    The shop is looking great! Have you ever thought of tying the two buildings together with a breezeway? Then you can just go back and forth with ease. Just my thoughts though.

    Like your building, here's one thing that would behove you for longevity and structure integrity, put you in diagonal braces notched into the wall on the side with no windows..... this will give you a very much stronger wall ..... it's easy to do , just lay you a 2x4 diagonal from bottom of top corner , hold up to vertical 2x4 and mark it notch it out and nail it in ......

    • @GreenAcreHomestead
      @GreenAcreHomestead  6 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, they will connect with a 6' wide "tunnel" that will be fully insulated and enclosed. It will allow the two spaces to become one quite easily.

But every day was so great to see it go up - just like you are feeling now Hope your sons are there helping and watching the construction.
    How long did it take you to do those walls? Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and are preparing for Christmas. Blessings from central Georgia.

      Both channels get their own version. Samcraft will be more detailed and have a larger number of videos on the project. Green Acre Homestead will get the larger chunked updates and less technical info. If I didn't share this project on this channel there would be no videos for several months and it would be somewhat of a disservice to this channel's audience to not see the structure built yet see it in the background of our videos.

      Prices settled, then we were hit with inflation here in the USA, but price increases have not been uniform across the spectrum. Food prices are up anywhere from 25%-60% depending on what you purchase. Companies have also adjusted the amount of food per package to hide the inflation. Some things like copper and electrical components are very high still, while commodities like lumber have stayed steady. Nothing has returned to 2019 levels though. I don't see how it can without MAJOR fiscal responsibility returning.
