The Next Generation of PFD | Astral Indus Unboxing

Astral has made amazing products, and I’m super excited to get on the water with the new astral pfd. Astral has make the green jacket, blue jacket, and now a high float play jacket in the indus. PFD’s have struggled to be fashionable, form fitting, and high float. I’m excited to see if astral nailed it with the new Indus.

Mine shows up tomorrow. About 10 years ago the green jacket came with a top load, snap closure front pocket. That was my favorite because it was lower profile than the clam shell. It also had the knife pocket above the pocket.

Really tempted cause I like the higher flotation. But I will miss the open clamshell pocket on the front and adjustable shoulder straps.

Yeah those are two big items to walk away from. Time will tell what I think about this PFD, but 22 lbs in a comfortable setup is a game changer.
