    Why don't you hypnotize your camera to focus on your fingers

    • @GenericJcHandle
      @GenericJcHandle 7 лет назад +67

      Actually, the difficulty in following her fingers cause by the lack of focus is partly what helps this work. You overload your conscious trying to make sense of the pattern, which allows her to pattern-interrupt with the clap. In person you would still be unable to get a clean focus due to the wiggling of fingers.

    This was great! I'm currently studying hypnotism and am particularly interested in rapid induction. This worked on me perfectly. It was hard to keep my eyes open until the clap. A few moments after the clap, it occurred to me to open my eyes and I did, but then quickly closed them and walked myself into deep and head to chest, etc. This was also a perfect affirmation of things I've been learning (such as the need to continuously create/ continue trance). Thank you!

    Hi Alicia, I tried this one again, I felt rlly sleepy and tired, and my eyes were really heavy in the beg, but I didn't immediately go under when you clapped your hands, but I could still feel myself going under, and then your positive suggestions still rlly helped me, I feel that this is the first time that suggestions have ever rlly worked on me, and that this is the first time I actually felt like I was hypnotized, thanks a lot Alicia!

      You are been hypnotized, but need to maintain deepening. Otherwise you will be back to normal fully awake state. Deepening is what you need to learn.

    • @nispelsm
      @nispelsm 7 лет назад +7

      The issue you have may be similar to what I experience. It is something in the back of your mind basically "alerting" you that it believes something is wrong, and you need to wake up.
      It is a form of hyper-vigilance, and getting past it can be a big pain. Sometimes, it stems from a general lack of trust, and in other cases, it is a conditioned response found in sufferers of PSTD and those who were physically abused as children.

    OMG. I was watching the fingers and thinking how silly it all is, and considering stopping the video so I wouldn't waste my time. Then I was waking up only because I'd banged my arm hard against the desk slumping over! I've always been quite vulnerable to hypnosis, and I do have a dissociative disorder, but still I was really amazed it could happen from a 3 minute video.

    I did not fall fully asleep, but my eyes and mind shut for a second. If this video worked on you, you can switch yourself off even yourself. Just sit comfortably, clear your head, relax and start focusing your vision on any point slightly above your head. Take a few deep breaths and focus at your chosen point looking almost throught it. Then slowly raise your hand and tap yourself in your forehead with your fingers.

    Alicia, I'm the New Yorker who's more into the relationship between Sacred Geometry and Hypnosis or is it Hyp-'Gnosis' than anything else ! You don't know me, but from what I can tell, you are an ethical hypnotist. I would suggest you go back to your part of the world and set up shop in Queenstown, or Wellington , New Zealand ! I'm something of an amateur climatologist as well. NZ has the Antarctic to its direct south (as does Australia) and 1,000 glaciers large and small which Australia doesn't have ! So in other words NZ has more air conditioners for when it begins to heat up ! Just a reco !!!

    • @AliciaFairclough
      @AliciaFairclough  8 лет назад

      +iPodFayne All inductions are easier in person. This particular one would be pretty hit and miss in person too as not many people respond to this kind of induction. All inductions are "easier' in person because I have the ability to change what I'm doing depending on the way the 'subject' is responding. Physical touch can help a lot too with some people :)

    Alicia, hypnotist doesn't use the butterfly induction because it looks flashy. The fingers wiggling causes confusion to the conscious mind making it easier to suggest the word sleep to the participant. This of course after doing a brief pre-talk to the participant before using the butterfly induction.

    • @AliciaFairclough
      @AliciaFairclough  8 лет назад

      Lol literal much? Please, continue to blow us all away with your incredible knowledge.

    • @reggierodriguez6546
      @reggierodriguez6546 8 лет назад

      I'm not claiming to be a know it all. I'm just stating facts from John Cerbone, he uses the butterfly induction. He has mentioned that it causes confusion. This gives the hypnotist the ample opportunity to suggest the word sleep, while the subconscious mind "door" are slightly opened.

    • @AliciaFairclough

      It does cause confusion. I said its 50% flashy.

    • @Guilmon470
      @Guilmon470 8 лет назад

      It's just easier too. I've been out of the hypnotism game for a few years now but back whenever I did it regularly this was always easier (especially for people new to being hypnotized) than a hand drop or anything else. Still not quite sure why, I guess the confusion is a factor. If you have someone do the hand drop, they're full of anticipation and that may be causing some worry -shrugs- .

  • @jodier.6332

    Light trance state. I've done a lot of hypnosis, self-hypnosis, guided meditation, etc. so I'm pretty susceptible. My eyes wanted to close, and after allowing them to close, I was mildly distracted by their insistence to continue left-right, almost rem-like, motion. Interesting and novel (for me), but not deep enough to get me terribly far I think. I'm not sure your "negative suggestion" in the very beginning was the best intro for me to the technique. Thank your for the interesting aside however!

    this worked on me,but it may not work for anyone. wether you can be hypnotised by a quick induction would depend much, i think, on an individual's responce to hypnosis.it worked for me, because i have been doing self hypnosis for years,& am hypnotised,every day, at some point,so i am very fammiliar with hypnosis, and i am well used to being hypnotised, but it might not work on someone, who is new to hypnosis&, though curious about it, might be a bit frightend of actualy getting hypnotised.

There are a few medical terms which I've wondered about....diagnosis and prognosis, both of which have, retained their 'G', I've sometimes wondered how hypnosis (hyp-Gnosis) ended up losing its ''G' and where it went .. the best to you. Hi Alicia ! You still look great ! (even better actually, which some may be a little jealous of ) Yes, I do find that I am very much in a trance buy this induction, but not really in any type of sleep, as I feel that I could wake at my wish, but why would I want to leave your video pror to your finishing it ?? My head does drop at the sleep command, and I can still hear you.
    I'd like to hear your opinion ( I do realize that we are all differentl, and that it is very difficult to say from so far away, but...) to see if you "feel" that I am correct about actually being in a trance, or am I kidding myself ?
    Still I find that by listening to your lovely voice, and your kind encouragements, it seems like a great way to start any day !! So please keep these videos coming, as I am sure that a lot of people are greatful for what they bring to them (OK ! Us !!), and how you help to make this a better world. You almost certainly do not hear that as often as you should, and I hope you really know what you mean to people from almost everywhere ! Lucky us !!
    Ok !! Somebody is playing wih " Planet Earth's Gravity Control " as my head is being pulled towards the floor, despite my efforts to fight it.
    ( Might you have any talents in that field ?) ( lol !! ) So off to bed.
    Thanks !

    Ive just started learning, and thus I was probably trying too consciously to take in *how* you were moving your fingers and processing the effects that were happening on me, to let myself actually slip into a proper trance state, but I can totally see how this technique is the most effective i know for someone who wants to learn about hypnosis, rather than professionally be a hypnotist. Question: What are you looking for in a your targets eyes, and how do you vary the butterfly's flight depending on this feedback/input?

    I was sure this induction couldn't work on video and was ready to comment this way...but I fell in trance! :) It's even funnier to know it doesn't work on you! :-D

      +tkjt54 Thanks very much for letting me know. I'm going to do some videos about suggestibility and types of suggestibility. I think the upcoming videos will be really interesting for everyone who gave this a go. This kind of induction is definitely straying from what I usually do and what I consider myself good at but I also love challenging myself so you'll see more of this kind of thing in the future :)

      +Alicia Fairclough Well, usually your hypnosis are wonderful...and this is too! :) I'll wait the next videos, then...just remember to wake me up, I'm quite suggestible, as you can imagine! ;) Thank you for your videos.

    I understand. The price wasn't an issue and I know time frame would be a problem but not that much. You are 12 hours ahead so I could of made that work. If you can't take in any more clients then I understand. Just wanted to make sure I didn't say or do anything inappropriate to cause you not to consider me for s client. Thanks anyway. I could of been a repeat client as I enjoy your videos and have already been hypnotized by you

    RSIs do make me feel relaxed and work for me like normal hypnosis, but there's never any "rapid" change in the state of my awareness or level of relaxation. I fall into a heavy state of relaxation at the same, gradual rate as a countdown, visualization, guided relaxation etc. I did enjoy this though. Just contributing input from my experience.

    i went down but was somehow still completely aware of what was going on / being said? i think im in the middle of physical and emotional suggestibility so i have trouble recognizing whether or not im really in trance but this felt good and sweet. thank you!

    so I gave this a go a week maybe two weeks ago, and as far as i know it worked like a charm. tried again just now and still worked the same. so I assume this style works well with me. now if only i could find files around that used a rapid form of induction rather than the really long drawn out ones. i find that i get bored before anything happens. or maybe im just doing it wrong. :/

    • @AliciaFairclough
      @AliciaFairclough  8 лет назад

      +usa1327 I think it's great that you have taken the time to find what works for you. I'm looking at doing a new app (although this will be a while away yet - it will have a rapid induction hypnosis). If there is a subject that you really want a video for, you could look into commissioning one from a hypnotherapist or just keep searching :)

    I didn't sleep but when you said sleep my head wouldn't stay up and kept falling towards my chest, I have never been hypnotised before as I am a hypnotist in training and watched this video to learn the induction but I'm not sure if this would work for me, but could you please tell me if this works to input commands as that is what I usually do but would love to receive some feedback from either you or other commenters such as myself

    I really wish this, or any hypnosis, would work for me (I'm not one of those those annoying people who claims he can "resist" hypnosis), but it simply doesn't. At the clap for example nothing happens at all, not a sausage :( Even on longer sessions I always feel I'm "humouring" the therapist by going along with the process but more so that they don't feel bad lol! But my state of conciseness remains as normal and my inner dialogue and analysis continues as normal. :(

      Try different videos and different hypnotists. And remember that although we do our best with video to replicate the experience of a one on one session, there is only so much we can do. Possibly seeing someone in person would yield a different result.

    • @simplesimon9798
      @simplesimon9798 8 лет назад +1

      +Alicia Fairclough Thanks :) I understand it's tricky to cater for everyone in a video. In fact I did see someone in person a couple of years ago ago - but with exactly the same result! I tried another of your videos last night though and I had a better result (will comment directly on that one if you like, rather than here) :)

      +Alicia Fairclough It was the Deep Sleep Hypnosis video. It went quite well and I felt very relaxed but I had a problem towards the end - I think my breathing had become so shallow and slow (which was nice) that my emergency system kicked in and cranked up my heart rate and breathing again, giving me a kind of adrenaline hit lol!
