- To all those people saying 10" quads are a pain to tune, this footage is with zero manual tuning. Apart from the bounceback on snap moves, it already flies like a dream!
Fixed the GPS reception issue by moving it to the VTX's 5V regulator/BEC & cleaned up the FPV feed by moving it to the PDB's 10V regulator. Ended up using the oscilloscope & measured 45-50mV ripple on the PDB's 5V regulator whenever the RX was connected to my radio.

I went from a pretty good-flying 10" on a CC3D board with their F450 preset loaded, to a Kakute F4 V2 running Betaflight and the defaults were *awful*. I couldn't even get it off the ground. I feel like it's going to require a bit of work to get it flying like I had it with the previous flight controller.
If you apply the relevant UAV Tech presets & the quad still doesn't even fly on Betaflight, that would generally indicate there is something physically/structurally amiss with the quad - too much flex in the frame (highly likely if it's an actual F450 frame), loose motor bolts, etc.
Good footage and confirmed “prop in” is also good in 10” quad
I have a question, I bought Hq props too and it come it 4 washers, where should I put the washers? (Under the prop or above the prop, or…both)
I'm beginning to miss my 10"quad which is gathering dust. Gotta repair it asap
There's never been a better time to play around with something like a 10" IMO, the recent developments in Betaflight make it so easy!
The firmware has come such a long way. What's next for this one, 3 axis gimbal out the front for the full-on 2014 look?
Nah, if I want a gimbal I'll just buy a DJI drone. This is strictly just for fun, no serious plans!
