Everything is coming together now for Joost...that's why he is emotional i can imagine. As a child he was always watching eurovision together with his parents and now he is standing there at this stage and his parents aren't there anymore.
I can understand that he didn't want to share this moment yet. But i was sitting on my couch like 😮 and then 😭 I wanted to hug Joost and i will the next time and again and again. I forgot even the bird (sorry Apson) He's so authentic
We love Joost. his wish when he was little was to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest. The best gift we can all give in Europe is to let Joost win. let's all be one in Europe. his song has many messages. love. sadness, pain, joy and we are all human and together we are strong. Joost's performance is pure art. this really deserves a winning game. we love you Joost, we are happy to be your family in Europe.
At the beginning of this clip you see Joost snapping out of something. Maybe this is the thing he is hiding from us... that for the viewers point of view that there is something with AR (that is he in a videogame)... the 34% and 66% reference and the references in the videoclips that he is in a game would also make sence... joost isnt moving on the stage so maybe he has to stand in one place to make the AR work... that would make sence and it something that hasnt been done yet as the dutch delegation said...
@@VoornaamAchternaam-kr4vkYea, I believe he even said that he regretted saying the words of it 'being like the moonlanding'. I think this theory might actually be it, sounds great. And idk if Gover did want to create this big expectation. But now the odds dropped HARD. But if they wanted that to happen, I expect them to go up HARD after the actual performance gets revealed. There is a lot of marketing going on.
@@bojicc9miso maybe? Both his parents died, his childhood ended abruptly at a very young age. This is not only his childhood dream but he also told his parents he would perform at eurovision one day. It's amazing to me that he isn't crying throughout 24/7 while there.
@@eevee2411 everything is understandable and relatiable what you wrote and it is tragedy to lose both parents while young. However, should the song win competition by talent/creativeness rather by empathy over a personal tragedy? Is the eurovision song CONTEST really a place to grab points based on tears? I bet other artists experienced personal tragedies too as most people on this planet did.. yet they compete without bringing it up..
And still this is not the final show we will see. It will be more amazing. Surprise! Cha cha cha cha cha cha.... Europapa the winner of Eurovision 2024 🎉
Anyone who has ever seen his concerts knows that in this song he takes you on the full emotional journey that he normally spreads out over more than an hour and he managed to put it in just 3 minutes and a bit now.
When I lost my father I felt homesick, I still do in a way. For me this song is about dealing with the emptiness caused by losing a loved one ❤ Only love for Joost.
Trust me, he’s gonna win this contest this year. We literally dont know anything about the act we do think we know but we won’t. Everything will be seen from the TV. we only saw the end joost klein has worked this out and he is not gonna throw away his chances he worked so hard to get here :) also the bookies yall are sooo sooo wrong
He is the most pretentious and cheap salesman ever, does not deserve to win just for how irritating he can be...there are better songs and nicer characters
Its only recently he is able to openly discuss and sing about his parents. So it’s only logical he gets emotional. This song for him also a way of trying to leave the pain behind. Ofcourse he’ll always love and miss his parents, but he cannot let the grief take the color out of his days forever
I agree : loved the message the Guy and the lyrics. But the techno part gave me a headache. But watching the message at the end of his clip i m moved. It catched me it s impactful...and i feel connected to the expérience.. The performance..
Don't think too much of these cliips. Joost is not giving a lot away. Ths is going tyo be EPIC!! Joost did not want to give his show away so we don't get to see much. We are going to be amazed when the whole performance is shown.
In a way its kinda symbolic with a deeper message. He is equating his eurocentric dad with europe. In the song he sings about his grief. Just like europeans are complaining about the eu lately. And the message is how in the end he left the grief about losing his parents behind and focuses on the good memories. So if his euro dad is Europa, wouldn't the message be to yes feel the negative feelings cause Europa is kinda on f^re but let go of the grief and focus on the positive in order to have a better future. Its kinda a unifying message if you think about it.
Oh my god people I am talking about the end of the video where William said "take a joke, lets do some gabber". I'm from the Netherlands and super proud of our song ❤️

Do you guys know if the public will actually get to read those subtitles of this "we are all human beings" message??? That would be SO GREAT.
Yes! I think I read somewhere that the english subtitles will be shown behind him on the screen
The subtitles will actually be on screen!

This period is so important for him and he must miss his parents so much to support him
So he will cry all 4 times at the end of song (2 rehearsals and 2 live shows) with real tears?

It's not going to be Amsterdam.
I don't understand the bookmakers... Joost is nr 1!
I hope if Joost wins and gets the chance to sing the song again, he'll end with the whole outro. That would be so awesome because it is so beautiful.
It really is. I would like that too. The music underneath that outro is so beautiful.
