As a real life storm chaser myself, this movie was incredibly accurate in a lot of ways, the science in particular was very accurate! Thanks Glen, Daisy, Brandon, and Anthony for bringing my passion to life onscreen!! I have a similar experience with storms, I actually am terrified but also extremely interested in them, having that juxtaposition of both being scared and drawn to them shown on screen was extremely validating to me!!
There are things that aren’t accurate, I think Reed Timmer specifically mentioned the “twin tornadoes” that they were actually multiple vortices from the same parent tornado (so not individual “twins”), and also the “twins” in the movie are spinning different directions which isn’t possible IRL. As a storm enthusiast (all storms, not just nader’s) I really enjoyed it, more-so because I’m not a technical enthusiast so all the jargon went over my head. Even though Timmer has been chasing for like, ever, he said that it was a great movie and other storm fans like Jake Swegle of Swegle Studios also gave it the green light. I think the stormchasing community has been pleasantly rewarded with this film, ofc there’s some unrealism because it’s a summer blockbuster, it’s gonna be “fake” in some areas to make it more sensational and interesting. Both films are awesome-I PERSONALLY like Twisters more. Just got a VHS of Twister too!
I was in several background scenes in this movie and I want to say that each of these actors were very professional and fun to work with. And especially Anthony, as we were in one of the airport scenes and he walked over to me and introduced himself before the shoot. What a gentleman. This movie is going to be a hit!!
Damm I feel like crying 😢 because those people like fan tornadoes 🌪 like we love them how they make their best movie they take their time since old movie didn't go well they run 😔 but they stopped tornadoes they got scared Bill 1999 they just hidden but now they going destroying tornadoes before wiped out city
Yes, Glen Powell is my new favorite actor and he's not hard to look at 🔥 He's been in alot of movie's also since Top Gun 2, Anyone But You, Hitman (finally comin to Netflix Canada) and Twisters
"Find this road. It's like Bob's Road!" I use this line from Twister whenever I get lost driving somewhere and don't know the name of the road I'm on. I'm looking forward to seeing this new movie, and am glad it gives props to Twister!
The best way I like to compare the movie is Twister/Jurassic Park to Twisters/Jurassic World. It’s a standalone story in the same universe/timeline with new characters and a few references from the original, it’s the only explanation I have for Dorothy V.
I went to go watch twister for the first time ever and I got diagnosed with ADHD like a month ago and I was obsessed with it. I cannot take my eyes off of it, and it was one of the best videos I ever watched and I kept like come on guys keep on going like it was so entertaining and I hope you guys can make another one soon. With each other.
This storm chaser is already seeing the film before its release date…. BUT! This interview really makes me want to see the film even more now! Very well done and I feel optimistic ❤️⚡️🌪️
The moment that I find most iconic in the first movie was the one with the tractor trailer being thrown out of the twister. My childhood nightmares of being chased by a semi came to life in the movie theater that day.
As a trained NWS spotter / chaser I cannot tell ya'll enough just how well done the new film is. Saw that original 28 years ago and have my VHS still. The new film has lived up to the original.
It’s an awesome film. Loving all these interviews and stuff, I feel that this film will become a classic later on. Even non-storm and non-tornado enthusiasts are going to see this film which is awesome, it’s the same kind of crowd Twister attracted. Twister and Stormchasers really exposed this “bugs under a rock” community to the general public and now with Reed Timmer and Team Dominator on RUclips and this film, too, I hope there’s even more in the younger and older generations that discover weather and begin to understand why us enthusiasts-not just chasers-care and are fascinated by weather so much. Just a great film, don’t miss out on seeing it in XD!!!
I watch the new twister it was amazing and my dad didn’t want to go because he thought I would get scared (the first one had blood and when I was little I had a phobia of blood) I didn’t even get scared it was such a good move (best movie I watched in movie theater in a while)
The more I look at it, Tyler Owen’s is based of Reed timmer, same energy, same stuff, rockets, live streaming chases, helping people, more I see it he’s based of Reed timmer
I remember Rocket Power from the 2000s. Good times, one of the non-Loud House underrated Nicktoons apart from the enjoyable big animesque hit Avatar: The Last Airbender. Technically, I'm more as an My Life As a Teenage Robot girl but the thought it counts. 😅😅
"How is 'Twisters' related to 'Twister" and how does it raise the stakes? Glen puts it in the best way in his point of view overall, and even though nobody is related in this film from the original, I honestly thing that its raised the stakes many, many years later that Daisy Edgar Jones' character, who we see is as a enthusiastic weather lover/scientist that came across the research and tests that was done back in '96, and asked herself, "Okay, we have this test and this data, what can I do with it? What can I do with the knowledge I have and make a difference now in this time, almost thirty years later?" And honestly, with climate change affecting the weather patterns, higher populations in the US that can be affected by tornadoes and hurricanes in general, this whole plot line can become inspiration to new generations of meteorologists to follow down the same path. As a kid, I was amazed by the original film, but now that I've seen this movie, it really does bring a lot of opportunities in the future. Sometimes, science fiction can be a science reality/fact if you have the guts and the desire to change the world and save lives.
Just watched the movie. I'd give it a 6/10. Some parts were just silly, like setting off fireworks in a tornado instead of working on a better alert system.
I just saw the cast says this is a Sequel. I dont think so as the previous movie is not referenced in this movie at as in terms of continuation and none of the former cast returned. This seems like a Reeboot as simular scenes from Twister are seen in this film.
the Original fim was made on a budget of 88-95 Million dollars. Twisters is made on a budget of 200 Million Dollars. double the budget of the original film. hopefully it was put to good use.
Daisy wearing red shoes like Dorothy!! Love that detail ❤

Damn Glen Powell going crazy, he's promoting two movies at this same time, this and Hit Man

Y’all I can’t Glen Powell is ICONIC! I love him so much ❤️😂
If there hadn’t been a red dodge in this movie, it would have been criminal!! So happy to see the main character driving one.
Supposedly it’s THE red dodge from the first movie.
Well not just a red dodge but a white one to
Naz Pérez is legit, always delivers

I agree-the cow is iconic. Daisy is not wrong.
Glenn should be the next Indiana Jones.
That’d be a really good idea.
Wow, agreed!
totally agree
😯 Yes!!! 😍
His facial features remind me a little of Gary Oldman.
I love how daisy goes from a British accent to an American accent!❤
Good Interview, enjoyed the conversations, I am gushing over this film cannot wait.
This storm chaser is already seeing the film before its release date…. BUT! This interview really makes me want to see the film even more now! Very well done and I feel optimistic ❤️⚡️🌪️
@the twisters here look so fake.
I actually saw this film today (written on 7/19/24) and it is better than I expected. Great work!
Was the best Tornado movie Ive seen so far well done!!! I hope they make a second one with the same cast!
The moment that I find most iconic in the first movie was the one with the tractor trailer being thrown out of the twister. My childhood nightmares of being chased by a semi came to life in the movie theater that day.

I love the movie twister two thank you guys for making it
Fantastic interview!
Daisy's American accent is getting better. Maybe because of her consecutive movies featuring American characters?
The more I look at it, Tyler Owen’s is based of Reed timmer, same energy, same stuff, rockets, live streaming chases, helping people, more I see it he’s based of Reed timmer
Thank god Tyler doesn’t scream incessantly like Reed… 😑

Looking at the trailer, the story is pretty much the same. This interview where they say this one has twins. So did the OG
The rodeo and motel/pool scenes were filmed just up the street from where we live.
