaming the victim. Do you really think she doesn't already feel horrible and stupid? She is brave enough to tell her story because she KNOWS that there are others out there who could fall for this sort of thing. Good for her for doing that. No one is a victim until they're a victim.
I've fallen for it , yes there's lot of us that r gullable, she's nit the one causing harm on others so she deserves sympathy. Thanks fir your kind words , ppl r cruel
I fully agree with you, but looking for empathy on YT is a pretty futile exercise, especially when a woman is involved. Looking for it will just wear away at your own compassion. Stay kind
The problem for me is, they use up so much of police time and wa t to restrict freedoms on the internet because they are so unbelievably stupid.. like we are all as dumb as them. Not the only restrictions of freedom we are undergoing just because some people don't have the brains they were born with.

The real Bobby and his wife are the real victims, and it could've ended in even more tragedy with some deranged woman stalking them and coming to their home. It would scare and confuse the life out of me if some stranger wailed my child's name out and said she had an attachment to her. How intense and creepy that entire scene must've played out. I feel sorry for Bobby's family and what they had to endure from this desperate woman. I hope Assi and Simerin have since gotten the help they seriously need.
He didn´t say anything about this, but I hope he removed his photos from Facebook and all social media - people should not post pictures of kids and families - this is insane...
This exact same profile with this exact same comment on another video too. A few more profiles with pics of dogs😂😂😂. This is all simran fake profile. Come on girl. Go get some help. You psycho
The desperation behind being lonely, pressure of marriage and settling down, the vulnerability of trusting easily. That cousin has some nasty beef towards her.
This has to be fulfilling a deep psychological need because how can you be in a whole relationship having never met in real life. Are people just ok with simulation lives? I can’t even do long distance for this reason. It doesn’t feel real. It doesn’t fulfill my tangible concrete reality. I wish the focus were less on being a victim and more on analyzing why some people are especially vulnerable to this kind of manipulation

@@sofek25 Thank you, yes I did come across the voice thing. Wow her cousin did overtime in that sick prank or whatever she was doing to Kirat. However as a woman wouldn't you want a man who wasn't in this predicament?? Not being funny or insensitive to those who do stick by those in similar situations, but she didn't even properly meet this guy in the first place. She could have said no to a relationship anytime at the beginning.
What her cousin did was evil but there were plenty of red flags. Sometimes people see what they want to see. At the beginning of the documentary Kirat tries to come across as secure but it is obvious that the pressure of getting married and having children affected her judgement. I thought it was odd that she spend so many years on and off with a boyfriend who got "cold feet" about getting married. "Bobby" also had commitment issues. Two divorces in a span of about three years is not a good track record. Not to mention the outlandish excuses for not seeing her in person or on a video call.
@@sy_dianne5224That's what I don't think we'll ever really know, but I can only guess it's jealousy. At the end of the day, she was a very happy socialite with a job she loved.
@@pinkishdiamondzmaybe the cousin loved her for years? We don't know. Or she's just really a psycho because the effort to betray/scam Kirat was insane.
@@sy_dianne5224 Kirat is a sweet and lovely girl which you can clearly tell, we dont know much about Simran apart from the fact that she catifshed her for 10 years. There was also a line right at the end of the documentary about something happening to Kirat when she was in school which plays a big part. There was clearly childhood trauma which the parents are partially to be blamed for by putting indirect pressure for her to get married. Within the family there are jealous cousins and other family members who probably wanted her not to get married. It's not like she was a loser she had a life and things going on. Simran should be the one exposed here and i hope justice is served
@@rock_stocks_on_the_blocks well, think about it. What reason did Kirat have to not believe it? She knew her cousin (Simran) was real. She knew Simran‘s bf JJ was real. It’s not far fetched to think he would add her. Bobby and Kirat were friends at first and you don’t need an ID check for an internet acquaintance you talk to occasionally. She met him at that party in Brighton. So she knew he existed. They didn’t get together until way after three years (or even more?!) of knowing each other as friends. She had no reason to believe he’s not real. This whole witness protection thing is sus but if you think you’ve known someone for so long, you don’t get suspicious easily. I understand it’s rather hard to put yourself in her shoes but think of all the victims of love scammers and other catfishers (yk this phenomenon has its own tv show). They all fell for it. Add the pressure to marry from her community. Maybe she was lonely. Probably more gullible than many other people would be but that’s nothing you can blame her for. And back then, catfishing wasn’t as well known and ultimately it’s not her fault someone so cruel betrayed her like that.
Bobby and his family went thru identity theft which didn't cause much damage to their family. Kir definitely took all the damage from this elaborate scheme. Starting from so many years ago as just friends.... Then slowly going deeper. Simran is a sick mf. I hope she gets what she deserves

There was a part of her that didn't want true intimacy! Ten years of no physical contact and she became totally obsessed! She needed therapy, not an online fake boyfriend!
She's got insecure attachment issues most likely and low self esteem. To allow yourself to date someone for 10 YEARS, without ever seeing them?? Not even 1 video call? This lady has issues.
Saw half an hour of the first episode of this series. I immediately felt no empathy for the woman who is the subject of the show. The fact that she knowingly befriended a man who is married and having intimate conversations/exchanges with him through Facebook just sends all kinds of red flags. Have some decency and do not engage in “intimate friendships” with married people only to lure them or be lured by them. It’s called cheating. And that is agonizing for the innocent party. Seriously.
Even if the podcast doesn’t dive much more deeper into it than the documentary, the little details it provides make this story completely and utterly unfathomable to me
Really? I kind of knew it was the cousin the second time she mentioned her 😄 At first I wasn't sure if it was just her or her boyfriend also but when she said Bobby lost his voice and couldn't speak I knew it was just her (since the boyfriend could talk to Kirat in a male voice if needed).
I noticed in the documentary that Kira is smiling and looking very happy when she talks about Bobby 😮 Does she think that he is for real even now?? She has been catfished for 10 years and making these smiles when talking about him, just weird.
Agree noticed that too. I'm sure the producers directed her to speak in the present tense and that makes it a powerful documentary but those smiles are definitely odd
It was the same in the „Tinder swindler”. I think looking back at the times when you were feeling happy can bring back the good feelings even if it was all fake. But I am not 100% sure how it works, I also find it weird
The producers tell you to do that. They ask you tell the story as if it's happening now so that we can see the story unfold as she experienced it, instead of giving away the ending at the beginning. I am sure it was incredibly difficult for her.
Everyone in the comment section is victim blaming Kirat, just like the police did. Her story is sad, but the comments are even sadder. Let’s not forget she was surrounded by people and even her own family pressuring her to find someone to get married and they were even looking forward to meeting ‘bobby’…
Urgh no I’m Indian and I had pressure to get married to Don’t use having family pressure to get married as an excuse She is no special then any other Indian woman who has pressure and they are not silly enough to fall for a con like her
She was a victim but MUCH less so than the real life Bobby and his family. It's hard to have as much sympathy for Kirat because she was so blinded by her own wants and needs that she couldn't see the forest from the trees. If you replace Kirat with just the average person, things wouldn't have gotten so far...hence the lack of sympathy. I think she does have to share some of the responsibility in that case.
Her aunt said that she rejected tons of marriage proposals from REAL decent men. But she rejected them all, because she had to have the tall, rich, handsome playboy... despite the redflags, for example - Never actually hearing, seeing or touching him in 10 years 😂 give me a break!
I work in psychology. Anyone who says she is stupid or gullible is a moron themselves . Or that she is vulnerable with low self esteem. Most people would have fallen for this for several reasons 1) the fake profile was based on a real person she had met and had connections too 2) the messaging all started with very normal and believable things for some time before getting quite outlandish 3) most normal people would not dream that another human being would go through such extraordinary lengths to dupe them, i.e making up to 30 different characters, all to corroborate the lie
Not one of us unless we’ve been through something like this will ever know how we’d each react! I hope through sharing her story and experience she begins to heal. Her family seem to support her greatly. Kirat is right though, she gave the best years of her life to an untrustworthy family member who betrayed her in the worst possible way imaginable. If Kirat ever reads this, please don’t lose hope on finding love and a family. I’d my son when I was 46 There’s lots of time! 🤗
Ok, let's assume for a second that hypothetically Bobby was a real man and not her disturbed cousin. He would still be a twice divorced cheater who fathered a child with another woman while in a long distance relationship with Kirat. Why would you settle for someone so inadequate that is cheating and lying when you aren't even married. The catfish wasn't the main problem, her extremely low self esteem and inability to take action was. That is what really trapped her, not the cousin with the 60 (!) fake accounts. Not all humans can defy tradition, I get it. But after maximum 2 years of online relationship and Bobby not coming to ask the blessing and permission from her parents, she should have dumped him. She was decent looking, with a job, educated and nice parents, why not just let go of the online loser and ask from your parents to find a nice man in arranged marriage and be happy? I agree with the comment that said that deep down she didn't want true intimacy.
I still don’t understand how this younger generation can be catfished. I’m 60 and my mom told me in the 70s that if you talk to someone on the phone and you don’t cap eyes in 2 weeks shut that 💩 down right there How does this generation let themselves get scammed so easy ? It’s a mystery

I have just listened to the entire podcast. The lack of countability on her part and the plethora of family members shaming you to be privy to the fantastical, narcissistic narrative of this mentally, unsound nutcase is repugnant. I just watched it and would’ve never suspected it was Simran 😢I think Kirat’s mistake was that she was way too naive and gullible. She was desperate to be loved yet she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Simran was jealous of her career, confidence and lifestyle.

So they made a Catfish episode of MTV and tried to make it dramatic and cinematic. This girl played herself for 10 years.....and now needs MORE attention???? What a sad person
Those who criticize her choose not to listen to her story properly. Imagine: when a statement given by an xyz person (doesnt matter if its the truth or not) is corroborated by 10 other people who you know in real life then ofcourse you'll believe it. And dont forget that this happened when internet culture was very very different from ours today, and even today we have people falling into internet scams.
She has agency! She made choices of her own volition. Even in the beginning. Who in their right mind dates someone for 10 YEARS, without ever meeting them in person??? Not even a single video call?? Cmon this lady is dumb as a doorknob. She allowed herself to get hustled. She played a role in this charade.
@@amyyyamy good for you. But all kinds of people exist in this world and not everyone's like you. Some are more intelligent than others. If youre smart enough to corroborate stuff then you should be smart enough to be able to understand this
People are saying not to judge her because her story is different but it's literally a cookie cutter catfishing story with the usual lies. Claiming that he was a doctor, that he got shot, that he was in witness protection, that he was in the hospital and the fake profiles that go with these lies - his "doctor" and "witness protection agent" DMing her on FB ...so I don't think the brightest people are recommending this. The "unreal plot twist" is literally that it was her jealous cousin behind the account. She figured that out in a week after hiring a private investigator... So why didn't she do that for 10 years? It honestly makes me believe this was a hoax between her and the cousin to get famous.
You would think she would have gotten to the truth sooner, but I don't think it's a hoax. She seemed to be really wrapped up in all of it for 10 years. I think she wanted so much for it to be true that she ignored signs and went into deep denial after a certain period of time. It's harder to face the truth as time goes by. It's only when there is no other option left, but to look at the full truth, that the penny finally dropped. I hope she finds happiness some day. We all make mistakes.
@@missf7727yeah this case is just like those one where the old grandma and grandpa refuse to accept their 25 years old model looking online partners isn’t real. They just want that fantasy to be real so hard, refusing to see any red flags… In this case, she wanted so bad for this guy ( handsome, doctor and from a well known family in her home country to be into her)…that probably wouldn’t be interested in her in real life to like her.
@monicacai Ya I think sometimes when you want something to real so much, you can overlook things you normally wouldn't. I do think she is lovely lady and could get herself a handsome guy in the future but in this case it just wasn't to be.
I just finished watching and all I can say is HOW CAN YOU BE SOOOO GULLIBLE LIKE THAT, KIRAT????! She must've been so desperate to have her own family, desperate to be loved. But what her cousin Simran did to her was beyond EVIL. Hell definitely has a place waiting for her.
I saw it. When she started talking to person, he was married and she knew. When he got engaged again she knew. Why did she stay stuck on him? She really was alone and only had one person in her life that she was talking to online.
I think its horrible to see how many insensitive and cruel people are in this comment section. Yes she was a grown woman who can make her own decisions but she was a victim! You have no idea how it is to live in a society who measures your success by your family status. Getting married and having children is a big deal in her community. People are constantly in your throat judging you. That defines your idea of a success a lot. Leaving that all behind usually means losing your family in the process and most people are afraid to do that and dont even know how. Plus she was in an on and off relationship previously to this whole thing for a long time. Obviously this wouldnt happen to a person who is emotionally stable, and by that i dont mean shes crazy or stupid. She couldnt even talk about these things to her mother and must have felt enormous cultural pressure. If you're under that kind of pressure most of the time you dont see the red flags, especially not if you dont have anyone in your life who ever guided you in terms of relationships or love. This was back in 2011, catfishing and all these crimes was just in the making. Please have some empathy, dont judge a person if you dont know their circumstances. Its all logical to you until you are in that same mental space. My heart goes out to her, I hope she will find true love in her life.
One thing that really bothered me when watching this… The way she recounts the story with smiles and laughs as if it’s was all a fond memory. The expressions on her face look as if she still has stars in her eyes about it all. I hope she’s getting therapy.
Yeah, it’s the same as any reality show. They want her to be going through the motions of it as if it were in real time and she’s still awestruck by it. It wouldn’t be as engaging if she’s giving it to you from the miserable conclusion point of view, you wouldn’t be able to suspend disbelief in order to join in on the ride…
i think Kirat had what they call "limerence". pretty sure she also found it all kinda weird in the beginning but she was lonely so she filled in the gaps about bobby in her mind. no facetime, no speaking, no meeting, he isn't "allowed" to talk to most people but CHOSE HER so she felt special. the mysteriousness let her create a perfect lovestory in her head. she was in love with the fantasy and daydreaming.
All of you lack a lot of empathy.. clearly her insecurities, the way she was raised, her fear of loneliness and her need to be loved and have a family got the best of her. It’s all fun and games until something sh*tty happens to you and others start making fun of you.
Honestly, yes. How many cults have existed and continue to exist? How many people get scammed on a daily basis? There are expert manipulators out there who prey on any possible human vulnerability. It's what they live to do. We all think we're above that and "oh it could never happen to me." I truly hope it never happens to anyone else because what this woman lived was horribly cruel. All we have to do is learn from her mistake and have some empathy for what she lived through. That's it.
9years of catfishing. I feel sorry for her but she was very trusting and naive. That Simran girl is a real life devil, how can you do something like this to your own flesh and blood?
9 years and not one video call, not even meeting his parents when there were talks of getting married, and the whole insane narrative of "being shot and part of a witness protection program" did not raise any alarm (scam) bell ??? Girl, the onus is on you not just on your deranged cousin.
As a grown adult, she has every responsibility for what she has allowed to happen to her. It's really difficult to feel sympathetic towards someone who considers themselves such a victim in this when she had the ability to stop it at any time. I do pity her for obvious reasons, but her participation in this is 100% what made it grow to such proportions. I realize she has to live with her choices as well, but there has to be something deeply rooted in her that is very wrong to waste years of her life on a fictional fantasy that even a child would most likely not believe in after so much time has passed.
I think that this is really about women being under pressure to achieve a conventional family construct within a specific time. It’s clear that in this culture and in many cultures that if as a woman , you’re unmarried by a certain time, you’re undesirable, an outcast, unworthy of dignity and respect. This is less about “catfishing” and more about being diminished by that oppressive standard.
She had declined several proposals her mother said. She just wanted that handsome guy, but she wasn't pretty so she just wanted to believe in her unrealistic love.
I think that's what this whole story comes down to. Before I watched it my first thought was being judgemental towards her. But I don't think if it would have ever developed this way, had she not been desperate about getting married and feeling like 32 is too 'old' to be unmarried. It's almost like she felt 'Bobby' might be her last shot
The real question is "Why did someone fall for this story?" As someone else said , the supposed villain is named "SIM - RAN", as in run by a SIM?? Yeah, right! 😂
To anyone judging how can this happen, well it happened. I have seen the documentary and i find her genuine. I wish she finds love and peace. She faced an unbelievable brutal fraud Spoiler alert. Her cousin a girl created 60 fake profiles for this. Then she told her that the guy got shot in a gang fight and in the USA under witness protection program and should not make video calls or photos. Since a mutual friend, her cousin vouched for shooting and coma, she believed. This is a case of utter sadism 😢
OH MY!! In my 59 years on this earth, it never ceases to amaze me how gullible some people can be. I personally know two highly educated women that were nothing but fools when it came to men and relationships. Unfortunately, one died by the hands of her mate who then took his own life. When will we learn??
I think her cousin Simrar is a lesbian, he secretly liked her, he became obsessed with her and did everything possible to fulfill the fantasy that was in his head. How can someone make up such a lie just to simulate a relationship with someone?
How could you even put your full trust on someone you never met ?!!!!!! How could someone ruin its own life for someone she never even heard his real voice ?!!
All the people in the comments slamming Kirat is disgusting. Victim shaming at its finest 🤮 The real asshole here is the cousin! She is a certified psychopath F-ing with her cousin this way. She obviously knew her cousin’s weaknesses and played on those. Also has no one in this comment section heard of limerence??? I’m going to guess Kirat experienced some sort of extreme trauma in her childhood and also suffers from love avoidance with limerence sprinkled in. You don’t know what it’s like until you’ve walked in someone’s shoes. People are such assholes - absolutely zero compassion for what this woman went through. To me - this woman is a badass for telling her story. She probably knows people will throw stones yet she is still trying to bring awareness to those who might be susceptible to this type of manipulation. Cheers to her and may she live the rest of her days happy!!!! As for her cousin - well karma will take care of that.
Simran's identity was concealed. The irony. And she denies it? Insane. I watched this because, this week, a guy from Ireland, was jailed for 20 years for causing the suicide of a child in America by catfishing and for abusing hundreds of others. The child's father killed himself 18 months later, not knowing why she did it. 1. The mother, sweet and lovely as she is, horrified me when she said that people in her community would look down on her if Kirat didn't marry. Leave that community. If Kirat wants a child, maybe she can have her eggs frozen. The real Bobby and his family are victims too, but Kiran was the target. Please do not allow that freak any further negative power over you. I hope cat fishing becomes a criminal offence. May you continue to thrive. X

imo she's being dishonest with the private eye story.

But I am not 100% sure how it works, I also find it weird
yah cuz the story is fake, it's to far fetched to be real.
The producers tell you to do that. They ask you tell the story as if it's happening now so that we can see the story unfold as she experienced it, instead of giving away the ending at the beginning. I am sure it was incredibly difficult for her.

How does anyone fall for the witness protection bit? Like HOW??!
I work in psychology. Anyone who says she is stupid or gullible is a moron themselves . Or that she is vulnerable with low self esteem. Most people would have fallen for this for several reasons
1) the fake profile was based on a real person she had met and had connections too
2) the messaging all started with very normal and believable things for some time before getting quite outlandish
3) most normal people would not dream that another human being would go through such extraordinary lengths to dupe them, i.e making up to 30 different characters, all to corroborate the lie

I heard the podcast, a teen I can understand as their brain hasn't developed fully, but a grown adult for 10 years having only phone and skype conversations with someone who did not reveal themselves. Surreal
No a teen I don’t understand either I would have never done that and especially to someone I love
Was obsessed with the podcast; it was very difficult for me to understand how this happened. It was YEARS.
As an Indian ,
im Ashamed we're getting scammed 😂
😂😂
But by another Indian, and very clever. Simran really surprised me. The skill...
British Indians love scamming people
😭😭😭
😂😂😂😂
That witness protection thing was the first red flag !
About the fifth but yeah, should've caught it way sooner.
No video chat and the weird squeaky voice smh like come on now
I love catfish/scammer shows. May have to resubscribe to Netflix if they keep it up.
Netflix is not good! they have a ton of struggle crime series and they are thrown together and poorly produced ... save your time and money
Have you watched the Ex roommates or ex partner docus on NF, crazy!
I have just listened to the entire podcast. My darling, I am aghast that you’ve experienced such atrocities, frustration and a ten year period of a life lived in real terms shattered by a psychopathic fantasist. The lack of countability on her part and the plethora of family members shaming you to be privy to the fantastical, narcissistic narrative of this mentally, unsound nutcase is repugnant.
I am mightily impressed, not only by your story, career choice and intelligence but by the fact that you were so candid and stable throughout your whole narration.
I wish you so much luck and love, I have a feeling that you shall find it.😊
If you have watched Catfish on MTV you will understand some people out there are insane. This one woman thought she was in an online relationship with Chris Brown!!!!!!
And don't forget the one who thought he was in an actual relationship with Katy Perry!! 😮
I just watched it and would’ve never suspected it was Simran 😢I think Kirat’s mistake was that she was way too naive and gullible. She was desperate to be loved yet she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Simran was jealous of her career, confidence and lifestyle.
Let's bring back loving yourself in the last few months of 2024
Play with a woman and break her heart and she will look for answers. I bet she got to the bottom of it and found ‘Bobby’ . And I will be there with popcorn.
Me too
Just wait, the Bobby reveal is INSANE….there’s a podcast of the same name that was really good.
Avoid all spoilers. You will lose your mind if you go in blind. Trust me
@@unholyjebus Thanks. I will. 🙏🏾
True, but she was blind enough to let this go on for 10 years before she wised up. 10 years!
So impressed with Kirat and her family. REALLY IMPRESSED. Also impressed with Bobby & Sanj for telling their story and NOT victimising Kirat. I am SUPER impressed with Kirat telling her story. If you object to this... get yourself assessed for psychopathy. Really GREAT documentary!
I’m impressed that you felt impressed with your comment, really impressed in fact, so impressed that I forgot why I decided to leave my own comment which has now also impressed me. Do you understand why I am impressed? 😁
I don't understand how people can be so damn naive. How can you talk to a person for 10 years and never video chat with them.
What a mind trip to have a virtual relationship without ever needing to see, hear, touch or smell the other person or have any activity together.
Pure spirits get taken adavantage of!
If you still, getting catfished, it’s completely your fault at this point
Yea lol in this smartphone era
Someone in witness protection doesn't get to go on FB and contact his friends and family 👀 He was sot several times and has a stroke she has never met but wants to be his first wife This scenario could have ended with some simple deductions His ex Sanj gets pregnant was that before or after the stroke? Tou get yo help choose the baby name.of your love rival??
Third wife
😂😂I was thinking that was wild🤣🤣
I listened to the podcast. Was hooked. Absolutely unbelievable true story. Looking forward to seeing this story
So they made a Catfish episode of MTV and tried to make it dramatic and cinematic. This girl played herself for 10 years.....and now needs MORE attention???? What a sad person
You are the sad one here. Be a little bit more sensitive, like you have the emotional intelligence of her psycho cousin
Um hell no I don’t. Most people just don’t dare to ask questions and go against the majority.
@@amyyyamy sorry, your comment is so confusing, cant understand what youre tryna say.
@@Blobby22117 I was trying to say I don’t automatically believe something just cause others say it. Corroborate it. Whatever. That’s just very naive.
Claiming that he was a doctor, that he got shot, that he was in witness protection, that he was in the hospital and the fake profiles that go with these lies - his "doctor" and "witness protection agent" DMing her on FB
...so I don't think the brightest people are recommending this.
The "unreal plot twist" is literally that it was her jealous cousin behind the account.
She figured that out in a week after hiring a private investigator...
So why didn't she do that for 10 years? It honestly makes me believe this was a hoax between her and the cousin to get famous.
Wow it makes sense now
You would think she would have gotten to the truth sooner, but I don't think it's a hoax.
Wow, that's actually very believable. And how much money are they making now for their story?
@monicacai Ya I think sometimes when you want something to real so much, you can overlook things you normally wouldn't. I do think she is lovely lady and could get herself a handsome guy in the future but in this case it just wasn't to be.
I just finished watching and all I can say is HOW CAN YOU BE SOOOO GULLIBLE LIKE THAT, KIRAT????! She must've been so desperate to have her own family, desperate to be loved. But what her cousin Simran did to her was beyond EVIL. Hell definitely has a place waiting for her.
I sympathize with Kirat. I hope she finds the love and happiness she deserves - after all, don't we all?
10 years of this?! No RED flags for u at all??? Madness girl, just Madness.
I'm sorry this woman brought this on her self. So so many alarms she was to loved up to nothing
It's hard for me to feel empathy for her. 10 years? She knew it was a fantasy and she wanted to keep that fantasy.
I saw it. When she started talking to person, he was married and she knew. When he got engaged again she knew. Why did she stay stuck on him? She really was alone and only had one person in her life that she was talking to online.
And when he told her he had a child lol
Amen…
Thank you for understanding
One thing that really bothered me when watching this…
The way she recounts the story with smiles and laughs as if it’s was all a fond memory. The expressions on her face look as if she still has stars in her eyes about it all.
I hope she’s getting therapy.
Thats just how a documentary directed, in case you dont know 😅
Yeah, it’s the same as any reality show. They want her to be going through the motions of it as if it were in real time and she’s still awestruck by it. It wouldn’t be as engaging if she’s giving it to you from the miserable conclusion point of view, you wouldn’t be able to suspend disbelief in order to join in on the ride…
i think Kirat had what they call "limerence".
pretty sure she also found it all kinda weird in the beginning but she was lonely so she filled in the gaps about bobby in her mind. no facetime, no speaking, no meeting, he isn't "allowed" to talk to most people but CHOSE HER so she felt special. the mysteriousness let her create a perfect lovestory in her head. she was in love with the fantasy and daydreaming.
i guess bobby is exactly his type. especially she saw him at a bar in brighton. and she created this fantasy on her head.
All of you lack a lot of empathy.. clearly her insecurities, the way she was raised, her fear of loneliness and her need to be loved and have a family got the best of her. It’s all fun and games until something sh*tty happens to you and others start making fun of you.
So her parents are to blame for the way they raised her, for her insecurities and her need to be loved??
Honestly, yes. How many cults have existed and continue to exist? How many people get scammed on a daily basis? There are expert manipulators out there who prey on any possible human vulnerability. It's what they live to do. We all think we're above that and "oh it could never happen to me." I truly hope it never happens to anyone else because what this woman lived was horribly cruel. All we have to do is learn from her mistake and have some empathy for what she lived through. That's it.
Sorry, I have absolutely no sympathy.
Why sorry, you don't have to feel sorry for your inability to feel empathy for the victim..
This sleeping on the line sounds like some teenage bs. Don't want to victim blame, but this trailer didn't do her any favors.
If you don't want to victim blame, then don't, because your comment sounds extremely insensitive.
The full doc didn't do her any favours either. She was so blinded by her own wants and needs that she missed the forest from the trees.
@@shougokawada8491it is teenage bs. What adult does that?! Not one I know of.
I am speechless I have no speech....like how is this even possible 😳😳
She just wanted that handsome guy, but she wasn't pretty so she just wanted to believe in her unrealistic love.
excellent take, n ur absolutely right
I think that's what this whole story comes down to. Before I watched it my first thought was being judgemental towards her. But I don't think if it would have ever developed this way, had she not been desperate about getting married and feeling like 32 is too 'old' to be unmarried. It's almost like she felt 'Bobby' might be her last shot
Did you not watch Catfish: The TV Show?
😮 Okay… I’m feeling like we are being catfished by this documentary! 😂😂
I can’t figure out if these are 2 different people or not 😭😭😭
Bingo!!! That’s EXACTLY what I thought! Things aren’t adding up at all…🤔
"Bobby Jandu" why'd someone fall for this name ?
The real question is "Why did someone fall for this story?" As someone else said , the supposed villain is named "SIM - RAN", as in run by a SIM?? Yeah, right! 😂
It is a real name
As soon as she said 10 years i came st8 to the comments. Now i don't need to waste my hr.
How can educated women be so naive in today's world??!
To anyone judging how can this happen, well it happened. I have seen the documentary and i find her genuine. I wish she finds love and peace. She faced an unbelievable brutal fraud
Spoiler alert.
Yeah only happens to stupid people like her
@@AKking27loooooooool you really made me laugh. I am sorry to have to say this, but that lady is half-witted
Not even my young kids would believe such a story....come on.
OH MY!! In my 59 years on this earth, it never ceases to amaze me how gullible some people can be. I personally know two highly educated women that were nothing but fools when it came to men and relationships. Unfortunately, one died by the hands of her mate who then took his own life. When will we learn??
The cousin is a Sociopath
I think her cousin Simrar is a lesbian, he secretly liked her, he became obsessed with her and did everything possible to fulfill the fantasy that was in his head. How can someone make up such a lie just to simulate a relationship with someone?
After watching it I knew I had to come here for the comments lol
"They're saying he's turning blue." that line took me out 😂
I hope i never ever get caught up with my career to the point where i become desperate in my romantic life.
Okay, the number of excuses this " Bobby " character made up on why he couldnt see her is huge red flag number 1
This had my whole family shouting at the TV 😂
