Excellent explanation of the concepts involved! This should have millions of views. There's just so much value in this channel. I'm going to watch all of your videos.
Thanks, this is an outstanding explanation of the importance of RGB values. I added a BW preset based on your numbers. Tested patches of R,G,B,C,M,Y via BW adjustment using your numbers vs Channel Mixer Gray without moving the sliders. Dragged the color picker over color patches converted by both methods. For some swatches color picker #'s were equal, for others a very small deviation. Using the BW adjustment allows the user to get into the weeds re: color to BW. Channel mixer is more of a down and dirty one shot method that is fairly acceptable but might not suit specific design needs.
the way you explain is from space and your voice tone is the sweetest thing i've ever heard. I love your videos so much .. You are one of my favorite teachers. Do you happen to have any paid courses?
Thanks for the explanation. Will you do a tutorial on different ways to convert to BW? I read somewhere that the channel mixer/grey gives also good results
Hi Kellog, thanks for the suggestion! I'll add that idea to my list. There are almost infinite ways to convert a color image to black and white, so it is definitely a big topic.

Thank you so much for very very useful tutorial.
Thank you sooooo much for this so useful tutorial. 🤩 I'm looking for a good way to understand how tint and shades are made from a given color.
Thanks Senjos! That is a good idea from a topic...I'll add it to my list!
@@TechnicallyTrent Great, looking for it 😁
