Anyone who cares at this point, but BestBuy has this laptop and the 14" larger screen version for $120(11.6") and $110(14"); yes 14" version identical but cheaper . 4GB and Windows Mode S (can be changed to normal Windows if needed) are limitations. Leaving Mode S with 4GB would be challenging, but it is technically the "minimum" memory for normal Windows.

the f7 key is missing the hotkey for turning on keyboard backlighting
When I remove the back screws it doesn't lift off, is it glued? I was going to add and a 550GB Crucial NVMe M2 SSD . I don't want to back the case.
You have to pop the clips. Usually use a spudger
do you have a battery drain issue with this laptop even when turned off? Mine is exactly this model, ASUS L210/E210M I have turned off fast boot, fast startup but it still draining like 1% per hour even when fully shutdown.

Great, used to teardown and clean my laptop from a soda spill that turned into basically acidic syrup. Although, I need an answer for this, how do i put the aux jack back into the machine? I took it out to take the battery out but it won't go back in. The best it went was tilted, and I don't remember it being tilted.

Hey man, I wanna know your opinion about fake RAM sticks. In my country fakes are everywhere. I can find fake RAM sticks online which are obviously fake, they make up like 90% of the search results but people still buy it and say it works. I mean if it works and its 1/2 of the original price why not right? Should I buy? Thanks
Do you mean counterfeit? I avoid that when I can because I have had it damage my stuff before.
Can you give the last bit of the model number? It's L210 but knowing Asus, they will make variations of the L210 (like many other brands)?

they are under the heatsink, they are just chips soldered to the system board. The same chips you see on a stick of ram.

Better with SSD! I had a 500GB WD installed and it runs a lot better than when I first bought it.

As far as I know 0 of them can. Get a used x270, which can upgrade the ram, and has better specs all around.

There is a slot for an NVMe under the back cover.
Hi, i can't find, the m2 slot supports sata (with the correct key) or only nvme?
I only tested with nvme. But there is no reason to buy a sata over an nvme, unless you are trying to use something you already own.

You can't. This model does not have keyboard back light. As far as I know, this option is only available on the 15.6" model.
Can this laptop support Samsung nvme pcie 3.0 x4 500GB SSD or?
any nvme pcie drive will work.

you can for files, but you won't be able to install a lot of applications to it because it's seen as "removeable" storage.

Where is the CMOS battery?
I didn't see it. I assume it's on the other side of the system board, which I didn't fully remove.

Not a physical one. I believe it has a firmware version.
