ENFP problem: The reason we tend to procrastinate/abandon projects is because we grow so mentally exhausted from our own imagination, that the exhaustion actually transcends to become physical so we feel the urge to "rest" and watch RUclips (as I'm sure some of you are doing right now - as am I). Trouble is, RUclips can be an awfully inspirational and stimulating place online, and that just feeds our imagination further - and before we know it, we've re-read our favourite Harry Potter book, watched 2 Pixar films, made 3.5 pieces of artwork, learned All Star by Smash Mouth on piano, and have researched something obscure about Ancient Egypt, and we STILL need to hand in our paper (of which we've only written 2 paragraphs) by 11:59pm tonight.

I find this hilarious; I taught myself perfect pitch (which IS possible, I swear) and now I associate different pitches with different songs. So when I’m happy, I may squeal with excitement, then realized I squealed in C#, and then start singing “Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton in a Leslie Odom Jr. voice because the first note is C#. And if a witness were to be in the room watching, they’d be wildly confused. 😂

me being an enfp, i'm always attracted to the silent type. but the the interest fades away really because we're too different. but i find i'm pretty compatible with someone of the similar vibe BUT more responsibe and a tad grounded.
I agree. Honestly I m like, okay this girl is silent, lemme talk to her and see if she has a problem. I mean, with time she definitely starts talking to me but the level of openness we expect from them, never gets fulfiled. It always feels like 'oh am I missing something, why isn't she opening up' and like, I have options but holy fuck I get super attracted to intro types. Solution is simple: we must lower our expectations, learn to concentrate a lil more on our own lives and not be always seeking out to be someone's emotional ventout. It feels good, but with time, u will understand that it is kinda taxing on urself too. And I clear things with my partner. Now, my current isn't so comfortable to talk in public but will 10/10 can say stuff on texts, so I clear stuff up and we both change a lil bit and meet at a middle ground. I mean, that's how relationships work. Both have to mutually adjust a lil bit and focus on growth in our respective careers or studies or anything we want to achieve. And yeah, it's okay to show that u are horny, don't keep it inside. Even if u have expectations with ur significant ones, tell them that u expected this and this, let them know so it doesn't get built up in ur heart. Cuz we can be all hearty and sweet whilst having a stone crumbling down our hearts

I’m writing a novel and my main character is an INFJ, while I’m an ENFP! I love this! I have a few similarities with my INFJ, but honestly, I think she’s just better than me in so many areas. As an ENFP, I LOVED a lot of these. especially the adopting introverts ones. However I didn’t like a few that displayed enfps as airheads. One of the biggest misconceptions about us is just that, when really we are some of the most deep and philosophical people you will ever meet. I also didn’t relate to the “ENFPs exist for comic relief and sidekicks” one. I’ve been told by a weird amount of people that I give off “main character vibes” and that my life is like a story. Any other ENFPs have the same thing? ✋
Isn't the guy at the table a different type, maybe an INTJ, who will always see ENFPs that way and never see the truth??? I have officially scored INFP and later ENFP (although INTP first of all but though I have a very high score in logic I looooove feeling and empathy so I believe I have Fi and am somewhere along the NFP continuum), and I know we're deep and philosophical. We may express it whimsically -- a wise choice in many traditions! -- and not everyone has the radar for that, unfortunately (for them). As an ENFP I also wonder about my E but this makes it make sense. I always wondered if I’m an introvert (well Ambivert, Extrovert is prob my strongest point) because technically I do get energy being by myself. Then I realize I just entertain myself a lot in my own in my own mind/space.
I think i'll never know if I'm an introvert or extravert. "Are you an introvert or were you shut down so many times when trying to be yourself that you adapted by acting like an introvert" Introversion is my comfort zone. I feel safe and don't have to fear that people actually find me annoying and dont want me around. And I have a really good relationship with myself, spending hours doing an internal conversation about the meaning of life.. after all I'm the only one who truly understands me right ? Extraversion is my source of happiness. Whenever I'm in a good mood or feel bolder that usual and act like an extravert that's when I have the happiest moments. That's when I feel like I'm tasting life for real. That's what I would like my life to be like all the time. Moments with people are literally my engine.. And as I grow and become more confident i begin to act more like an extravert. And I like that! So what am i in the end lol When I do the french test I get infp, with the english one i get enfp I do relate more to enfp's tho X) i'll go with that If anyone relates and has thought about it as well, please feel free to add to my thinking :)

@@globalheartwarming totally forgot about that comment haha! Now I'm pretty sure that I'm an extrovert, at least I know that I'm the happiest when living my life like one. Key points for me were the fact that most of the time my loneliness was more endured than enjoyed, when I was living more like an introvert. I didn't like being an introvert, and I think it is a very clear hint that I'm not. You could be right about the factor of cultural differences, maybe these culture have slightly different definitions for introvert and extroverts. Or maybe it's because in places where I speak English I tend to be more of an extrovert, bc it's in contexts where I feel more free, confident, less judged. While I speak french in my daily life with people I've not always felt confident around. So even tho extrovert and introvert don't correspond to confident vs shy, the tests still quite take that into account as "symptoms" to know which one you are. However, it feels good to know we're several people having the same questionings, hope things will get clearer for you too!

me being an enfp, i'm always attracted to the silent type. but the the interest fades away really because we're too different. but i find i'm pretty compatible with someone of the similar vibe BUT more responsibe and a tad grounded.
I agree. Honestly I m like, okay this girl is silent, lemme talk to her and see if she has a problem. I mean, with time she definitely starts talking to me but the level of openness we expect from them, never gets fulfiled. It always feels like 'oh am I missing something, why isn't she opening up' and like, I have options but holy fuck I get super attracted to intro types.
Solution is simple: we must lower our expectations, learn to concentrate a lil more on our own lives and not be always seeking out to be someone's emotional ventout. It feels good, but with time, u will understand that it is kinda taxing on urself too. And I clear things with my partner. Now, my current isn't so comfortable to talk in public but will 10/10 can say stuff on texts, so I clear stuff up and we both change a lil bit and meet at a middle ground. I mean, that's how relationships work. Both have to mutually adjust a lil bit and focus on growth in our respective careers or studies or anything we want to achieve. And yeah, it's okay to show that u are horny, don't keep it inside. Even if u have expectations with ur significant ones, tell them that u expected this and this, let them know so it doesn't get built up in ur heart. Cuz we can be all hearty and sweet whilst having a stone crumbling down our hearts

As an ENFP, I LOVED a lot of these. especially the adopting introverts ones. However I didn’t like a few that displayed enfps as airheads. One of the biggest misconceptions about us is just that, when really we are some of the most deep and philosophical people you will ever meet. I also didn’t relate to the “ENFPs exist for comic relief and sidekicks” one. I’ve been told by a weird amount of people that I give off “main character vibes” and that my life is like a story. Any other ENFPs have the same thing? ✋

I have officially scored INFP and later ENFP (although INTP first of all but though I have a very high score in logic I looooove feeling and empathy so I believe I have Fi and am somewhere along the NFP continuum), and I know we're deep and philosophical. Introversion is my comfort zone. I feel safe and don't have to fear that people actually find me annoying and dont want me around. And I have a really good relationship with myself, spending hours doing an internal conversation about the meaning of life.. after all I'm the only one who truly understands me right ?
Extraversion is my source of happiness. Whenever I'm in a good mood or feel bolder that usual and act like an extravert that's when I have the happiest moments. That's when I feel like I'm tasting life for real. That's what I would like my life to be like all the time. Moments with people are literally my engine.. And as I grow and become more confident i begin to act more like an extravert. And I like that!

@@globalheartwarming totally forgot about that comment haha! Now I'm pretty sure that I'm an extrovert, at least I know that I'm the happiest when living my life like one. Key points for me were the fact that most of the time my loneliness was more endured than enjoyed, when I was living more like an introvert. I didn't like being an introvert, and I think it is a very clear hint that I'm not.
You could be right about the factor of cultural differences, maybe these culture have slightly different definitions for introvert and extroverts. Or maybe it's because in places where I speak English I tend to be more of an extrovert, bc it's in contexts where I feel more free, confident, less judged. While I speak french in my daily life with people I've not always felt confident around. So even tho extrovert and introvert don't correspond to confident vs shy, the tests still quite take that into account as "symptoms" to know which one you are.
However, it feels good to know we're several people having the same questionings, hope things will get clearer for you too!

@@polly9736 ambivert is kinda hard to pull out. Plus no one is fully intro and no one is totally extro. We all are somewhere in between. Hence the term doesn't really make sense to me
When you’re screenshotting so many things that u can’t enjoy the video and you’re running out of time but u refuse to stop screen shotting them because you relate to them all and it’s frustrating now
So does anyone else blast music in your headphones and walk around making up an entire universe in your head, creating the friends you want and the person you want to fall in love with, maybe even a little drama that is based in your past trauma (because being an ENFP you can’t tell people about your trauma and bring down the mood so you have to find another way to express it😫) and you swear by your heart that you’ll turn it into a book but you just can’t really find where to start so you never write, and after you’ve created 8 books, 4 spin offs, a novela for every Holliday and you’ve already chosen the actors for your Netflix adaptation IN YOUR MIND, you realize that this world has become so ingrained in you that it is part of your life and you get emotionally distressed thinking about the fact that your perfect little universe will never come true? This can’t just be me right?
