'Barbie in A Christmas Carol' Review & Analysis || Overanalysing Barbie

On the 7th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a video overanalysing Barbie!
I’ve been looking for an excuse to rewatch classic Barbie films, and now I think I’ve found one. Overanalysing Barbie plots seems right on brand for my vision for the channel… We’re starting with ‘Barbie in a Christmas Carol’. It’s late, but at least it’s out!

I'm finally writing a comment weeks after watching this video! 😅
I remember I felt mixed by the reason of the change of Eden's attitude. At first glance, it seems she changed because she was afraid to become poor. But I like your interpretation: the fact that it is a story of friendship (or platonic love if we ship the two characters together lol). And that Eden's journey is to understand how strong her bond with Catherine is very important and that she doesn't want to lose her.
I hope you'll make other videos about the Barbie movies. They are better girly media than most people may think.

I always found it very interesting that there are only two Barbie protagonist who don't have the typical Barbie look of "medium" blonde hair and blue eyes:
1. Eden
2. Mariposa
which sets them apart, considering that they aren't actually "played" by Barbie the actress (like in Musketeers or Diamond Castle) but characters of a story that Barbie is telling.
Anyways, great video, I really looove these overanalysing formats that are informative and not too forceful in their interpretations, if you know what I mean 💞😁

I think even Eden and Mariposa's voice actors are different to Barbie's. But actually, funnily (Kelly Sheridan as) Barbie gave Amazon an interview in 2008 where Barbie says she 'plays' Eden. Barbie also calls 'A Christmas Carol' her first holiday film in this interview... so idk if we can take her word for it 🙃
