That's overwhelmingly liberal NYC, the woke DA and woke judges will let them go quickly without bail. Perhaps it will stay on their records, but it could be wiped clean as it was with almost all of the 118 Columbia University protesters who were arrested. The guy who recently slashed the 11 year old girl in public in NYC had been arrested and released 20 times. The NYC cop who was shot and killed recently when trying to get an illegally parked car to move - the shooter had been arrested and released 21 times and the guy who was in the car with him had been arrested and released 14 times. The light on crime policies there got that cop killed. Many cops have left, why any have stayed is a puzzle but word is many are not happy. Perhaps some of the cops who have stayed are liberals too and just like the DA and judges they also think soft on crime is the way to go. Even though it makes their own jobs as cops so much harder and riskier when they have to keep arresting so many of the same people over and over and over...

From what I can see, the protesters were walking peacefully across Manhattan bridge; and it's assumed that they requested a permit to protest. Most likely they did, and they were turned down, in which case it would not be a legal protest. In any case, I could not see any rioting or violence, as you claim.

Blocking a bridge should be a felony mandatory 10 years. There was a case where a doctor could not get to a surgery and another woman had a diabetes episode and the ambulance couldn't get to her for 2 hours.
