Hello Chris are you still around I’ve recently employed at a care home and on the first week I witness a carer smoking by the oxygen cylinder x 3 that are big like Rocket same reported to manager then on 2nd witnessed fire door propped open with the heavy yellow clinical bin over night by the night team same reported to manager but still keeps happening what should I do now

Are employers required to wear PPE if they are on site? I can't find information on this anywhere.

Protective equipment should be guided by the risk assessment, which should identify controls using a hierarchy control level. First rule is to try and remove the high risk activity, but if you must do and can’t have engineering controls, PPE should be worn, but what is required is based on the hazards.
