I did it!! So happy I'm crying!!! After a long time after chemo and all I finally can do it!!
Congratulations, Isabelle!! We are so proud of you!! ♥
So what all workouts go with this one. Do we do this workout for one week. Then switch to another? How many days a week?
Im doing my first 5k in Oct 2024. I loved this run. It was perfect for a beginner runner. Never thought I could do it but I did.
I am 60 and ran my first marathon 4 years ago. Now, because life happened, I am so out of shape and wanting to try again. Thank you for helping me start training again.
Thank you so much for running with us! Life can get in the way sometimes and that’s totally all right. But it’s always nice to know you can pick it back up again when the time comes! ❤️
you can do it!!! Im 68 and slowly coming back!!!! good luck.
@@irenalogan5326 how’s your training going ? I’m 63 and just do the 1st run in week one 😳🏃♀️😰

Thank you so so much for this 5k series ! I’m getting back into shape after some bad health diagnosis. But the way you are so positive and uplifting really helps. I’m ready to to run my first 5k after 3 years 👏🏾🎉
That is awesome!! So glad you are getting back into it!!
I have decided to follow this series for my cardio workouts (i do cardio 2x a week and weight train for 3). This was perfect…it was very easy for me and I loved the motivation talks throughout. My treadmill said that I burned around 180 calories and did a distance of 1.75. Also, I decided to up my speed by two for every running interval just to push myself even more😊
Yay! Welcome!! Thank you for running with us. I love that you upped your speed each interval. So awesome to set your own goals and crush them!! We will see you on the next one!
My dad bought me a treadmill for Christmas and o do this workout video everyday. I’m 12!
That’s awesome! Stay safe on the treadmill and good luck running!
@@IBXRunning thank u
For those wanting to know, how many runs per video, it’s 3 times per week. Meaning follow the same week 1 video 3 times. Rest 1 day between each run. After 3 runs move to the next video and so on and so forth.
Love this, thank you for making this video! My 10 year old treadmill has life again. 😅👍❤️
Yes! Break out that treadmill again! Thank you for commenting. We love hearing from you. Keep up updated on the workout regime!
is there a 5K to 10 K training list - after my 5ks i would like to move onto a 10K
I am 310 lbs and 5 11 and I made it!!! My first run!!!
Just finished my 3rd workout for the 1st week. With your coaching I was able to stay motivated. Looking forward to week 2. Thank you!
Yes!!! You are on your way!
It's been about a year since I've ran, so I decided to follow a Couch to 5K program, and I'm so glad I found this! As someone who is a former Peloton member, I can say that this instructor is on the same level as the Peloton instructors. She's engaging and keeps you motivated the entire time. Well done! I just finished week 1, and I'm already looking forward to starting week 2.
Just finished my first workout. It was fun and it’s so nice not worrying about the time
Sometimes it's just nice zoning out and not thinking about what needs to happen next!
How do you run without stomping your feet? I sound like a dinosaur
The mic is pretty far away from the treadmill, so don't feel bad! It's just some audio trickery.
I’ve ordered my treadmill & now I’ve found this I have No excuse
Welcome to the channel! Good luck on your c25k journey! Keep us updated
Just finished day 3🎉🎉
I used to run when my oldest was little. She’s 16 now and I’m finally able to afford a treadmill!
Thanks to your motivation I have managed to do this!
Beforehand I’d managed a short jog at 6kph max. Now I’m doing 7, then 7.4 and 8 for the last too runs!
I’ve never sweated so much!
Can’t wait for next week!!
Also any asthmatics out there? You can do this! I can!
Thank you for creating this. I've tried running, but each attempt my knees would start hurting and I couldn't continue. However with your videos, I am managing to continue running w/o knee pain. I guess I just needed a plan. By spring time 2023 in Florida, I will be ready to participate in one of the local runs. Thank you so much!
Yay!! Good luck in the local runs! Keep us updated on your progress! 💕
Loved the intervals. I'm trying to learn to run after I broke my one leg in 2 places. The intervals are making that doable. Thanks for the proper form cues. When does one progress to the next level? Do I have to achieve the upper number easily before I progress?
Oh my! So glad you are recovering! No, certainly you don't need to hit the upper number to progress. The range is just a suggestion! We recommend doing each week 3 times before moving to the next week.
I am 58 years young, overweight and a former cross country high school runner. I am determined to get back into shape and found the first work out to be challenging but possible. Thanks for the motivation and encouragement.
@@joanmullins6572 Yes!! So happy you are getting back at it! Keep us updated on your journey!
Oh my Lordy!! First time running in like 2 years & it felt amazing!! Can’t wait for Wednesday to do week 1 day 2!!
YAY!! Welcome back, Ashley!
Wow, I'm so glad I found these! This is amazing and has helped so much. Thank you for creating this series!!
Just done this workout and it wasn’t too bad at all. Found the presenter very good, just the right amount of encouragement without being over the top and good info all the way through. One question though, how many times a week would you do this?
Glad you enjoyed it! It is 3 times each week, and then move onto the next week's workout!
Do you know how many calories on average does this burn? Amazing video!
Unfortunately we aren't sure! Really depends on speed and weight of the person. Usually treadmills have an estimate of calories burned while your working out. Sorry we couldn't be more helpful, but thanks for running with us!!
Ok. I just got the treadmill. It's the 2nd lockdown and here I go for my first run.
Get at it!! Stay safe out there during lockdown. Hope the treadmill wasn't too hard to put together. Let us know how the first run went!
Update. I escaped the lockdown. I couldn't take the treadmill in the plane but I have the app.
I'll be on week 8 tomorrow.
I know I'm really late to the game in finding this video series, but dang this is WORKING! I am hating and enjoying these, I've done this one video 6 times and am gonna go for gusto next week & give week 2 a try. Thank you for making this great content!!!
The best type of encouragement honestly

WOW, this is such an amazing follow along! Couch to 5K is truly inspirational -- I will share this resource with my clients. GOOD JOB!
Thank you!! I need to do your hamstring salutations routine. I am not great about stretching and flexibility. Something to work on!
Just finished and it felt great! Can't wait to continue. 👍
Update: Done with all 3 workouts feeling good! Ready for week 2!
Awesome, Luis!! Keep that motivation!
I'm in my early 50s and have never really been in shape. I started working out three times a week, but don't seem to be getting where I want to be so I decided I would add in the couch 2 5K as an added workout on my off days. I really enjoyed the workout and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series
Wow great runalong! I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time and you guys answered my wish! Thank you so much
Thank you for your kind words! We are so glad you found us too!
@@IBXRunning for sure! Hope this channel blows up ❤️

Thank you for making this video it helped so much with my motivation and pace. It was great to have the suggested speeds included.
You're so welcome! I am so glad it was helpful!
I'm starting this tomorrow at the gym. Im nearly 50 and need to train for a 5k run I decided to do next February 😮 this will be the first time I've done running since school. January 10th is the goal to get the 5k done!!
You can do this!!!
ive been doing this on my yoga mat, amazing resource. thank you
Thank you for running with us!! Good luck on your c25k journey! Keep us updated!
My first time on this channel and I absolutely loved it. This is the first time in a long time, I went to the gym to run. You encouraged me to keep pushing and keep running. Workout completed.
I’m so happy to find you! I’ve tried several C25K and feel this plan is what I was looking for!
We are so happy you found us too! It’s always helpful to have someone there doing the runs with you (even if it’a a recording). Please keep us updated on your C25K journey!
First day of week one. See you again tomorrow! You do a great job keeping me motivated. :-)
Keep on crushing it!!
Maybe you have this posted somewhere and I am just missing it. But would you be able to tell me the schedule of this program? How many days per week and some suggestions of what to do on non-running days. Thanks :)
Hey! I don't think we posted in anywhere...I'll add it to the description. The schedule is to do each week's workout 3 times during its week before moving onto the next one. There are 9 total weeks. As for non-running day activities, it depends on your fitness level. Taking them as rest days is okay, or doing a walk to prevent tightening up is helpful as well. Or you can do an upper body workout instead! Whatever you think you can stick with!
If you are still looking for what todo on days your not running i do 5 days workout 2 rest days ..you can do the 3 days of this same day or every other day when your not dping these look at lucy whyndum read short workouts full body that great for core to ..can stretch and do one or 2 of those her videos include more starter level and or if have bad or week body parts and the other part of screen is the more advance so you can take it your own pace 😊 or can do 3 days of this and 2 strength full body even if its not long will help .
Day One let's goo!! Thanks for uploading Couch To 5K. Will reply back in 8 weeks.
Yes!! Good luck! You got this!
Oh my god i could do it on my second day of week 1. I cannot believe it. Such a milestone for me personally. Thanku thanku thanku❤️
Yes!! You are crushing it!!
Anyone track the calories for this run? (I'm sure it varies depending on the speed ppl choose) Just looking for a rough estimate
It’s a good question. A lot of treadmills will estimate calories. Though that doesn’t help you before the workout. I wonder if there’s a website to put in speeds and times and it estimates cals. I can look around
@@IBXRunning thanks. I'm definitely going to start 'Week 1' next week and see for myself. I'll do it 2-3 times next week.
Great vid. I'm excited to start. Hopefully I'll be 5K ready soon.
@@cjmorris6101 Good luck! We would certainly be interested in knowing your calorie count each video as well if you wanted to post it!
Hi all. Is this workout every day or one day a week?
🥰🥰🥰thanks , you make workout so much fun. Love it.
Thank you for your kind words! Keep running!!
First day of week one as yesterday. See you again tomorrow! I pray this works for me. I want to be able to run 5km without stopping.
We are rooting for you!!!
Question: are we supposed to go 3 miles during this? I’m just shy of 2 miles (I’m on day 2)… just wondering
No! We are working up to 3 miles over the full series. But that is awesome that you almost made it to 2 miles already!!
@@IBXRunning thanks for the reply. Yeah-I used to do half marathons (interval running) but then I had two kids back to back. Now they’re old enough that I can give myself some time back to myself and I’m choosing to get back to running. I miss it so much. I thought this program would be a great way to get back to where I was and hopefully better than I was too.
Amazing
Excited to start this! Do I just keep doing the same workout over for week one? And the same workout over for week two and so on?
Hi Cyndi! We recommend the same workout three times per week. Then move onto the next workout the following week!
So I am definitely a 🛋 🥔 …
Let’s see how this goes 😅
You got this, Cindy!! Good luck!!
Thank you! I started with the podcast but i needed something different today! 😃🥰
You got this!
Awesome encouragement and very motivational ..how many times we shud run in a week ?
For c25k the program recommends 3 times a week before moving onto the next week's workout!
I had to take a break in between but I finished my first day
Fantastic!! Day 1 in the books!
So you do this for three times in a week and then you move on to week 2?
Yes!!
Day 1 completed. Not done this for a while but looking forward to getting to week 9.
That’s awesome, Paul!! Get at it!
This program is helping my running dreams come true! Thank you!
Omg so happy to hear that!!! Keep crushing it!!!
Apki next vedio kb ay g ?
Hi running team. I did day 1 week one.
How many days a week do I need to do each workout?
Do I only run again next week for week 2?
Read the description
Just did my first one and I definitely pushed myself! Can’t wait to do the rest Tysm
Yes!! Keep at it!!
Love ibex running, just wondering where is she now. Veronica and Rachel are pretty awesome, just haven’t seen Kristin doing some videos lately.
Kristen is awesome! She just lives much further away from where we shoot and is focusing on building out her online fitness business. Her instagram is awesome (@kristen.fitpro) too so you should definitely check it out!!
@@IBXRunning you guys are great. Ever since I purchased my treadmill for almost 2 years now, you guys are my go to video. Thanks a bunch!❤️👍🏽
@@mmante78 Thank you so much for running with us!!
Where did she go!?
While I couldn't keep up and had to stop 10 minutes in due to feeling light headed I loved the overall experience. I will continue watching this video from the beginning to see if I can make it further than I did before. Thank you so much for these videos
This is so helpful. I couldn’t make it through either so it’s nice to see that I wasn’t the only one lol. I’m going to keep trying though. I hope you do too 🤗
I was only able to get halfway of my first session, and just finished the 2nd all throughout with a bit of lightheadedness. We gotta push until the 3rd!
this was amazing- thank you so much for this video! I feel capable of reaching my goal now :)
Love this! Helps with my training ❤
Thank you!! What are you training for?
How could I use Couch to 5k program for half marathon training? Is it possible?

Yay! Thank you! Good luck on your couch to 5K journey!! Keep us updated!!
Week #1 done! Thank you so much for these vids! 💪🏻🏃🏻♀️
Just going to start this for the first time. I’ve never ran in my life. I’m 56 and need to get into better shape and lose weight. How often do you do each week? Is it daily?
Hi Sandra! The recommended amount is 3 times a week, taking the other days as rest days! Keep us updated on how it is going!
@@IBXRunning thanks for your reply. I started yesterday and survived!! I’m motivated to keep going now.
@@Jetstream97 Yes!! Good luck!
Can i do this as running in place
You can! I would recommend taking your phone with you on a run outside instead though if you don't have access to a treadmill!
Happy New Year! 2021 starts today my first run in the bag. You have made running in the treadmill much more enjoyable and look forward to completing my goals with you. I was going to ask about the number of runs per week to do but I see from the comments its 3. I was thinking of doing 5 exercises a week out of 7 bringing in some ab/core/weights exercises perhaps on different days, any suggestions? Thank you Woody
Hey, Woody! Welcome to the channel! Yea, so for couch to 5K, we recommend 3 per week of the same workout. As for other workouts, you’re welcome to sprinkle in whatever you feel works for you. Just stay safe and do what you think you can sustain. Good luck!!
@@IBXRunning Thanks again and looking forward to todays run
@@richardwoodhouse563 Happy Trails!
I invested in a treadmill and myself and hubby did our first workout with you ,wow amazing going to try and do all the program over the 9 weeks 💪🏃♂️🏃♀️ ❤
I love C25K app. I'm about to buy a treadmill but as I watch you know I can't figure out how you can switch speeds with just one touch or is this specific to your treadmill ? Tx
Some treadmills have preset speeds on the dashboard. The treadmill we are using (NordicTrack) has almost every whole number going up to the max speed. Makes it easy!!
@@IBXRunning Thank you.
@@eddymercury5548 You're welcome! I hope ou enjoy your new treadmill. We are rolling out new treadmill workouts every week!
Thanks to you I've finally stopped procrastinating and finally started and finished W1D1!
Also running (in general and especially on a treadmill) seems so awkward to me still. Hope that will quickly change though.
We love hearing that!!
If you’re just starting out running, it can definitely feel awkward. But I’m sure it’ll feel a lot more natural soon. Keep us updated on your workouts and keep on going!

Heck yea!!! Great job!
Thanks

I might be missing something…. Do I do this workout everyday for the first week. Then move to week 2?
Is this the only workout for week 1? I don’t see others.
You do each "week" workout 3 times, taking rest days in between each day. And then move on to the next video the following week. So you are repeating the same video 3 times in a week.
I started my 5k running yesterday before I was running progressive intervals thanks so much treadmill no longer boaring
Nice work! Keep us updated on your 5K progress!!
Im going to try this interval hopefully it will help me increase my endurance
