I wished you ve done a long video about how to take cilinder step by step out of body for ppl like me who don t know about mechanics . Mine stays on idle at 3000 with the idle screw at maximum out so probably it s one cilinder out of sync or something like that. I will try the needle method to sync all carbs

Hi, sounds as if you have an air leak. At one of the manifolds maybe. With carbs you have to be very very meticulous as they are precision instruments. Do everything very slowly and carefully. As just one of the small jets can cause major havoc when it is running. The enrichment tubes get blocked and are a complete nightmare to unblock. Buy new jets, they are only about £4 each. They will make all the difference. This bike ran so nice when it was finished, and I know it was the carbs that made all the difference.

I fixed by moving a little the pilot screw but I went blindly also I think I might have a problem with the fuel petcock because I m running the engine with PRI so I might have that replaced. Thank you

@@fsociety4829 Yes, the petcock is a bit of a problem with those bikes. I overhauled mine. PRI is fine, but turn it off before you stop the engine as it can flood the engine.

How does it flood the engine when it has to go through the fuel pump and the engine isn't turning.

Those taps with the PRI position, can end up pouring fuel into the engine, even with the engine off. If everything is working fine it won't do any damage. But if there is a slight fault, a carb seal that is leaking, fuel will get into the engine. Vac taps are a good idea, but sometimes they can be a problem.@@tez803

Hi, thanks for the nice comment. I really enjoyed doing these carbs as they were not easy. But now they look the part, and the engine runs superbly

Had loads of problems with my carbs. Buke runs ok up to 3500-4000 revs then splutters and dies unless throttled back. Have stripped carbs checked throttle position sensor. Wondering if I've an air leak or one carb that is badly out. All exhaust manifolds get hot so firing across all four.

Hi, If the bike runs ok up to 3500 rpm, then it is probably either a fuel supply problem, (pump, float valve, etc) or a blocked main jet, or emulsion tube.. The main jets are quite easy to get to and to clear, check that they haven't been changed (might be the wrong size) Let me know how you get on.

I have the same problem , I wanted to clean the airscrew holes and I did it but like an idiot I have wrote in notes how many turns I had to turn for their proper pos for every carb and somehow I have lost that notes so what I did I turn them all to max and then 1 and half turn , 2 and 3 and I still have that problem maybe it is other things like mainjet or Idk , I will post a video on my acc
