I hadnt watched any of the interviews with Lee, but wow what a smart and passionate guy. He injected so much heart into what could've been a boring, bad movie. Loved Twisters and cannot wait to see what he does next.
I love that he embraced his nostalgia for Oklahoma and affection for Spielbergs action flicks and 90s blockbusters- he created something that was a beautiful joy to watch!
Lee Isaac Chung's respect for movie making, meteorology, and the first movie is very evident in Twisters. It's an incredible film and it's awesome to hear in-depth about the passion behind the movie!
This guy is legend, can tell he's following his genuine passion and love for the project, keeping it legit, not cheaping out on methods and materials to just get a film done. Seeing this film.
One of the best movies I 've seen in a while. Wasn't expecting much since it was a sequel. This movie was better then the first one. The first one was fun but it didn't have the drama and science. Love they used country music in soundtrack and actually filmed it in Oklahoma, which seems appropriate. Fantastic movie!!!
I saw Twisters and I thought it was pretty ok. I had nothing bad to say about it. But this added a whole new layer of understanding that made me appreciate it a lot more.
i watched the movie yesterday in imax and i had a BLAST. it was so entertaining!! i’m so glad i found this interview too… i love how he’s into movie making ❤
That is really cool to see War of the Worlds 2005 was used by Mr. Chung as reference. It and Twister are easily my two favorite movies of all time, and it ups my appreciation for Twisters all the more.
My daughter loved this, even though she was in town during the Rogers Ark tornado. After I was trying to tell her that we don't get tornados here. Great film and will watch it again this weekend but this time with my granddaughter.
Absolutely Genius, Love the Wizard of Oz and War of Worlds Reference. I can even see the Jurassic Park reference when the car is backing up reversing with the tornado after it.
Lee is such a great person, he is such a smart guy and passionate person, I hope he directs a sequel or something to Twisters. Really enjoyed the movie! Cannot wait to see what he does next!. He made twisters such an enjoyable movie and such a great experience for me and everybody.
I loved this video! Please never stop making this series with directors explaining their movies. I really enjoy hearing them talk about their projects and what inspired them. Thanks!
So interesting to hear him talk about the movie. I am planning to see it tomorrow. This video is making me really look forward to it. Love his attention to detail in this.
This was such a fun movie and I am so obsessed with how Lee Isaac Chung is bringing back the 90’s blockbuster! Hot people saying “this theatre’s not ready for what’s coming”?! No notes.

Loved the film! Smart characters, beautiful and exciting cinematography, and clever writing that have every major character a nice arc.

정말 영화다운 영화였습니다. 영화관에 있는 시간이 너무 행복했어요.

Im glad Lee made this film his own and didn't just copy what Jan De Bont did.
Great movie, visuals are amazing.
I’m glad he didn’t do too many digital fx I love those kind of movies.
It was a phenomenal movie. Watching this makes me love it even more!
It's a very fun movie. I'm glad it doesn't try to be a remake of the original. The characters are compelling and the VFX are great.
No wonder the naders looked so similar to some real ones
Twisters is a great moive. Go watch it!
Twisters is my new favorite movie ever made ❤❤❤❤ love it and they need to make more and make it a series , it was great 👍
He did way better than Steven Spielberg
BRILLIANT! 👏👏👏
Not too shabby
War of the Worlds = masterpieces
Should have asked Helen Hunt to be in the sequel as a cameo
Awesome movie! Definitely recommend
Can we get his list of videos?
I love this film! 🌪️👍😎🇺🇸
DAKLOTA JOHNSON ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
“What was your inspiration behind this direct sequel to an existing movie?”
The inspiration was a 1996 film called Twister...
I bet you felt very smart writing that
China leee
You disrespected Helen Hunt. The movie is junk.
What?
