Hi I ordered the hood and food tugger set. I bought my victor m210 on Saturday, put one of the traps out, and this morning the rat was dead, and I didn’t need to pay . The removal people anything. I was quoted from 700-1600 to for those services or a full 5 k to do an attic.
Cleanse, and re-insulate. I had previously done a block entrances back in 2018, this is my second rat in my kitchen since last year. This time you guys saved me a lot. I appreciate the kit.

Always look forward to learning more from the Twins and with their help I caught 6 rats, once catching 2 juveniles at once. Haven't heard or seen anything in over a week now. Damn little buggers chewed through a plastic water line which created a small flood in basement. I tell ya, nails through a trap in the kill area are important and testing different baits too.

Hi Jim & Dave, I've been multi-viewing your videos and seeing several methods of sealing small holes / passages that vermin might use as entries. What do you recommend as far as MESH....stainless steel VS copper VS caulk combo ? ? ? I have a fairly large "Western Room " with TRAPEZOIDAL metal roofing...plenty of holes to fill. Your suggestions PLEASE
Any type of metallic material is the best, stainless steel and or copper equivalent provided that you really secure it down with stainless screws. You can also use water proof concrete to cover the mesh or use to fill up smaller entry points.
Not a big fan of caulking and foam mixed in to secure any mesh down. It’s not sustainable long term exclusion work.

Dont really see any comments about the fishing pole, maybe i didnt scroll down far enough. In terms of actually catching them with it, imo i think it’s a bit of a stretch, but 1) it’s still a better idea than the owls, and 2) at least it could be used to identify if there’s activity in said areas, vs the owls doing absolutely nothing for the cause. With that said, two rats per activated trap@3x is dang impressive! Never heard of such efficiency w/Victor traps, no matter what mods to it, or lack thereof. Goes w/out saying that that threesome you folks had a bit back was just flawless! Keep up the great work and thank you for putting on these free Masterclasses! Rat dance ftw! Aloha

You should've used one of your biodegradable plastic thingy's instead of that wire mesh. BTW Stainless Steel wire mesh won't rust.

When I was a kid my cousins were renting a house that had rats in the kitchen.
My cousin and I one night got the idea of fishing in the dark kitchen from the living room.
We put some small hooks on and cheese and put them near the stove and let the line out and went into the living room with our poles.
We had some bites after midnight but never caught one.

You'd better add some steel fishing wire near the hook. I have also heard, that people tried rat fishing using steel string with small triple hook on its end. The bait was lard. Possibly meat, lard or something rats can not lick will suffice.

I was taught to hold my hands out, horizontally, in front of me, grabbing the rails, with the ladder touching my toes to get the correct angle. How do you do it?
What would you guy's do about burrows of at least 40 holes in the green area. Roughly in a 50 square feet area. There's an acre plus we border a park so there may be more under bushes etc... We have got an excellent pest control company working here for several years who poison around the area and all the management respect them but now residents are hearing rats in walls. It's getting worrying.
Wow!! Love to take this challenge on. We would need to see photos and the surrounding area in order to advise. Definitely need to exclude the 50 square ft area with specialized materials.
This is why I really don't like most commercial pest control companies - all they typically do is come out, set out a half-dozen bait stations, and then charge you every few months to come refill them. Plus the poisoned rats kill other predators that feed on them. In your situation, there will be no way to eliminate the rats but you need to make your property as unappealing to them as possible, and catching as many of them as you can will definitely help to control the local population. In living at my former home I caught over 500 rats outdoors over 25 years, most people have absolutely no idea how many critters are running through their yards at night!

haven’t watched it yet…homeowner said that he saw a capped pipe in the wall… which is likely a code violation. who knows… just guessing for the halibut.
I saw the hole on the ceiling, but why was there smoke coming out of the toilet? Is it an obvious answer, and I am just having big brain fart? LOL
The smoke machine inlet baffle is too far open causing too much pressure and blowing out of the toilet. I've got the same equipment and it's never fun to start up the machine, walk into the house and hear that sound. Simple adjustment reduces the pressure but then you've got to clean up the water before you can get the job done..
