She won't fight a male MMA fighter of the same weight because of the muscle advantages. Her advantage over Floyd is obvious. She's not trained to run like a pussy and punch. The fight would go one of two ways. Floyd thinks he's a clear winner because he's fighting a girl and he'd be cocky and then looking up at the lights after submitting like a bitch

like he does in every fight, runs away, makes her chase him, she takes him down and he's staring up at the lights after submitting like a little bitch.
Either way, Floyd loses. He's trained for decades on one way of fighting, punching (well, punching and running away). Anything outside of that he is not equipped to handle and wouldn't know what to do.
blk stone True. I love mma. I love Rousey. I can't stand boxing anymore and I hate Mayweather. However, Mayweather destroys her, I would say, 29 times out of 30, and that's being nice. First she has to get her hands on him, and she takes a lot of punches even from female MMA fighters. Then she has to take him down. She will take even more punches doing that. All this against a guy who has been dancing around his whole career. If she tries to bang with him, he will beat her even worse. She will probably never touch him if she tries that. Add to that the extra hormones, strength, bone density, and EXPERIENCE of a guy with how many fights? She would be crushed. Women fighting men is like men fighting lions. Comparatively, she would be fighting a beast.

She never takes pure hits. She knows she'll get hit, and her fight plan always takes it into consideration. Floyd never lands a knockout shot on her. He's too busy running away and avoiding her. NO power in a shot when you're constantly turning tail and running. He wasn't able to knock Manny out or any other fighter over the last 4+ years because his strategy is to win on points now. Hit and run. Hit and run. Hold. Hit and run. Hold. Hold. It's those "hold's" that will get him submitted.
Mind you, the fight would never happen. He'd be retarded to do it. Nothing to gain and everything to lose. If he does knock her out, "so what? He's stronger" will be the response. If he gets knocked out or submitted (very likely), then he loses everything. "He was beaten by a girl."

+shockadellick Ground game not all about strength, it's more about technique. Floyd has none in that area, or in many others either. Stand up in boxing range he tears her head off. If it hits the ground he gets choked out or his arm broken in quick order. Lot of these girls do train with guys.
And the OP post about her loss matters not at all. Some of the great boxers have lost multiple times, and there is a hell of a lot more ways to make a mistake and lose in MMA. And result of the fight is not relvant to if she would win a street fight with him. Boxers don't get taught to handle leg kicks or how to avoid positions that will lead to a submission on the ground. Thinking strength alone works when they are even wight is nuts.

There have been debates on this, and here you have one of the most powerful boxers of all making the claim that MMA is more exciting, which is why it's doing so well. It's nothing personal.

Yes an mma fighter may be able to throw some punches but its usually not with the same technique, precision and movements required for boxing specifically. Footwork is different as well. Unless the mma fighter came up as an amateur boxer before going in to martial arts, he/she likely doesn't know how to box. Cant compare Mauythai hooks and jabs to a pro boxers b. Watch the sports but most importantly go do the sports you will experience the difference and your trainer will tell you. Mikes correct ,MMA is more exciting than boxing nowadays.Not purely as a sport since that's subjective but as a package overall.Simple formula.The best fight the best in their division.Overall in the UFC there are about 50 household names that any semi serious MMA fans knows .These will source at least 50 highly anticipated fights Think boxing in the 80s/90s,every month having 2 high quality cards.Thats how MMA in the form of the UFC is nowadays.

Not to mention Terrence Crawford, Keith Thurman, Adonis Stevenson vs Sergey Kovalev, Nicholas Walters vs Rigo or Lomachenko...boxing has so many great potential matchups. MMA fans have no fucking clue and the majority of them have no clue about their own sport lol

No matter how the following comment may seem, Don King gave the best promotion and the best fights period. Shamefully, the sport of boxing has fallen due to the greed of the now promoters proliferating bullshit match ups and no incentive for competitiveness amongst the champions.
Shouldn't ever compare someone like Ronda to Floyd. Not up for discussion, when you have hands like floyd, thats all you need.
Ronda Rousey and Mike Tyson were exciting fighters. Floyd Mayweather, you can't take anything away from his smarts of being a winning fighter that doesn't take much damage.
My gripe with him is that he's found a style that is not just defensive which isn't bad, but is especially boring and exploitative of the flaws in the rules of boxing. Running, holding down the head, holding, pretending to be held, being slow to release when the ref breaks, getting on the bicycle and landing pitter-pat shots from the outside then running again.
If his style were defensive but relied less on running, hugging, stalling, and landing light shots for points, he would have the respect of the boxing world and of fight fans. As it is, he'll never be anything more than a guy that had arguably the most winningest, effective, cowardly style in the history of boxing, and the materialism and ego to match.
In a boxing match, Ronda would obviously be destroyed by Mayweather. In the octagon, Mayweather will throw a few shots, get grabbed by Ronda, and would go tumbling, where she will have mount or side-mount, and he'll get pummeled on the ground or submitted by any dozen of possible submissions. It wouldn't even be close, with maybe a 1 in 50 shot of Mayweather landing a knockout blow in the first few punches, making the rest impossible. But there is no way Mayweather would sprawl or avoid being thrown or tackled if she got her arms around him, so Mayweather would really only have 1 or 2 punches to get lucky to land to knock Ronda Rousey out.

I am sure, she will continue to improve her grappling more and more, as well as her strength, etc. Overall, keeps improving. She could KILL Cyborg one day---if and when they meet. She could quite reasonably take Mayweather or the like.

I'm a female boxer and I totally disagree with you. It's not the same if a man hits his wife, or any woman around him than if two trained fighters combat themselves, regardless of their gender. The first is abuse, the second is comoetition, sport. Don't mix them two.

IF Ronda could take Mayweather down then she could easily get an arm-bar(floyd has no experience whatsoever in bjj so he would get his arm torn off). But that's a big if. I think Floyd would have just enough take down defense from sticking and moving. Not to mention the man strength next to woman strength. So lets be real here. Mayweather would pick Rousey apart and eventually knock her out unless she could get him down which I think would be hard for her to do without eating a big punch.
Truthfully, a man in good shape and weighing the same as or more than Rousey (fighting her like she really is a man) would beat her in an mma match nearly 100% of the time. Punch her, grab her, kick her, doesn't really matter. A woman's strength in her body is equivalent to a pre adolescent ( 11 or 12 year old) boy. In such a fight, Rousey would have to close with Maywheater quickly and submit him, or choke him out. That is not beyond the realm of possibility even if Maywheather were to training exclusively in grappling during a six-month camp for a fight against Rousey. But, reverse the circumstances - say Rousey to fight Maywheater strictly within boxing rules and now the advantage goes to Maywheather by a huge margin. Anyone that thinks that Maywheater would win an MMA fight against Rousey strictly on issues of him being stronger (but having no comparative grappling experience) does not understand MMA, or grappling. Keeping a competent grappler from closing is like trying to keep a kamikaze plane from impacting an aircraft carrier -- really, really difficult.
