Sunshades on rafts are a controversial item. I think it all comes down to personal preference and what type of rivers you are running. I personally don't use a sunshade that often, but I really love them when I have them on my raft. i don't believe you should have these on class 3 or class 4 runs. I use these on rivers that I feel very confident in zero chance of swimming and flips.
